Pakistan vs New Zealand | 2nd ODI | Abu Dhabi | Nov 9, 2018 | New Zealand Innings

LOL . Doom and Gloom comments start pouring in even when we are on top, even if it is for part of the game but let us enjoy the period.
Anyway back to commentary. Another Fake All rounder Hafiz doing the job after Fake Fahim. Hoping for another good performance for Sham Shadab

look this is a bakwaas team so we should all just give up..cant even make 50..everythings a fluke..

Seems like a good toss to lose, batting seems quite difficult at the moment.

Sarfraz was lucky to not win the toss otherwise he would have blindly opted to bat first.

Yeah we get it, you know more than an accomplished international cricket captain like Kane Williamson.

Such a terrible wicket, slow and low...
Irony is if they cross 210/220, Pakistan batting loaded with seniors, so called champions of UAE, will struggle to cross the line...what is the point of wasting time in desert??

Pakistani cricket is ruined by UAE, so useless

Just because you are a professional doesn’t you mean you cannot make mistakes. New Zealand knows that 250 is enough to defend against Pakistan 9/10 times, and they backed themselves to get there.

However, it does not look like happening based on how the game has panned out, unless Taylor bats through the innings.

I also love how extremely selective this “you know more than XYZ” statement is.

I would take your point if you are prepared to withdraw all your posts questioning and criticizing the team management’s decisions, because clearly you do not know more than Sarfraz and Mickey.

I do not see Pakistan winning this match. The batting lineup is too weak.

Imam- Minnow legend
Fakhar - Past his sell-by date.
Hafeez - Reputable batsman who can perform well against good teams
Malik - A decent batsmen and the best batsman in the team along with Hafeez
Babar - A reincarnation of Misbah. Belongs to the early 1990s. Too slow for ODI cricket.
Sarfraz- Cannot be trusted one bit with the bat. A hit and miss player.
Faheem - A bits and pieces player. A club-level cricketer
Shadab - A tailender

Agree fully with Doul. Imad's innings was uselss in last match. While Sarfraz was going for the win it seemed like Imad was more interested in his 50. Cost Sarfraz his wicket too with his slow batting.

No bro. It was a good decision to bat first. Its Pakistan bowling that make you think like this.
Batting second will never be easy on a used pitch.

Commentators are just as bamboozled about the selection as I am. Haris averaging 57 at a SR for 85 in his last 10 ODI innings, and they still can't find a place for him in this weak batting side. Atrocious selection by Sarfraz and Mickey.

saifi gave his all with whatever capability he had wherealse imad was going nowhere and playing an hopeless innings like misbah use to play .. where we all knew endresult regardless

Seems like Taylor is public enemy number one for us these days. We always find someone, don’t we?

It is mind-boggling how sensitive and insecure our folks are. Hafeez is a three time offender and it is understandable if people have a problem with his action.

I personally think that he should have had a quiet word with the umpires instead of mimicking his action, but it’s time to move on.

Get out of this “the whole world is out to get us” mentality. No one is conspiring against Pakistan. Perhaps if you deal with chuckers internally, other teams wouldn’t have to point it out.

The latest narrative is that New Zealand are conspiring to have Hafeez banned before the World Cup, much like how the evil guys conspired to have Ajmal and Hafeez banned before the 2015 World Cup.

I can only laugh.

Even someone with not much cricket sense could see that.

Commentators are right.

Its getting pathetic by coach, captain and batting coach to continue with the same while there is a 50+ avg batsman sitting on bench.

It is called "victim mentality".

Despite supposedly "working" I've been watching this match and it can be safely said that ODI's are the most boring format for Pakistani team.

This is like watching dough rise when you are baking bread, only that's a bit more thrilling when you aren't always sure if the dough will rise properly or not.

New Zealand are much better chasers than Pakistan. They have a better chance of beating Pakistan on a slow wicket batting second then they do batting first.

That can still happen if Taylor bats through the innings, but considering how poor our batting is, we would have posted a below par total here. A 210-220 type target might get them in the groove.

I admit there is a lot of hindsight involved here, and I don’t want to blame Williamson too much because he had a different outcome in mind, but Sarfraz was lucky to lose the toss here.

I would be prepared to withdraw my posts if it would get rid of your constant babbling and whining. But alas, that won't happen so I'm least interested to do as much.

Coming back to the post, KW knows the pitch will get slower and lower as the day progresses. There's no reason why NZ can't reach 250 from here, and if they do KW's decision to bat first is vindicated. He is banking on Boult to provide early breakthrough (which is inevitable) and then put the squeeze on with Sodhi/CDG/maybe Munro.

Desert is neither here or there, Pakistan is worse team in Asia too...We cannot even win in uae...

Desert is as Alien ENV for Pakistan as it is for other. Nobody plays cricket in Thar, Punjab is not desert nor Karachi or KPK... There is no home advantage, we are loosing our home skills as well there...

Home series are so boring, one dimensional and completely irrelevant to real international cricket. It's of no use, I don’t know when we are going to get out of this mess

you should jst choose the last option ie just laugh
that will be better

I would rather have Haris instead of Imad in ODI especially when both can bowl too, Haris being more batsman than bowler.

This is the worst comeback I have seen on this forum in a long time. Simply admitting that you applied that logic conveniently and selectively would have been less embarrassing than insulting your and my intelligence with this sorry attempt at a cop-out.

Anyway, as I said in my previous post, it will be harsh to criticize Williamson too much because he had hoped for better at this stage. He played to the opposition’s weakness which is fair enough, but it is more about Sarfraz losing a good toss in my view.

Labelling it as the worst comeback without having the cojones to make a comeback to that post, makes your attempt the worst comeback doesn't it?

Stick to finding new and interesting ways to degrade Pakistan cricket. That's what you have made a sorry career out of on PP, and actual match analysis are beyond your capabilities. So stick to what you do best and don't try to read into what KW is thinking.

I think shadab should have continued?Imad is useless for odi i will say once again.

Sarfraz needs to stop giving Nicholls easy singles. Frustrate Nicholls into stepping out, or even better, make Taylor force the pace.

Don't think luck is favoring Sarfraz. They are well set to score over 230 from here. And Williamson should be more than happy now.

Two changes required in this odi side and i think every1 would agree.
Haris and Abbas in imad and Hasan.

Abbas is accurate and moves the ball. And with two nee balls he can easily bowl a 6-7 over opening spell.
We lack penetration with new ball

Yar its a 240+ pitch. Its bit slow but not much turn or seam movement. We just need to see off first 5 overs without losing any wickt.

Can see kiwis getting 250 here and another match winning total from current position.

I will be much pleased if imad gets phainta today. He is blocking Harris's way and disturbing team's combination

Imad is mediocrity's definition.

Shoudlnt be a part of one day team honestly.

In t20s batsmen want to go after him to score 7+ an over and lose their wickets in the process. In odis its very easy to score 4-5 singles against him with an odd boundary. Not a wicket taking threat.

We really need to take a wicket. Very boring passage of play at the moment, but if these two stay there till the death we could be chasing 250+

Hasannn!! God that sigh of relief he took after his celebration made me so happy, he must be relieved to get a wicket finally.

A couple of wickets here and NZ should be restricted to below 250. Besides, we have batting right down to #10 this time.

Hafeez better have a big innings today otherwise he'll be out of the team for good.

Oh dear, this gets better. Just when I thought you couldn’t outdo yourself in cringeworthiness, you proved me wrong.

The question is though - why am I even taking note of your posts?

Your “actual match analysis” were thoroughly exposed in the Asia Cup when all your pre-tournament overconfidence and chest-thumping blew in your face.

No indivividual poster was as embarrassed and humiliated during the Asia Cup as you were, but I am glad that you have found your voice back, even though it is worth nothing.

This is an ideal chasing wicket for Pakistan. Should win by 5-6 wickets, unless the team is even worse than I think it is.

A wicket and Hasan is suddenly bowling with zip and getting the ball to tail. Confidence is a wonderful thing...

It is, we needed Ajmal and Amir to get us close exactly 9 years ago.

Won’t be surprised if it is, but we are okay at chasing low totals on slow wickets. In the UAE, the outfield is often quicker under lights and the run scoring is easy which is what we saw regularly in the Asia Cup.

UAE is actually not a bad place to chase totals, it’s just that we are inept to chasing anything above 250.
