China has agreed to supply Pakistan with 40 J-35A stealth fighter jets, KJ-500 Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS), and HQ-19 long-range air defense systems. The agreement, reported by Defense Security Asia on May 18, is seen as a big step in modernizing Pakistan’s air force and strengthening its air defense capabilities amid growing military competition in South Asia.

The J-35A is China’s latest fifth-generation stealth fighter, featuring advanced radar-evading technology, enhanced avionics, and multirole combat capabilities. The first batch of these jets is expected to be delivered to Pakistan by early 2026, with the remainder arriving in phases.

The KJ-500 AWACS will provide Pakistan with enhanced airborne surveillance, command, and control, while the HQ-19 system will bolster the country’s ability to intercept ballistic missiles and high-altitude threats.

Analysts view this comprehensive package as part of China’s broader strategy to support Pakistan’s military modernization and maintain a balance of power in the region, especially in light of India’s recent defense acquisitions.

In addition to the defense deal, China has approved a deferral of$3.7 billion in debt repayments for Pakistan, providing much-needed fiscal relief as the country faces ongoing economic challenges and foreign exchange pressures.

The partnership between the two countries is also expanding into the technology sector. Pakistan and China have signed a memorandum of understanding with Huawei to train 100,000 Pakistanis in artificial intelligence (AI) and information technology.

Had many people thought like you, Pakistan will not be surviving on IMF loans now. These made in China products are simply waste of time and money. If Pak army tries to terrorism in India again, India will strike back again as well, simple. These toys dont scare us.

Pakistan should focus on eradicating home grown terrorism which according to your defense minister Pak govt is harboring for 30 years. Also, they need to focus on development and progress of its country. If they do these, they may not need these toys. India will never attack Pakistan if not provoked but if they do no amount of China maal can save them.

Most likely China will give these for free. They recieve free data esp in a live war scenario.

But I agree with the overall point, its a shame both nations spend so much when they have so many who are poor.
 
Pakistan ramps up defence spending by 20 percent after India conflict​


Pakistan has announced a major boost to defence spending in its new budget, just weeks after coming to the brink of a fifth war with archrival India.

The budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026, announced by the government on Tuesday, ramps up defence spending to 2.55 trillion rupees ($9bn), up 20 percent from the current fiscal year, which ends this month.

The hike in defence expenditures comes amid a cut in overall spending, which is shrinking by 7 percent to 17.57 trillion rupees ($62bn).

The budget reflects Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s goals of spurring growth while boosting Pakistan’s military in the wake of the most serious conflict between the nuclear-armed neighbours in nearly three decades.

The bitter foes attacked each other with fighter jets, missiles, drones and artillery for several days in May before a ceasefire was declared.

The hostilities were triggered by a deadly attack by gunmen in Pahalgam in Indian-administered Kashmir on April 22, which India accused Pakistan of supporting. Pakistan denied any role in the attack.

A 20 percent boost in defence spending had been expected by economists, who said it would likely be offset by cuts in development spending, the Reuters news agency reported.

India’s defence spending in its 2025-2026 fiscal year, running from April to March, was set at $78.7bn, up nearly 10 percent from the previous year, and it has indicated it will ramp up its spending further in future budgets.

China claims to be selling these to Pakistan at 50% discount and apparently they received some criticism from local Chinese people for this.
But i am sure this is almost as good as free for Pakistan. It serves China's interest to keep India engaged in regional warfare.

Luckily, we celebrate war in our country like a festival and China should know that it is only just a matter of time before they too are puled into one.

We do not fear a leader who is desperate enough to even send young women into battle while he cowers and hides behind his maximum security shelter.

He fears death too much to make a decision like that. This life is as good as it will be for him, unless he changes his ways. He’ll be happy with the validation he’s getting from his people right now and won’t risk it. Yet another attention seeking mass murderer who made it to the top.

Young woman soldier. Female representation is armed forces has been getting much better recently. Its something to be proud of as an Indian. We prefer our women like that rather than being make up ki duqan like Maryam Nawaz, so disconnected from the 44% countrymen who live in poverty as per World Bank.

Our PM has lived the great Indian dream. He's risen from the bottom to become the most powerful man in the country through sheer hard work. Unlike in Pakistan where billionaire businessmen directly hold political power, that's not the case in India.

If a woman wants to serve the nation, and she's fit and qualifies for the job on merit then she must not be discouraged.
She was not forced and i don't know why are you resorting to plane lies now. Is that also not considered a bad thing from a religious pov?

I understand your overall point and support the ideology that women's primary job must be to nourish the kids and look after the house and muslims have done a commendable job at keeping it this way. The extent of submission by women in muslim nations is praise worthy.

There are many rumours about the women being sexually assaulted by the depraved bhaijaan’s of the Indian army, I found it odd why the women were being sacrificed into battle in a place with a concerning rape % in their own nation, but there seems to be a more sinister plot behind their so called inclusion in the name of the rainbow.

As a well wisher of Pakistan you should worry more about why the country feels the need to spend 80% of its budget on its military and not more of it on the prosperity of the country? That’s all that should concern you. And it should now be clear that the 80% or whatever that has been spent is the reason why the army unleashed a very minor percentage of its armour to make a hostile, terrorist aggressor like India surrender 12 hours into a full blown retort!

It’s as good as free. This is great time for Pakistan to get a lot of weapons from China and battle test them against India on behalf of the Chinese. It’s a win win situation for both China and Pakistan military.

As an Indian I welcome this as we have taken up a major indegenization program for our defense needs and these people must be kept on their toes to finish their job asap to keep up.

They’re going to improve Akash missiles to S-400 level and development on S-500 equivalent is underway.

India’s task here is to ramp up its own arsenal to Cold War USSR level. Let the Chinese bleed money on equipping the Pakistanis.

The public toilet infra in India has improved a lot.

Although they charge you Rs 2 for it as a service which is a scam. They should be completely free and maintained through tax money.

Still a lot better than previously.

Rana, India has never been a country that hides its shortcomings or runs away from them. We have been poor at a lot of things, one pointed out by you and others many times. But we have worked on it. Its not enough. But work's been done and things have improved a lot. Its not like things are any better abroad. No it is not.

BrahMos has better range, better precision hit capability thanks to its more developed guidance systems, can be fired from air and submarines apart from land and ships.

Above all it is battle tested, with verified satellite images of damages done by it well within Pakistan all over the internet

Reliability will always remain a huge issue with the Chinese weapon systems. Chinese are deceitful and often show their products as more superior paper than they really are. We saw just last month how their air defense completely embarrassed Pakistan during war time.

We are starting an arms war? Please check what all China has quietly accumulated. It maybe useless in a real war scenario but we are not at parity yet.

Besides, this is an indegenisation push. It has to happen. Cannot keep buying expensive stuff given we don’t beg for them like Pakistan does.

China has accumulated for reasons other than India.

By attacking Pakistan (for any reason) you know that China prop up Pakistan at every turn, especially militarily. Anything India does, China will counteract it through proxy via Pakistan. Anything you do, China will produce more at a faster rate even if it’s to deal with Pakistan. This is something that is dangerous for India.

Militarily, you’re almost at parity with a state much smaller (Pakistan). Fighting a war on 1.5 fronts is beyond India.

It’s a much smaller state than India, of course our country needs to be freed from many restrictions that are holding it back but why embarrassed? It only does what it does to survive. If we were the same size as you guys, I’d feel sorry for you. You’d be ruled over 😄

It’s you guys who overstate your power and get knocked back consistently. Have some shame for once and learn to be nicer.

By attacking Pakistan (for any reason) you know that China prop up Pakistan at every turn, especially militarily. Anything India does, China will counteract it through proxy via Pakistan. Anything you do, China will produce more at a faster rate even if it’s to deal with Pakistan. This is something that is dangerous for India.

Militarily, you’re almost at parity with a state much smaller (Pakistan). Fighting a war on 1.5 fronts is beyond India.

It's called yj21 and it's hypersonic .

No it doesn't if they do why are most of their missiles being intercepted in ukraine

Russia is screwed

Russian aircraft won't even dare come close to ukranian airspace , ukraine has even managed to use cheap drones to shoot down aircraft with even used a drone boat with a sam to take down aircraft

Context is key. There's not many systems, if any, that reliably intercept supersonic or hypersonic missiles. BrahMos is supersonic. Pakistan used Fatah missiles to attack India, which are not even proper missiles, but more like long range artillery. India cannot reliably intercept Shaheens or Ababeel.
 
If you are sick and you go to doctor and he give you certain medications and tells you to follow a certain diet but if you decide to take the medicine and didn’t follow the strict diet then the medicine will not going to work on you
 
I think it's time we set our ego aside and consider ordering from China too. Even BJP's Swamy admitted that Pakistan used Chinese weapons to bring down five of our jets, maybe it's time we focus on cost-cutting and saving taxpayer money instead of pride. :inti
