Sarfraz hesitated because he wasn't aware of that fielder - I am sure at last moment he saw the fielder at his eye corner & got surprised. In these type of singles,had Kohli or Raina been there, we would have heard the call (run/single/bhag.......) without microphone - I am not sure Haris's cheek heard his own call. In tight singles, the golden rule in misunderstanding is to run & make sure that fielding side needs a direct hit - PAK players could have shaken hands & I think, Sarf was out too, in case of a direct hit. Finally, Indian street cricketers would have tried to cover the throwing line & disrupt the proceedings - Haris was too heavy assed to turn & cover the line.

You can calm situation by rotating strike. Playing dot balls simply puts all team under pressure, and give opposition a chance to regroup and stabilize.

I know the rule, but check the angles.

He was running at the leg side while ball went to short leg - at that position, most cases runner can put his body in throwing line legally. It's not obstruction, rather smart running - had the ball went to silly point or had the runner been running on off-side, he would have required to cross the wicket to block throwing line - that's illegal.

But then, what I am telling, if Grant starts to explain it drawing with chalk & board, half of the PAK players will start moaning mid-way - running between the wicket isn't a core skill like batting or bowling, who cares!!!!!!!

So many posters have been having a go because I found his innings to be selfish and that if Shahzad can't rotate strike against weaker bowling attack then he wnt be getting an easy ride against Australian world class bowling attack either.
