That is exactly what I'm counting on. :afridi
But yeah, if we bowl first again, I think we'll win by 6 wickets. The pitch is gonna deteriorate.

Murali.

Pakistan has put on a great show in the first ODI. The fact Pakistan has not played international cricket in over six months, it is quite a commendable performance. However, there are areas which needs to be fixed but I am sure as we play more cricket we will gain momentum and good form.

Pakistan should field the same team as they did in the 1st ODI. It's good to see Shoaib back in the team and in my opinion a fit and in-form Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi can simply crush any team and that includes India and Australia.

:))) :))) I like your thinking you piece of work, I agree
"Poison" :))) legend

I think our middle order is a bit weak. Yousaf has left a huge gap to fill in I hope we find a solid replacement as soon as possible.

We're going to kill Sri Lanka today, it's in the bones

This team will take Pakistan to WORLD DOMINATION

:))) x 100 at the flaunting of the Haughty Moon here

:afridi

Seriously, I hope Easa hasn't gone to the game today aswell.
There is blood in the air tonight. :afridi

I wish for PAIN. Anyways laters folks. Will be back half an hour into the game. :afridi

I have strong reason to believe that the boiling point of the human tooth will be met today.

About half an hour to go now ... hopefully we can keep our winning streak going and blow SL out of this game again. Expecting Afridi and Tanvir to have an improved performance with the ball, and I expect Younis and Misbah to score big tonight!

What's the longest winning streak and longest winning streak for Pakistan? I know for Pakistan it was under Malik's captaincy when we were constantly playing Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. We might be able to achieve it this time as well, since we have 3 wins from WI, if we washout SL and then BD!

We've won the toss and are FIELDING! BOOO!!!!!!!

Fielding first. Hmmm, may just be tempted to leave work early and catch some of the batting.

do it :afridi

Boring.

Thrill was needed. Pakistan should have batted first to see how capable their batting really is.

Unchanged team is also boring.

Akhtar to Dilshan, no run, another peach from Akhtar as he has Dilshan playing all over it, beaten comprehensively, little bit of swing there and that was totally unplayable

who said he is finished

TVN is much better today

freehit for four just then

who heard waqar's commentary before - "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Some beautiful deliveries by Shoaib, apart from the no ball hes looked good!

That could be out! not given.. great first over

yes that made me laugh.. what are you DOING? :younis

Shoaibs last delivery to dilshan was plumb lbw, asad rauf didnt give it.

Meanwhile another no ball by Tanno...

Another no-ball from Tanvir. This is ridiculous for a guy who barely has pace.

Yes bat first and put up a good score. Instead they are bowling No-balls and giving away easy runs huh!

another no-ball!!
lack of discipline..

dilshan should have been given out...plumb in front in shoaibs first over

commentators raised a good point

sohail's foot isn't on the ground when ball is released, so technically, is it a no-ball when he lands it?

2.2 Shoaib Akhtar to Jayasuriya, FOUR, full outside off and begging to be hit, Jayasuriya plants his foot forward and lofts it over extra cover for an easy boundary

What is the point of bowling outside off to Jayasuriya ??

(ii) the bowler's front foot must land with some part of the foot, whether grounded or raised, behind the popping crease.

Says nothing about the release of the ball at all.

^cool thanks.

Shoaib is giving both batsmen too much width.

17 off it...

Geez...cop that! (although one of the fours was an edge)

Tanno is so one dimensional its not even funny...he's probably the slowest opening bowler in Pak history...

After that over, malik taking advice from Shahid, Younis and Misbah

lol...got enough people there? who's running the show again?

At the end of the last over, Malik, Afridi, Younis and Misbah all got together for a chat.

Good to see.

Morning guys. I didn't see yesterdays game but I tried using OOXTV today. It insisted on a subscription so I tried justin.tv and am watching it on there now. The quality isn't crystal and it does occasionally buffer but it ain't too bad. The audio seems good so far too.

Shoaib just good spanked for 4 fours in an over but hey you can't blame the stream for that.

For those that have TVN, how does it compare for quality with justin.tv?

Why can't Pak openers do this?

Dilshan has been given a role i suppose. He is not a regular opener. Jayasuriya.. well he is Jayasuriya. No surprise there about his stroke play.

Ball has lost its swing. Dilshan gets lot of time to play his shots.

At tanno's speed... dilshan's grandma has plenty of time to play...

Akhtar's first over was pretty damn good though. Troubled dilshan twice, and should have had him out lbw but wasn't given.
