these guys are batting like they expect to carry the bat home. which is unlikely so they should do their bit and take a few risks if they do get out we have other seniors to take up the job .

for soemone who's played as many games as him, you woudn't expect him to struggle like a Sifarshi on international stage.
 
Powell to Salman Butt, 1 run, full on the off, Butt drops it down short of extra cover for a quick single. Had that fielder hit the stumps direct, Butt would have been well short of his ground. His luck (and Pakistan's bad luck) continues.

He might also be out for 0 in the first over. But i can't defend but on this sort of performance, he's usually better.

Butts slow innings can't be blamed on rustiness. This is a typical Butt innings against any slightly decent bowling on any decent pitch which isn't ultra flat. His slow strike rate isn't down to just boundary hitting inability but also rotating the strike is his main downfall.

Now I am seriously thinking that Butt MOFO always bat like this whenever a new player is debuting with him as an opener so that he can put an extra pressure on a new comer and he will get away with it after talking some nice English Fancy words.
Why can't he bat like this in Test Cricket.

He is not crap, but he is clever to put pressure on new comer batsman instead. He should be attacking rather than rely on new comer batsman and waste too many overs already! Pakistan is now need to accumulate the run rate

its equivalent to chasing 140 in a twnety20 match. but this is harder because it needs to be sustained for a longer amount of time so this is like a 170 score chasing in twenty20.
 
87/1 20 overs ... run rate required is not a problem as long as we ave wickets in hand
