In one of the matches Ireland were smashing these afghan bowlers and Pak have no clue lol.

And there were posters here saying Pakistan will demolish Afghan bowlers.

Ireland and Afghanistan play each other literally day in day out they know each other very well now pakistan barely has played this team only one international game

Stats is a bit risky thing to discuss for every platform .... I would rather request you to go through the 4th innings of 4 match threads here in PP of 4 Test matches - all in UAE, all payed by PAK ... 1 against SRL, 2 against Kiwis & 1 against Aussies (who are supposed to be spin bunny). Or may be the Asia Cup game between PAK- Hong Kong.....
 
What kind of a minefield is this lol ball turning squarw.
 
One of worst World cup squad we ever played with no world class bowler except 1 decent batsman.

Seems like a day 3 test pitch in India

Definitely not the kind of pitch we are going to see at world cup
 
Shadab, Imad, Hafeez and Malik should really run through the Afg batting line up on this pitch. Really no excuses here.
 
I like the passion of these afghans though showed up in big numbers talking about the fans
 
Mickey arthur and inzamam have totally failed , they have not given chances to any real spinners and now pakistans suffering.

Malik 4 off 17. I realize its a difficult wicket and Pak needs a partnership but still he can rotate better
 
Kinda refreshing to see an old school innings for a change where the batting side has to graft it out to a 250 odd score...
 
Afghanistan spinners are going to trouble many teams in the World cup if there is anything for the spinners

Malik is supposedly one of the better players of spin around. He might be playing badly but still you can see the bowl spinning quite a lot with naked eye.
 
i like this wicket..soo much better than the england series..but fast bowlers arent getting much..
 
Say all you want, but I firmly believe that Babar is second best Asian batsman across formats. And I'm an Indian.
 
A lot of Indians would agree with me no teams play spin well now honestly india is as bad as Pakistan look what Zampa did to them even afg tied the game in Asia cup
 
It's a toss between Haris and Malik for the last remaining batting position...and both can bowl too..

It’s turning quite a bit. Malik has many deficiencies but playing spin isn’t one of them
 
Would have loved to see how Eng would have fared on this pitch against these spinners.
 
120KPH pies from this bowler. Nothing special at all. Just bang in good and short slow pies

I have lived in that country for few years and followed cricket since primary school at south London .....

England might turn into Sahara and temperature raising to 58C, but at Glostershire, in a late May day, no English wicket can be like this unless categorically that track is kept out of water for a week at least .... and it looks like they have used heavy roller as well, which usually they don’t do in early summer.

Not saying conspiracy, but this game was taken quite casually by the grounds man/organisers, which needs to be kept in record.
 
Why take off Rashid Khan? Or bowl another spinner


Gulbadin is a poor captain as well

If you take Babar's overall career into consideration, he averages 35 in tests. So how is he better than them? Unless you want to isolate Babar's last year of test cricket and consider that only.
 
we have a dumb legend selector who failed to try ONE new spin talent in last 3 ODI series knowing that middle overs mandate a few. We are probably heading into the WC with most mediocre spin dept barring a few teams..
 
Excellent thing about Babar is irrespective of conditions he can play close to run a ball without taking much risks which shows his talent.
