Ball is being changed. Pretty shocking stuff from SA. Who was the bowler scratching with his nail, was he Philander?

4.01pm The umpires are calling Graeme Smith, the South African captain, for a little chat about something, but its not quite clear what the issue is. The fourth umpire is out there with a new set of balls. And yes, it looks like the ball has been changed and a five-run penalty has been awarded to Pakisan

Come one saffers this was not needed seriously shameful act.

Now this defeat won't hurt too much, knowing how the Saffers had to cheat to beat an honest bunch like us.

30.0
Steyn to Younis Khan, no run, good stop by Petersen at gully. It was a full length ball, but there is no swing on offer now, as the batsman steers it square of the wicket on the off side

And suddenly

Disgraceful stuff. Blatantly scratching and after the Ball was changed, reacting as if you've been hard done by.

Does anyone remember in the first innings ball started reversing after just 20 overs. Who knows they might have done something then as well. That reversing ball certainly accounted for Younus and later Junaid.

Pakistan should boycott this match we don't want to play vs the cheats..

Ball not moving an inch now :98: I wonder how they got reverse swing early in the first innings as well. I guess that was their way of learning how to bowl in this match.

Dear no need to act dramatically here. Ball has been changed pretty early and thankfully for us it didn't account for any wicket.

Wow, that was so unlike Younus. Don't know what happened to him. Bad bad dismissal.

Imran Tahir to Younis Khan, OUT, beated in the flight and the turn. This was the googly from Tahir and he is off on his run, arms stretched wide. Younis charged him and looked for a rank slog over midwicket, but the ball snuck between bat and pad, turned in, struck him on his thigh and went on to hit the stumps

That's not the point, though. No 1 team in the world don't need to resort to such tactics. Can you honestly tell me that there wouldn't have been a huge outcry if it was Pakistan getting caught doing this?

Exactly.

If that were the case, then when 3 cricketers got caught for match fixing in the recent past during ongoing match, did you see the oppostion taking a stance and walking away....I am just saying

If you cant remember here is a clue to refresh your memory

well, what makes you there will not be a huge outcry in this case ?
The concept of running away from the field is pretty stupid imo .

Pretty sure those running away comments were jokes

Innings loss coming, I just hope we can crawl to 300 or so to minimize the scale of defeat.

Waqar really smooth when being pushed by fellow commie on tampering :)

still 17 overs left in the day .

Misbah has really been troubled by Tahir's googly, he hasnt picked even one

He plays this shot against spinners in tests even. Just missed it.

welcome sir.
He does but the way he swung his bat showed he was desperate out there. When he dances down occasionally, he tries to go straight, very rarely does he swing over mid wicket especially against left arm spinner/leg spinner. Even though it was the wrong one but clearly he didn't pick it and went through with the swing.

Was an anomalous stroke. Had high hopes that we would see a YK special.

He charged early, saw it was a wrongun late and tried to adjust .. looked bad because the ball turned but otherwise just an unwise choice of shot.

i am told that lighting system in this stadium is the best in the world .
Vernon on .....

I know shafiq hasn't been doing too well these days but he plays some lovely shots sometimes.

Exactly. He was not to the pitch and could've halted his flourish but him going through with it made it look worse.

KP and Waqar back. Lets see what else he has to say...calling it a little bit of controversy :afridi

Asad is such a jackass. He doesnt value his wicket. Threw it away in first inning and trying the same in second.

jackass is the wrong word, what bothers me more is that the entire justification of Asad Shafiq is that he doesnt do that. Just say it as it and hope he improves
