You don’t send openers when you have lost two wickets in the powerplay for a recovery

You need specialist middle order batsman

Guys who are brooded to deal with this situation
 
Saim and Fakhar need to score big today, and build a partnership, its a good chance for them to score.

Why does Rizwan need to know about his existence in order for him to criticize him? Weird thing to say.

Rizwan has been useless for a long time now. I think we’ll see a lot of Rana here :)

Pakistan team isn’t a teenagers club where players get selected and dropped based on how “toxic” they are :)))

Imad has been miles better than several in the team.

Also, you do know Haris is a top order wk batsman. I’m sure you know who is occupying that spot ;)
 
Milne is a class act.

Such a shame he has suffered so many injuries during his career.

Saim and fakhar should be opening . Wrong to play them out of their positions
 
On what grounds Haris was dropped? If he is not injured, then this team deserves to be punished for this decision.

But, you previously called out Rizwan for being "useless for a long time now" while he recently was the top scorer of that same tournament.

Looks like we don't judge every player in the same manner.🙂
 
Muhammad Harris and Ihsanullah should have been in the playing XI.

Iftikar should not be in the squad at all and Zaman should be back up for Ishanullah.
 
What did Shan Masood do wrong to get dropped from No.3 position?

He scored a 50 at the MCG in the final last time he played at 3

But Rizwan had been playing for Pak during that time, so why would I rate his performance based on a domestic tournament when I have the international stats to go off of.

I can’t say the same for imad though

I know pitch is good for batting, and i know its not the strongest NZ team, but Saim and Fakhar should open for PAK
 
We are being robbed of exciting opening from fakhar and saim . Babar and riz need to come down please !
 
Shadab at 5 and Iftikhar at 6 is an absolute joke. Needed Haris in there and another proper batsman.
 
As I have said several times, if there is one player between Babar and Rizwan who has to go to make way for Haris or Saim, it has to be Rizwan.

These two young guys are too good to be kept out for too long.

No matter how good Rizwan has been over the last 2 years, he is naturally not as gifted as Babar and never was on his level even after scoring more runs than him in recent years, which is visible in the struggling way he scores his runs, compared to Babar who looks at ease 9 out of 10 times.

Why are sky sports not showing the game? It says they are supposed to show the match..

Rizwan was poor in the WC.

He was the best we had in the 2 years before the WC.

Yeah Brilliant SR of 132 in the Powerplay in his career. That comes to less than 8 RPO in the powerplay. If he plays 20 balls, he's scoring an average of 26 runs. Amazing isn't it.

Now please go and change the goalposts for him.

Isn’t that higher than both Babar’s and Rizwan’s?
 
Saim has carried us to a 100 in 11 overs despite the failures of Rizwan, Babar and Fakhar.

Fakhar has massively under-achieved in this format, given his "agressive" and big-hitting image.

Still doesn't change the fact that he was the best for 2 years.

They both were poor in both tournaments which was an unexpected surprise, and goes against them, even if they did have a stellar WC in 2021.
