Was working for British telecommunications...UK organisation...hence timings were from afternoon...

Anyways this time I might be in uae IA...I've learnt a lesson and in any case i m not gonna gamble this time

What due course? The window got opened some months ago, professionally and ideally, they should have given some updates with time, but they didn't, which I find unprofessional.

It won't be telecasted this time again...if something then there's chance of being telecasted in 2018 or 2019

Thats not the managments fault if no channel in india bought licenses for broadcasting from the official channel

I'll explain u in detail...its not just Psl and Broadcaster involvment but, it involves BCCI and IPL as well...

Look, psl rights is acquired by TEN till 2018 psl 3, which can telecast in INDIA

But now psl is owned by SONY...Which telecasts IPL...

SONY is already worried about IPL rights which ends in 2017,that it might go to STAR(which is more likely)

No way TEN SPORTS(i.e SONY) will telecast PSL as it might be a rival for IPL...If they do then BCCI might give rights to STAR as SONY is marketing a Rival league...Hence sony wil neva telecast PSL and end up losing Rights of such lucrative IPL league.

But if IPL gives its rights to STAR from 2018, then SONY might lose IPL rights, hence they might telecast PSL from 2018/2019..

And if u say they can telecast in NEO SPORTS(which telecasts BPL)...Then its just lik ur PTV sports..its waste marketing if they sell it to neo..which won't even give enough money..

All PCB can do is sit and pray, that IPL gives its rights to STAR(from 2018), then they can extend their contract with TEN(SONY) from 2019
 
Also people who are always critisizing pcb need to sometimes use their brain.

Lq and kk are conducting trials for emerging players for psl draft, so how exactly could a draft take place before these trials are done?

Look they are doing it for PSL no doubt, but never did they say for 2017...I know it from INDIA alas u don't know it.

LQ gonna make 8 teams(16 in each)
Then they play matches....and 2 top performers would be selected...So if u look at the process its gonna take a long time.

The trials are for emerging players no doubt but no way they are gonna include them in this year's draft.
Either they'll directly bring them in their squad or mostly they'll bring them for 2018 psl 3

But that's not logically possible.

Coz in INDIA TEN(SONY) owns the rights.

As per the conditions you cant sell the rights to another Broadcaster.

Yes u can BUT it should be mentioned in the contract.

As PCB did in Pakistan(TEN(It was ZEE then), PTV, GEO) all has the rights to telecast and it was intimated to the broadcasters during the contract.

But in INDIA only TEN has the rights, hence now PCB cant sell it to NEO atleast till 2019 as TEN own the rights for 3 years till 2018

They will be added to emerging player slot. They will be selected.
 
During the last PSL, the highest traffic on gateway, the official streaming website, was from India. No channel including Ten had rights to broadcast it in India.

Yes they might be selected, but they wont be added to the draft in any case as it will take time until they complete the whole process

Even logically it doesn't fit.
Tell me. LQ finds talent, nurtures them and adds to the draft.IF PZ picks them for their team they(LQ) will look like fools to groom them and in the end PZ picking them...

I don't think it would work that way . is it?

Coz as per my knowledge TEN owned the rights, they're not gonna own separately for each and every country.

TEN owned it as the INTERNATIONAL broadcaster, just lik PAKISTAN MATCHES' broadcaster.

Its PCB and their senseless statements is nothing new.

In the end they'll say, we did negotiate but the broadcasters weren't interested

Utmost they might be negotiating with TEN(SONY itself) asking them to telecast as they already has the rights.

No way they gonna sell rights to a new broadcaster when TEN already has the rights

Anyways, IPL is gonna giv its rights to STAR (from 2018)for sure, and poor SONY/TEN will be left stranded.

Hence IA SONY/TEN would telecast PSL in INDIA from 2018/2019...Hope not out

Let's see, we'll get a clearer picture in a few days.
 
Then post 2018..All big leagues would be with STAR(IPL,BBL,Natwest T20) and average would be with SONY(Ram Slam,CPL,PSL) and Small league would be with NEO(BPL)

Nein, Ten is/was never the international broadcaster. You have Ghazi in Bangladesh, OSN in UAE, Flow in WI, Prime in UK, Tensports only had rights for Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

There was no international broadcaster as it was PCB's own production (thankfully). The global television rights are with Tech front UAE that acts as a distribution company.

The one who succeeded were mostly these oldies. And the new youngsters and unknowns generally failed

No, it doesn't work like that. Broadcast rights are per region for each company.

No other team would be willing to take a stupid risk by selecting some other youngster.

ANyways, no other way could a player be selected and would be selected through emerging player from the draft.

Qalander have traded Gayle with Tanvir and Maqsood with Yameen (Faizan Lakhani)
Transfer window is now officially closed, transfers will be announced later but since Qalander are linked with Geo network hence both their transfers are made public by their journo

I am ok with trading Gayle but getting tanvir in return is like trading a Ferrari for a Tanga...I am sure they could have done much better

Yamin and McC are very good deals tho. Should have kept Gayle, imagine him and McC.

They needed some lower order hitters and to improve there bowling not a bad option but not the best.

Baz is a terrific choice by Lahore. Bit suprised that they aren't keeping gayle. Be interesting to see what they do with Bravo

How can Lahore transfer B McCullum? He wasn't in any team last year. He would only be available via draft.

Good for babar Azam


Misbah is not ideal for any young player he always favor oldies like ifti and imran khalid and khalid latif

I am afraid i have to change my team this year United was my last time favorite because of Babar,Kamran

ghulam and Ammad butt but if babar leaves i may go with karachi
 
I hope Islamabad united releases players like Umar Amin, Ammad butt we all know that misbah will not play them, he will just bench them.
Misbah is/was never ideal for a youngster.
