What's new

Pakistan v West Indies | 1st Test (D/N) | Dubai (DSC) | Oct 13-17, 2016 | Day 3

Actually it always bound to happen if you away your eyes away from the ball. Bravo has done it too.

We rely too much on Yasir. Everyone has a bad day at the office. Just because so far he's been able to knock a 4-fer or a 5-fer almost every innings, doesn't mean he'll keep on doing it every match. The greatest of bowlers had bad days, bad matches and bad patches.

How times change. Pakistan trying to intimidate West Indies with short pitched bowl.

Dowrich now looking more fluent.

this Paul reiffel has been terrible

useless and unwarranted warning now

and missed like a dozen Windies no balls. Some of them were atleast a foot over no joke

Several of Wahab's no balls were missed too.

What pace was Yasir bowling at? He seems to bowl too fast in flat conditions when he should be bowling it slower and turning it more.

Bowling apart from Wahab has been lacklustre most of the time, just running in and landing the ball.

They should try bowling a bit shorter at a good/short of good length and turn it slightly to get that nick, perhaps. Maybe that could help.

Amir might be replaced in next game has looked the worst among seamers especially if we play zulfi

Boundary in every over, not helping the cause.

The pressure Wahab created has been released.

Amir seems to have lost his spark it seems. Maybe they should hire Wasim or Aaqib for a few sessions to help fix up his release and other issues.

Big moment, Nawaz has his first Test wicket.

Placid track or not, WI's batting doesn't seem to look particularly bad.

I'd like to see West Indies bring in someone like Vishaul Singh who just hit 161 vs Sri Lanka A and has a decent FC record to replace the hit and miss Blackwood.

Its the bowling however that's as effective as a chocolate teapot. Its not an attack that'll take 20 wickets even in more favourable bowling conditions.

Hopefully Alzarri can develop and they find another quality new ball bowler. I think Gabriel's fitness will always be a problem. Also a quality spinner to replace Bishoo who's regressed. Then you possibly have the makings of a decent team.

Their pace attack isn't bad at all. These are the flattest condition any bowler will ever face. Holder though, does not merit a spot. He's holding them back. Not much of a captain either.
