When in full flow he is one fine player to watch but yeah he does seem to be badly out of touch here.

Anyone else having problems with the commies? I don't hear them, not that im dying to anyways, but just wanted to know if its ary messing up agin big time.
 
I'm really disappointed with the Bangladeshi coach and selectors they are playing Farhad as the second pacer ahead of Rasel and Shahadat. Stupidity at its best. Watch Pakistan score 350 now.

Lahoris are like that. People said exactly the same thing in the Lahore matches during the South Africa series but in the end the crowd built up and was absolutely packed in all the ODIs.

It wont be packed today but it will build up as the day goes on.
 
Dhiman Ghosh? Doesnt usually make many mistakes like his predecessor Mushfiq but how could he drop that?

Plus they've started sticking huge banner ads across the bottom of the screen obscuring the action

Butt had a terrific Patrons trophy tournament, and that is why he is in the team. Give him a break. Infact he is the best opener Pakistan has, however bad he is.

:)) Relax......i'm just messing around.

But it is still irritating watching him in ODIs. He doesn't rotate the strike enough and too often hits good shots straight to fielders.
 
I always thought Bob was wrong to drop Butt but now I can see why he felt Salman wasn't ready. He looks like a rabbit in headlights even against teams like Zimbabwe and Bangladesh!!

I know; it's disappointing.

The build-up coverage that started at 10:45 am seemed decent enough- One hoped that perhaps finally ARY had got their backsides into gear and would deliver us fair quality coverage. Not to be so though- This less than inspirational start from our openers and now no commentary has made this a dull start to the series.

There goes T20 expert Nasir caught behind! Great now we'll have Butt and Younis batting together. 200 off 50 overs if these two can hold onto their wickets!

i know you are, but some of the rest who are really serious are really immature.

I mean Butt is the only semi stable opener that we have, how could we get rid of him and throw in two new boys. The selectors are giving a Nasir a chance, and if he doesn't take it, i am sure Khurram would be next.

the first 30 overs should be all commonsense and straight bat shots imo

bad balls punish them, but mostly singles and hit into gaps- cmonnnnnnnnnn

If we loose a quick couple wickets trying to hit out, the same people would be criticizing the batsmen for failing to reach 250 against Bangladesh.

Who wants to watch some traitors with empty stadium in a small town like Chandigarh? Lets watch the patriotic players selected by patriotic selectors (who were selected by patriotic DNA who was selected by patriotic Mushraf)...... in Qaddafi Stadium that is GOING to filled to capacity in a little while - as I am told!

Yes you're right but i guess it's just that some of us are still in T20 mode thanks to ICL.
 
Butt is struggling a bit here but the most important thing is to not lose his wicket. Lets hope he doesn't panic.
 
tru passionate - dont u think this is our OVERALL problem.. ie u must have seen INDIA do the same in the 1st and 2nd test... but it worked in 1st test.. but major failure in the 2nd

going after the ball - rather than the ball comin to the batsmen? ie. fishing outside off

Thats probably a reason why we never get a SOLID opener.. all our batsmen want to have the INNER-BEAST in them and play bigg exciteing cricket INSTEAD of boring but much needed, Geoffrey Boycott style??
