As long as he doesn't try and sweep, he looks good just playing straight.

I would say that the wicket is so damn good for batting yet Butt and latiff managed to stangle the pakistan innings...

i'm thinking maybe we should send our A team to WC20. oddly "they" seem to be more "hungry" for success and are delivering.

i like how you said that.... it was more butt and latif who strangled our own innings rather than the pitch/opposition. (opposition was good but not necessarily the best in the world).

i'm afraid they'll do the same in the wc and strangle our own team. :pissed: :pissed:

dare I say it, but Hafeez's technique looks far better then some of the tried and tested failures...Do you agree?
 
Sohail is in a realtionship with Hafeez, i think they are hiding something

If he would have cement his place in the side, there was a strong possibility that he could have become a captain of the team. He does have a good head on the shoulders, which is a unique feature in Pakistan cricket at the moment.

He looks to have improved and comparing him to the other rubbish Pakistan produces at the top is futile, by world standards he is still average. I'd rather have a Nazir/Akmal or Hasan/Akmal pairing in the PP overs.

Sure but then how do people like butt, farhat, manzoor and latiff keep getting continuously picked over a player who can hold a bat, bowl superbly and is one of the better fielders in Pakistan???

by the way you mentioned the pp overs, however Hafeez hasnt even played a shot in anger as yet and thats because he hasnt had the need too which also shows the bloke has brains which is sadly lacking in players like farhat and nazir

Well he's certainly better than those two but thee two openers more suited to T20s are the ones I've mentioned. Hafeez can contribute with the ball so I suppose its fair enough that he's been picked on merit but in terms of techniques, there are still several chinks and I'm not expecting him to replicate this form at the top level. Time will tell.
 
Fawad drops the free hit, looks like its just not Pakistan's day.
 
did you guys see the simple runout missed by Gul!!!! He was ball watching. I would drop him from the national side just for this. HOW ON EARTH CAN WE AFFORD TO DO THAT if we are playing against any intl side!!!

The problem is that iButt doesn't know the ABC of Cricket. I think a meeting with Mohsin Khan will be better (Mohsin it seems understands the philosophy of Shahzaib).

Imo some batsmen mature later in their career. Lets hope for Hafeez's success because I think the bloke plays for his team and could be a great asset for Pakistan in all three forms of the game!
 
shahid afridi bowling kay liyay available nahin!!! will fawad bowl 4 overs? i guess he wont need to at this rate
