I am sure Malik won't throw away his wicket like Babar did. Come on, now need hundred from you.

Run Out still haunting me.

That was the turning point actually. Chasing 350 needs someone to hit 150, & MoHa was the best available in UAE, was well set as well. Also, as long as runs are coming Malik can keep rotating with zero risk. Still PAK had done enough to take positives - you chase 350 successfully by luck, but the approach should be right. Abu Dhabi is probably a better batting track - similar approach would have won PAK the 2nd ODI

Big Lesson for Yasir, he got to bowl more flighted deliveries with slower pace. He cannot be successful in ODI with fast pace and flatter bowling

Anyone who expects Umar Akmal to keep his wits about him in this kind of chase - lololololol

Malik really throw this one awaay seriously man hard luck for Pakistan.

Malik against pace is still work in progress. He is not going to win many matches against western sides

He could have dispatched it anywhere.

What a horrible juxtaposition. "Akmal looked" so what? First you say, he looked bad and now you're comparing him to Akmal who looked good. I thought he looked bad? Literally nothing Babar would have done would have impressed you. The audacity of you to point the finger at me for having a bias when in every single post you have said "well Akmal...".

It's laughable.

I look biased in my judgement of a 21 whom I have no affiliation with, on Team Pakistan which has had a history of players who play hundreds of matches and can barely average 20, and then a player comes in and looks solid, in a match which would have been a ridiculous chase and looked our best bat today.

Look, I don't know which Pakistani batsmen you have watched over the last ten years, but we have had a plethora of awful ones, and there really is no one below Babar that should play over him that I know of.

Or should we bring back Shafiq? Maybe Afridi? Jamshed?

Bias is you, who hates Babar simply because Umar is his cousin.

I just want Pakistan to win, and if I see someone who is 21, has 4 fifties in 8 matches, with a good SR, still has a lot of work to do, but has shown potential, then I will support them, especially when I haven't seen a half decent bat in years truly who is consistent and would be a big contributor in today's modern ODI dormat.

Calling him Akmal was banter. If you want to call me out for banter then call out all the other names that people have for other batsmen who are not nearly half as good, but too overrated by their die hard fans.
The shezzie haters, the misbah haters, im not hating one anyone for calling names but I am not offended by them either.
If you dont understand the meaning of banter then frankly you have not gotten used to the norms of this forum.
On these forums all sorts of conspiracy theories are hatched by fan boys to portray a conspiracy against their favorites. So you probably dont know how things work here.
Kid is good I said that before but you cannot win games with useless 50s specially when you have all the time coming in at no.4

Another batsman throwing it away after a good start, making a fifty then holing out

Mountain to climb now.

Should have deposited it for 6

Exactly my point

Even then its super hard (which was my earlier point).

But it will make it interesting for sure.

Seen this current chase situation played out many times in various degrees.

Faulkner vs India 7th ODI 2013....

Just as I am typing this, another wicket falls.

Shobby himself.

Done and dusted now.

Literally when Ramiz was saying they do NOT need to go for slog shots, getting out on a full toss in that manner.

Terrible

though it was a great catch

These players all of them getting useless fifties and then getting out seriously what is the point of having such players in the side.
Malik lejund flat track bully is only good enough when he gets dropped 2-3 times.

NONE of our batsmen can COVERT!!! Aghhhhh. A couple of 50s does nothing, NOTHING, when you're chasing 350.

That is now the top 5 gone, all with starts and a highest of 52. Come on guys. Spirited effort but it is not really possible to win when you do this.

Didn't hold our nerve tonight - let the pressure of the chase get to us. 126 off 104 is very doable with more wickets in hand.

Can still do this. These two need to take it to the last 10. Just stay in there. Make a game of it now.

We are just too far off, if we were 60-70 away we could have still had hope in Sarfi..

But 120 odd is just too much

Lol Anwar Ali joins the party. What's he gonna do? Give autographs on his bank alfalah sponsored bat?

Damn it man, we didn't even need a big shot at this stage :(

This is the real issue. We can't construct a modern ODI chase. These would've been amazing performances if they were batting first, we would've been thrilled with the aggression.

But none of them (Azhar, Babar, Rizwan, Malik) seemed to understand that they were in a good position, and didn't need to do anything except stand at the crease for like 10 more overs.

Anwar ali you can open the bowling forever if just make us win here somehow please

You should be pointing that out to malik now coz frankly he is latest to get out batting like akmal.

I enjoy how you said "that was just banter" to try and cover up your nonsense. It is actually hilarious.

Anyways, good day to you sir, I hope you enjoy watching the dearth of batting talent that is being restricted by the awful players on our team. Can't wait for those 50+ batsmen sitting at home to come in and dominate. Oh wait...

Still can't believe we're 230 at 32 overs.
