Nothing will change. Misbah will still be in team selection for the match. If players follow his instruction they will lose matches.

Obviously the new selector won't sit idle. Depending on who is selected, some improvement can be expected. Granted it would be much better if Misbah is removed from both the roles since his influence is not proving to be any good to the team. But even one role could be a start.

Fakhar despite his shortcomings had a good ODI record and did well in last ODI series as well as was the highest scorer of national T20 cup. So if they were going full strength he should have played. Replacing 30 years old opener to test 33 year old opener (Who doesnt even have an impressive List A SR) is just bonkers unless I am missing some bigger masterplan.

Agreed. There a reason why I call misbah a clown. There are tons of better options then abid Ali for opening spot. I am not even counting the current players in the squad.

That's true but the problem is that even the 15 probables have questionable selections. That can perhaps be remedied but it is true that Misbah will probably select the oldest and the most useless among them in the final 11 and Babar can not over power him. No one can perhaps.
