I think he's just tentative. Have a look at his 1st innings 41 against ENG in the 1st test last year. He was leaving the ball very well and then suddenly had a brain fade.

It's not something beyond the reach of a professional sportsman to make amends to his/her technique. Could have had a far more substantial record outside Asia had he presumably worked harder.

No it was the same side... only difference was Fakhar played a long innings... otherwise we would have managed our usual 250-280 odd

I have seen many double standards, but this one truly is amazing - the guy made this squad for his chancy 50 at Oval from 6; now they have brought him back at 4 to feast on SRL, may be next is replacing Imad in NZ as off-spinner and no. 7, while Hari takes the left-arm spin role.

The CT 300+ score was almost entirely due to Fakhar's innings. His fast paced century took the pressure off the other Pakistani batsmen. Also quite poor team selection by India who played Ashwin and Jadeja and dropped Umesh who had figures of 7.4-1-30-3 in the league match against Pakistan.

If you don't have pressure, the spinners can be hit for a lot of runs.
