Reserve players must get a chance even with the series on the line.

Pakistan must play guys like Yamin, amad butt, zahid mehmood and hasnain tomorrow even with the series on the line.
Its important to test these guys out and settle on a combination. New players won't weaken the side, might even do better as he current 11 isn't settled and is far from the best set of players.

With the series levelled at 1-1, what changes do Pakistan need to make to ensure they win the series decider tomorrow?

Told it last time.
Please get rid of talat, such a poor player with no intent.

Again what is his role?

You have to get Danish Aziz in. With bat and ball, he is superior to Khushdil and Ifti chacha

This is the first series decider under the current management. Lets see how they handle this.

The lineup should be
Babar
Rizwan
Hussain talat
Haider ali
Danish aziz
Asif ali
Faheem
Nawaz
Shaheen
Qadir
Hasnain

None are 2020 players danish wnt do much either but he cant do worse..there has to be changes

Expect Talat, Rauf, maybe Nawaz also to be dropped.

Khushdil, Iftikhar will keep their place.

Plenty of bowling options with Hasan and Hasnain available to replace the disastrous Rauf, not so easy to see who will come in to replace the batsmen. Asif Ali is the main candidate and he's a proven flop. Could come in for Ifti maybe and give Khushdil and Talat one last chance to show something, although don't think Khushdil will ever shine at this level, he looks too nervous.

Lol, the so called "best team selection" doesn't appear to be the best anymore. Those calling for a 3-0 whitewash of SAF did not realize how fake our team players are.

Without Imad, Shadab, and Hafeez, we have lost to another B team.

All the brilliant youngstas have failed.

Accept the reality that these overhyped youngsters won't win you games.

Looking at the bench, the last option we have is to change things up by a fair margin:

The squad has too many all-rounders, not enough batsmen. Foolish to leave out Sharjeel and Azam Khan, even one of them could have been tested in this situation. No Malik either.

Those fans who claim that our youngstas are so good, where are you hiding now? If people cannot see that Malik and Hafeez are required in T20s to at least have a chance at winning the World Cup, we'll get humiliated in that tournament.

If Babar doesn't fire, expect to lose the last game convincingly.

Going into the future, the team should look like:

Babar Azam
Mohammad Rizwan
(Hard hitting batsman from the PSL)
Mohammad Hafeez
Shoaib Malik
(Finishing batsman)
Shadab Khan
Faheem Ashraf
Imad Wasim
Shaheen Shah Afridi
Mohammad Hasnain

You're looking for two finds from the PSL to complete the starting XI, but also players for the bench.

Another way to structure the team is to move Hafeez to 3, Malik to 4, and have two very explosive batsmen at 5 and 6, such as maybe Asif Ali and Azam Khan. Those are just examples, but that is a probable move as well.

Amad is great with the ball but can’t bat to save his life.

FUTURE...malik is the wrong side of 40. he is a relic of the past with a long list of issues and part of the reason this team is in bad shape ( he shouldve gone years earlier ) . why not bring back nasir jamshed and the akmals whilst we're at it ?

stop looking to the past and accept we have to work with the younger players and hope to improve them
this mentality of rating players once they are kicked out of teams is toxic and had led to a merry-go-round of players in pak cricket for too long ruining any potential development of younger players .

My line-up for the 3rd T20I

1. Mohammad Rizwan (WK)
2. Haider Ali
3. Danish Aziz
4. Babar Azam (C)
5. Asif Ali
6. Aamir Yamin
7. Amad Butt
8. Zafar Gohar
9. Hasan Ali
10. Zahid Mehmood
11. Mohammad Hasnain

I would like to see us try playing all the players at our disposal despite the fact we may or could lose. Try all the players to see if they should have played the previous T20I.

Would like either zafar gohar or zahid mehmood to come in for nawaz

And rauf to be replaced either by hasan ali or hasnain ...

Khushdil needs to be replaced i would take aamer yamin over him he can hit cleanly

The only sure fire selections are Shaheen, Faheem, Babar, Usman, and Rizwan. It's open season for the other 6 and just a matter of who management feel like tinkering with.

As it's a series decider i don't think we'll see more than 2 changes, but really we should overhaul all 6 remaining players as none of them have justified selection at all.

Need a real big overhaul, even though the score line reads 1-1 most of the team has been atrocious.

1. Mohammed Rizwan (wk)
2. Babar Azam
3. Haider Ali
4. Danish Aziz
5. Asif Ali
6. Faheem Ashraf
7. Mohammad Nawaz
8. Hasan Ali
9. Usman Qadir
10. Zahid Mehmood
11. Shaheen Afridi

Misbah and his crew remind me of the KGB politburo coaches from Rocky 4

This is a good lineup. Could be a bit risky if the top order doesn’t fire, but it’s worth a try for tomorrow’s match. It’s clear that we need an extra spinner, and Zahid won’t get a better pitch to debut.

Babar
Haider
Rizwan
Danish Aziz
Asif Ali
Faheem Ashraf
Hasan Ali
Usman Qadir
Zahid Mahmood
Shaheen Shah Afridi
Muhammad Hasnain

With Imad, Shadab, and Hafeez we lost to NZ B team in the 1st T20I in NZ, so not sure what you're talking about.

Babar *
Haider
Rizwan +
Danish
Asif
Faheem
Nawaz
Hasan
Qadir
Shaheen
Hasnain

Talat, Iftikhar, Khushdil and Rauf dropped
Danish, Asif, Hasan and Hasnain in

We will definitely see some changes as we lost the game. I would like to see Gohar instead of Nawaz, Hasan Ali instead of Rauf, and one of the batters on the bench replace Ifitkhar or Khushdil.

With the squad available this would be my playing 11

1. Rizwan
2. Haider
3. Babar
4. Asif
5. Danish
6. Faheem
7. Zafar
8. Amir Yamin
9. Zahid Mehmood
10. Hasan
11. Hasnain

Will not be happy if Khushdil, Iftikhar, and Nawaz play tomorrow. Nawaz has not bowled too badly but has not looked to be wicket taking bowler. I am sure Zafar or Zahid would do much better job and Nawaz does not add much with batting. Hasnain is also better than Haris.

Id play

Rizwan
Babar
Haider
Talat
Khushdil
Iftikhar
Gohar
Hassan ali
Qadir
Shaheen

I havent made much changes in the batting i will back the batters if they dont perform then they deserve to be dropped from team.if we do drop Iftikhar,Khushdil, talat they will proberly make the next squad based around not getting enough chances.

Rauf has been very poor babar will drop him

With Imad, Shadab, and Hafeez we lost to NZ B team in the 1st T20I in NZ, so not sure what you're talking about.

Williamson joined by the second T20, so it was almost their full strength squad.

Last time I checked Malik and Hafeez were scoring runs.

Babar, Malik, Hafeez, Shadab, Imad, and Shaheen are the 6 players we should be building the team around.

FUTURE...malik is the wrong side of 40. he is a relic of the past with a long list of issues and part of the reason this team is in bad shape ( he shouldve gone years earlier ) . why not bring back nasir jamshed and the akmals whilst we're at it ?

this mentality of rating players once they are kicked out of teams is toxic and had led to a merry-go-round of players in pak cricket for too long ruining any potential development of younger players .

You have to be blind to forget what Malik has achieved in his T20 career. Do you think 10,000 runs is a joke?

Name me one youngster who plays spin better than Malik.

You talk about improving youngsters, well, sorry to burst your bubble but all the youngsters on the team at the moment are either leg-side hacks or have severe limitations either due to a lack of talent, consistency, or temperament.

All the fans talking about backing youngsters don't really understand that the world cup is happening in INDIA. If you think this middle order can bat well in India, you need to seriously wake up.

If there were any options better than Malik, I'd take them. However, all the youngsters on the team who are on the right side of 20 will still be outperformedby Malik regardless of his age.

It would be a waste to leave someone like Malik on the bench when the team is struggling.

You claim to talk about the future. How will this team, which is losing to SAF B team stand a chance in the WC. Your "forward" thinking got exposed by our youngsters' failures to contribute anything noteworthy against a pathetic bowling attack.

There are about 18 T20Is before the WC. The PSL is round the corner. Do you seriously think we can afford to waste time with players who have been given ample chances to show some worth?

In the absence of Malik and Hafeez, if there is any lesson to be taken, it is that none of the overhyped youngsters was able to put away the low quality SAF bowling lineup.

One would be foolish not to use Malik and Hafeez when they are clearly the best candidates for the middle order.

Williamson joined by the second T20, so it was almost their full strength squad.

Last time I checked Malik and Hafeez were scoring runs.

Babar, Malik, Hafeez, Shadab, Imad, and Shaheen are the 6 players we should be building the team around.

In the 1st match, they were missing like 4 or 5 players, including Williamson, Bolt, and Southe. We had Imad, Shadab, and Hafeez and still lost that match. So we did lose to a B team even with the players you mentioned.

1 Mohammad Rizwan
2 Babar Azam
3 Haider Ali
4 Sarfaraz Ahmed
5 Asif Ali
6 Iftikhar Ahmed
7 Fahim Ashraf
8 Hassan Ali
9 Usman Qadir
10 Shaheen Afridi
11 Zahid Mahmood

A 200-run partnership between Babar and Rizwan is what I'm hoping for.

Crappy team combos as usual got us to this point. The management just doesnt get it and keeps confusing the formats:

1. Talat is NOT T20 material, I dont care what he does at other levels ... we have seen enough of him and he should be limited to Tests or ODIs at best.

2. Nawaz is an ordinary bowler and he bats like a tail ender. On top of that, he does not have a power game. And NO NO NO, Zafar Gohar should not be brought in as he is very similar to Nawaz. I would rather have Zafar in Tests and Nawaz in the ODI team if they have to play.

3. Ifti chacha needs to play as an all rounder. If he ain't bowling, he is of no value to the team. He HAS to bowl at least 2 good solid overs for the team.

4. Zahid Mehmood is another one who should NOT be near the T20 team. Keep him for Tests alone.

Danish Aziz should definitely be playing, if he can replicate his cool calm demeanour at the international level, we would have unearthed a gem. Hasnain has to play instead of Rauf, who has to be thrown back to work on his skills. Hasnain has the benefit of height, can move the ball and is as pacy, if not more, as Rauf. If we are able to get our combos right, our core team can look like the following (not for this T20 but for the next year)

1. Babar
2. Rizwan
3. Haider (been disappointed with him so far, but hopefully he would come good)
4. Hafeez
5. Asif / Danish Aziz
6. Shadab
7. Fahim
8. Imad
9. Usman
10. Hasan/Hasnain
11. Shaheen

For today, I would go with the following

1. Babar
2. Rizwan
3. Haider
4. Asif
5. Ifti
6. Danish
7. Fahim
8. Hasan
9. Usman
10. Hasnain
11. Shaheen

Just tell me why in this world we have two anchors as openers when we have Haider to open, and he mostly get out on boundary and that chances can be reduced if he play while the field is up in powerplay and Rizwan make a lot more sense in after powerplay as we have seen he struggle to rotate strike and hit at start of inning when field is up. It's such a straight forward decision but not just one management even posters here having two anchors to open in freaking t20. Then we wonder why we crawl.

Hasnain in for Rauf, Danish in for either Ifti or Khushdil
