What's new

Pakistan v West Indies | 1st Test (D/N) | Dubai (DSC) | Oct 13-17, 2016 | Day 3

I don't understand don't they know it's a dam slow dead wicket?

Why are the standing far behind? Not the fist time it died on slip fielder.

Just tuned in to see Amir bowl a beautiful test over. Testing indeed.. Great areas, good control..inducing two edges, Not bad!

Read my post again.

Yes they can swing the ball in one direction but not in the other direction.

And you read mine again sir. Sohail has been doing it, both in and out swingers. Amir had done it too. Even Waqar has also mentioned it minutes ago.

It does get frustrating and boring when wickets don't fall regularly but this is Test Cricket, tomorrow it could be that 5 wickets fall in the first session.

He can swing it into the right handers but he hasn't swung it away (note, the ball straightening after pitching is not swing).

I watched the game yesterday and today. Amir only swung it one way yesterday, but I saw him swing it both ways in the first session today.

No they haven't, I have watched both the opening spells of each respective new balls and the two have only swung it one way.

I saw Amir swinging the ball in and making the ball straighten after pitching today, didn't see any away swing to right handers.

Sorry but certainly they did. Today Amir did it in the first spell specially. I was glued to watch him and see how it bowls.

It has become a routine habit for to us complain isn't it :)?

When we were batting yesterday, people were saying the same, and even now.

But it's given in Test games.

Yea I saw that too. And he was bowling seam up. It was clearly swing not seam.

I tuned in to see Kohli feast on placid wickets

Fair to say that the pitches in the Ind vs WI tests were atleast offering something to the bowlers unlike this flat pitch which has really killed the game. Also Blackwood is a hack who either keeps leaving deliveries and only hits boundaries of those balls that are in his arc.Quite a unique character.

Pretty sure he straightened the ball after pitching (to RHB), that's not swing but seam movement.

Anyway, not point in going in circles over this.

Bhai me and others have seen it, that's why we're bringing it up. I'm certain you haven't watched it.

And even with this new ball, in first over, Sohail did it too.

Too many fickle fans on here.

I guarantee to you if we don't get a wicket or two in this session than we will see several wrist slitting threads.

True but it's a shame, because you need patience with Test cricket, particularly in first 2-3 days. But I hear you.

I have watched it.

Swing is when the ball moves in the air not after pitching, Sohail moved it into the right handers.

Okay, but just check Cricinfo's commentary. Even their commentator was stunned to see Amir bring it into the left-hander.

Expected reply from you. If you have watched last 2 series of WI against us and England you would understand why I said Blackwood is an aggressive player. You carry on with your anti Indian rants.

 No need to take it so personally yeah Kohli is the best thing since sliced bread am I pro Indian now? I merely suggested that in a format which requires great application it's not of great surprise that blackwood is trying to make an effort to spend time at the wicket. Besides, Indian bowlers rarely bring out the best in you; they tend to demand a beating

It's pointless to play day night in UAE as there is no crowd regardless. We will end up losing important points now as the wicket has nothing in it

Sohail Khan bowling bouncers 2-3 times an over as if he's a fast bowler.

Why Yasir Misbah? Amir was swinging it. If you're gonna change bowlers, then bring Wahab. Yasir is tired too. Just got smacked for four by Bravo.

Come Dinner time on day 5 and WI are batting in their second innings with still 5 wickets left, I'll agree with you.

What's annoying is, something happens in 1 second out of 3600 in an hour and the damn adverts kill the replay's

and that is why you need Wahab in your team!! it is extremely hard to bounce out batsmen on these wickets . . Take a Bow! Massive effort . .

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DAMN ADVERTISEMENTS!!

Sigh

like this attacking field

dont let up

who was saying Yasir is not getting spin?

this Paul reiffel has been terrible

useless and unwarranted warning now

and missed like a dozen Windies no balls. Some of them were atleast a foot over no joke

I think he is tired now.

Could be, previously it was Zulfi doing the long spells with Yasir as the strike bowler. Now, with Nawaz not being given many overs, it's Yasir that has to do the long rounds.
