Boult is unproven in the SC, but they hardly bowled because they got very little through the air.
 
Latham is looking more assured out there. He needs to push on, the tail can be relied on to support him.
 
NZ are not good enough to bat out the day with their shoddy techniques. Australia was a little better in this regard, wherein Warner took the attack to the bowlers and ruffled a few feathers in the Pakistan camp.

Hoping this awful team improves. Its not been fun watching such a massive struggle

Urge fellows PP'ers to cut the kiwis some slack just their first game, and these are the same pitches where we have folded pretty miserably in the past as well.

They are going to get out anyways, why not put the bowler indy pressure by attacking and giving him something to think about rather than allowing them to settle in a rhythm?

NZ employing reverse strategy compared to Aussies, Aussies wanted to do Bang Bang, NZ want to do tuk-tuk

They need to find middle ground to be successful, If McCullum is opening he should to try to emulate what Warner did for Aussies

Uh you were talking up a NZ win as if it was a sure thing ... your team has won in total THREE Test series in Asia/UAE throughout their entire history, two of them against Bangladesh! Not sure why you were confident at all?

It should get easier with the older ball, play yourselves and look to just bat time.

Because you hadn't won a series in years and your two kingpins looked a spent force. Ajmal had been banned as well.

Hardly basing my opinion on one post.

You quickly accused me of gloating based on not much however you were constantly putting down Pakistan players before the series.

I am not deluded and have not for a second believed this team has transformed in to a world beater however I am loving the current performance by Pakistan (which you pretty much said was impossible before Aus series)
 
That would be daunting, having that many fielders around the batsmen and the ball turning ever so slightly.

Need to watch the one that pitches into the rough as well.

Do you think Misbah would of had that many fieldsman around the bat if he had 500 runs to play with?

Ideally MCCullum should play Warner like Role..

Williamson should try to emulate Smith

And Taylor should play his natural game vs spin

Latham, Watling, Neesham etc. can play defensive game or according to situation

I agree, Pakistan have batted superbly - it's something they haven't done in god knows how long. You can't really praise a team when they have nothing to praise them about - I mean losing 2 Tests on roads in SL for a SC has to be one of the lowest of lows.

Taylor is suspect against SLA, wouldn't hurt I guess. I would be tempted to move him down the order tbh.
 
Again not sure why you keep bringing up the SL series; they are not an easy team to beat at home. And again if you'd bothered to watch those Tests you'd know we lost it on the basis of one poor session in each game; I hated how Deano kept saying we got mullered in SL when it was just not true.

Because they have no bowlers other than Herath, even their best pacer was missing.

Pakistan was blasted due to them performances however except for a few Pakistan trolls on here (you know who they are) the fans excitement since Aus series is justified all things considered ie Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe etc.

Anyway at the end of the day you were happily dishing it out before series it is only fair when it works both ways don't you think :Misbah

Need I remind you that Herath took 20 wickets in 2 Tests against you guys last time you went to SL? Who is this best pacer you speak of?

Nz and aus do not have herath. I am pretty sure if we play sl tomorrow herath will take a 5fer

Think Hafeez has changed his action a bit hence some of his deliveries have slipped out. Was watching 2011 WC highlights yesterday, Hafeez's pause was much longer and his action looked quite poor.

You were the one who was hyping NZ not the other way around and considering the record between the two teams and where we were playing the responses you got is what any fan of an opposing team would have told you.

Maybe you need to rewind and have a look at yourself and you're conduct before you accuse all of us of gloating and arrogance.

Every fan of every team should believe they have a chance, just some have a better and more realistic way of showing it.
 
Really curious as to why Yasir bowls less than the other bowlers. Anderson has no clue against him.
 
Sarfraz is a rubbish wicket-keeper. People are simply blinded his batting.

We lost; did not get battered. Big difference. NZ looks to have an awful bowling attack and a worse batting line-up. They've lost every session of this test thus far. More importantly, from a viewer's POV, they have been pathetic to watch and my main gripe is that this bunch of sorry cricketers is not even competing
 
Latham and Corey looking comfortable. We need to get them out as quickly as possible.

Looked pretty flat in the last 10-15 minutes.
