it is alrite, the reason I asked was..... I am looking for a club to play for, played for Tnt league in toronto and Etobicoke league(first division) for three years. Don't wanna go back to the same team, did not like their system, was just thinking that you might be from my local area and might be able to hook me up for net practice, which i wanna start from december, indoor of course, but I guess you are from a different city, thanks for answering anyways.

hmmmm....they just don't seem sincere enough for me.

well they are all known to be 'India bashers' so why not

Something wrong with this cricinfo commentary?

34.2 Shoaib Akhtar to Dravid (i.e Right hander), no run, effort ball, short but way down leg stump and Akmal has to dive to his right

Yeah I have way too much time on my hands.

which team did you play for caved ?? :D do you know anyone by names - Anand, Prashanth, Umair ??

Anand used to play for U-19 canada. Umair is an amazing, amazing batsman from Karachi. He thrashed the Faroe Islands attack once into oblivion. Technical yet aggressive. Used to play for Karachi U-19 he said.

Sania Mirza used to look more hotter, now she is just so so.... I dont know what she is eating.

35.3 Kaneria to Dravid, FOUR!!, flighted delivery outside the off stump, Dravid comes on the frontfoot, reaches for it and drives it to deep extra cover, that is a beautiful shot!!!

No worries bro....

Just a word of advice, try to keep away from the Pak teams. They are usually just a bunch of park cricketers who enjoy the usual politics/arguments and lack of organisation.

Hence, why I've always played with established English teams....good organisation and structured leagues etc. More chance of you flourishing in that kind of environment. Plus you don't get the usual Pak bull'es.

All the best bro.....

Wow!

To do that of such a great bowler as well...a mini-superstar....excellent work Dravid. I reckon he's on for a ton here.

Wait till Sami comes on....Dravid will be licking his lips.

Keep up the good work Sami and Dhanish....kutchies in arms.

True Jimmy, right on, that's all they do, very unfair most of the times.

India, 220 runs a head, This test match has drawn written all over it.

No......No..

Lets make a quick 70-80 runs tmr...and give pak a tempting target.
Let them go for it..They have to win if they need to draw the series.

No pressure on India...Then try to make it 2-0..rather than a dull draw....

:D

:))) :)))

Draw, draw, draw.

Kumble would be foolish to give us even a hint of a chance and he wont. He will bat well after lunch.

Anyway...Pakistan's 1-0 series win last year has been reversed by India. Our bowling has lacked bite throughout the series. We just never looked like getting 20 wickets. So India deserved winners.

hopeless pitch..but nice..with such preparation, it will be nice to see India get thrashed in Australia...he he

Congratulations India, gifting Pakistan 76 extras - well impressed! :)))

Maybe India and Pakistan should just play twenty, Twenty20's between them, as in real cricket they're not even has-beens.

you are really excited and really enjoying these moments, I would be doing the same, especially when my team would win a test series at home after 200
years. :))) :)))

India should bat for the next 10 overs in the first session tommorow, make 80 runs and give Pakistan a total of around 300 runs to chase in 80 overs.

Difficult to score at that rate..
but they can certainly give a tempting target of around 300 run may be just before lunch. Difficult though , but not impossible i guess.

india will neva declare unless they know there isn't even an outside chance of us winning

Hence my suggestion. And a ready made game in which India can reign supreme over Pakistan, willingly :))

India's going to set a total of atleast 350 for pak..Kumble wont risk losing a test at his homeground to pak when a draw is clearly there for the taking..

this had to happened to Pak, when a person like Ganguly starts making runs. still can't believe it. ;)

Global sports media house buys leading cricket site

ESPN acquires Cricinfo

'Cricinfo is a tremendous property with a great fan base and it will be a strong addition to ESPN' - Russell Wolff, Managing director of ESPN International © Cricinfo Ltd

In another significant landmark in its evolution, Cricinfo has been acquired by ESPN, the global sports media powerhouse. The acquisition was announced by ESPN and the Wisden Group earlier this morning.

With this, Cricinfo joins a stable of top-drawer sports websites including ESPN.com, the US's premier online sports destination, and ESPNsoccernet.com - the world's leading English-language football website.

"Growing our business in the online world is vital for us to serve sports fans," said Russell Wolff, managing director of ESPN International. "Cricinfo is a tremendous property with a great fan base and it will be a strong addition to ESPN."

Explaining the decision, Mark Getty, director of the Wisden Group, said: "Cricinfo has developed into a significant cricket brand in its own right, combining huge global popularity with strong commercial success. ESPN is a major sports broadcaster and international rights holder and will provide the perfect environment for Cricinfo to further realise its enormous potential."

The Wisden Group, Getty said, would continue to focus on its Hawk-Eye sports technology business in cricket, tennis and a growing range of other sports.

"We have had a strong working relationship with ESPN for a number of years," Tom Gleeson, Cricinfo's managing director, said, "and we know how successful they are in providing innovative online sports content. We look forward to drawing on ESPN's expertise in sports marketing and digital media."

Today's announcement marks the latest stage of Cricinfo's evolution since its inception, in 1993, as an online community of cricket fans supplying cricket-related information on a voluntary basis.

Cricket lends itself perfectly to online coverage: the length of matches and the statistics-rich nature of the game combine to drive high global usage and build loyalty, and that's where Cricinfo has scored. Beginning with scorecards and live scores, the portal pioneered audio and video streaming of cricket matches.

After few years of independent existence, Cricinfo received its first major investment in 1999 from Sify, an Indian IT company, which acquired a majority stake in the company. It changed hands four years later when the Wisden Group, which then ran its own cricket website, wisden.com, bought it.

Since then Cricinfo has built on its reputation for providing accurate, live scoring from cricket matches the world over, by adding ball-by-ball commentary for most international games and building a database including every one of the 3000 international and 45,000 first-class cricketers to have played the game. It always had breadth, and it acquired depth by tapping into Wisden's traditional strengths in terms of comment, analysis and general reportage by the world's leading cricket writers.

The merger of those two resources has made Cricinfo the world's leading cricket website today, ranked number one in all of its major markets and reaching more than seven million users every month. The site's reach, authority and brand recognition is unrivalled in the online cricket world. And Cricinfo now reaches beyond the Internet - so that fans can get Cricinfo content on mobile applications and on some of the world's leading internet portals.

I don't know man, he has got the most runs in the series so far, if he scores a fifty, then he might get it. what do you think? who else is a better candidate for that award?

You have to look at Ganguly's bowling as well.

How ironic that for a bowler that takes so much pride in his pace, his slower ball is often the most potent weapon.

well it's his pace that makes the slower ball so potent.

Exactly - what use is a 70mph 'slower one' if you the fast one is only 80mph?

Akhtar's success came from the 1st ball of the over being 94mph...and the 3rd (wkt taking ball) being 74 mph (thats 20 mph slower)!

No one else can manage those ranges in speed

excellent batting from Pakistan again! The game is not as far way as people think...major possibility of an upset tomorrow

Batting was good.. Good batting by Misbah and Ganguly.
Lets hope for some contest tomorrow

I'll repeat: dead impressed that Pakistan, on Yuvi's onslaught, contained India's first innings score to well under 800 runs.

Well India is ranked no 2 in the world in test at the moment

Only possiblity is if Shiv Sena digs up the pitch making it a minefield! No way Pakistan can take 10 wickets with two passenger bowlers.

I hope Pak pulls this one off tomorrow.....c'mon Pakistan

I am having fun all the time and I would not give a damn even if you have an issue, that's why I am here, I am a cricket lover, enjoying every moment of it. love this forum and the people here, always here even when my team is losing, and have seen a lot of you guys, who only come out when their team is winning. I hope you stick around, and learn to behave.

If you are a regular user, you would also have seen the other way around, i.e Pak fans behaving the same way so why single Indian fans out?

Most Indian posters on PP (I said MOST, not all) are like keeray who come out of a hole when their team is doing well. I guarantee half of the currently active Indian posters will be gone when their teams get a thrashing from Australia/whoever in the future. Anyways, who cares really, we will be here.

Indiafan, I don't know you much and your question is quite innocent and honest, cause you are trying to defend your indian brother, that's fine with me, but then again I don't have time to sit here and argue with you and explain you any of this situation. You are welcome to read my earlier posts and see how fair I am with my indian brothers and sisters, ask Marathapride, also read the forums carefully, read the last two pages of this thread, and then you will get the answer of your question. Please Please Please, learn to
read in to situations, if you still don't get it, then come back and ask me the same question. I promise I will give you the answer. No offense Bro.
