yasir shah might not play today

as per cricinfo ....even in early morning practice session he was facing problems while releasing the ball

Don't know who to support as an Indian. Supporting Pakistan is difficult thanks to our infamous rivalry but ten again I can't stand the likes of Barbie. Guess I'll go with Pakistan

Hafeez playing no shahzad , imran khan also playing no junaid . malik at 3

oh nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
:pacepalm:

Wow, surprised to see Hafeez ahead of Shehzad. Top order looks quite weak.

No Yasir is a blow :(

Would have taken Shehzad over Hafeez tbh. And it's a disaster that tbey didn't have a third spinner in squad.

No Shehzad. Awww.

In before someone loses support for Misbah...

That's an amazingly dodgy top three that you have with Hafeez, Masood and Malik.

Two of them are in the team for their chucking, which they can't use, while the other looked dodgy against Sri Lanka's "pace" attack and now faces Broad and Anderson.

dont worry guys we have Imran khan in the team. Cant lose a test with him in the side.

Nice to see Malik in the whites. Things are going smoothly. .:raja

Hafeez does average 50 in UAE I read somewhere so hopefully not all bad.

Shahzad also averages quite high in the UAE, 3 of his hundreds have come there

Also when he scores a 100, he tends to go on with it.

Should be fun. At the very worst, all three get out within the first 15 overs and then Younis, Misbah, Shafiq and Sarfaraz get us to 300+.

not a fan of either for test opening, but would have gone with shehzad over hafeez.
hafeez is walking wicket if anderson can even swing it 1/2 inch.
also shehzad can bowl part-time leg spin if things get crazy on pitch with breakup on final day.

Just have to back the team both have same weakness against swing so don't think it would make a big difference.

Top 3 could b flaky but let's get behind them. If ever they should get rums it's today on this road

3 pacers 2 spinners

3 pacers and 1.5 spinners.

Well I guess it's a good thing the venue is Abu Dhabi and not Sharjah or Dubai.

46.19: Runs spinners have averaged in Abu Dhabi after the last time Pakistan played England here in 2012. In Tests since 2013, this is the worst they have averaged at any venue in Asia. In four Tests here during this period, spinners have taken 51 wickets and only one five-wicket haul. In the Test here between the two teams in 2012, they took 31 of the 40 wickets to fall at an average of 18.00.

This series should've been in December/January like last time. Its very hot at this time of the year. Pakistan with a massive advantage batting first. England will really have to toil under the hot sun.

Lol you serious? What is UAE without the heat bearing down on you?

back to work, hopefully when i come back i will not see score like 34/3 or even 11/3 :D

Let's hope Hafeez start from where he left off last time we were in the UAE.

Feel sad for YK :( he deserve better

damn you wapda walo poore 11 bijli gae ab 12 ayegi an i am not in the mood to watch on stream :(

Hafeez was always going to play the first Test ahead of Shehzad. Only Shehzad fanboys (and a few others) thought otherwise.

Time for me to go to sleep. God bless night shifts, hopefully will wake up to good news.

Lol ramiz with his usual bs. First over hasn't been bowled and he is talking about a draw.
