I am so hating on Peterson right now, can't believe that we allowed their tail and ABD to score around 180 today.
 
not only SA pacer are miles ahead of us but they are far more smarter. suddenly they have started bowling more in-cutter/dippers as on this wicket bounce can vary and not much swing.

The ball will not do much now. We need to be positive here SA is gonna bat last here
 
This will be a good tour for Azhar to learn from, he has found out a few things, think he'll improve strike rotation after this.
 
using the wrist and pitching up. This is what amir used to do with asif. SA do exactly the same.

Never been so ashamed of Pakistan pace bowling.

Or he will probably forget it as a nightmare , we won't be playing in such conditions for another 3 years.

Did gul learn anything???? steyn knows swing is gone so he is keeping it tight.
 
Yup, blocking is good, but even leaving is ok.

Remember, Morkel seems hurt. That means after 6ish overs, Kallis takes one end, but other end is Peterson. That will be our chance to start scoring. Just need to survive another 6-7 overs.

C'mon AZHAR!!!! This is your time to shine by taking the shine off the ball!!
 
Steyn bowling very well again. These two are basically opening, ball still doing quite a lot both ways.

That explains GUL, who after all these years has not found right length to bowl, pathetic to say the least
 
full attacking stumps.... swing is gone gul who has bowled for ten years could not do it and he was called the freaking YORKER SPECIALIST.

Just woke up and saw the score. How the hell did Peterson score 84 runs with Ajmal running riot?

Pak already lost 2 wickets. Not looking good for Pak.
 
@ ekpakistani - most fast bowlers DO NOT bowl 10 overs on the trot. Only Steyn is crazy enough to do that, lol. Kallis batted down the order cause he got tired from bowling 20 overs.

I suspect about the 12 over mark we will see the changes in bowling. Thats going to decide a lot; whether Morkel can bowl or not.
 
maybe its just me .. but steyn looks tired .. I don't think he will have same energy after 10 overs

no he is thinking.... they are all basically new ball bullies but steyn is proving why he is an ATG... the swing goes he bowls tight... you listening gul?

yes bro .. I understand .. my point was that SA bowlers won't be as effective .. after they have bowled 10 overs
 
tea break.

bowlers seemed to be losing their zip.... rest will do them good but pak will need to come out with same thoughtfulness

Shows he is learning unlike hafeez and gul.... tea happens now .. hope these two make big... azhar made his highest score in this series.
 
bowling wicket to wicket stuff we need to dig in and score around 250 in 2nd innings

Swing is almost gone, all the openers needed was bat couple of overs more. Bring Farhat in for next match, cant do much worse then these jokees.

yunus and azhar towards the end were looking slightly more comfortable as expected. just afre more overs before they can really settle in.

they need to show same concentration after tea.

i wont blame jamsheed that much due to that 46 but he is pushing it... that bowl was not something to get out.. hafeez is not meant for opening in africa period .!!!!1
 
irrespective of the score we get .. it will be extremely important to get early wickets when we bowl .. Gul and Irfan have to take the lead ..
 
azhar also did a good job convincing jamshed not to waste review. jamshed made the signal to review was a bit too late luckily

and jamshed was right to stop hafeez

Actually, I rather have an empty slot than Farhat. He only gets picked cause he has a father-in-law who is high up in PCB ranking. He is a total joke and has had MULTIPLE chances.

I rather give Nasir Jamshed a full tour (and maybe another one) before I give up on him. Plus, at least he can catch (another thing Farhat is terrible at).

if management is keen to play hafeez as opener .. they should get his eyes checked .. I really think the problem is with his eye sight

Actually, it was Jamshed who convinced Hafeez not to waste the review. But yes, good point, both were pretty obviously out. Good to see Pakistanis not just burning & wasting reviews.

I agree with this. I dont mind Hafeez being in the team, but surely he cannot be a TEST opener. Maybe in ODI or 20/20, with a flat pitch, its ok. But for tests, do we really have no better option???? :(

agree .. if dropping either of the current useless opener is to bring another ****** like farhat .. then no thank you ..

what our team should try is bring an opener from previous u-19 .. like sami aslam or ghumman etc ... all are failing .. if they fail .. they fail .. no real difference . but if they succeed there is a good chance to have them for a long long time

try a few guys from u-19 team .. i m sure they will do batter than current lot .. besides we don't need a flat pitch opener .. anyone can bat on a flat pitch ..

How did Morkel get injured? I hope it was an Irfan bouncer to the head.
 
Here we gp. Time for the final session for the day. An ideal session would be one yielding a 100 runs for not more than the loss of a wicket.
