so who are the batsmen who can trouble us now?

That was Babar's catch..WTH was Shafiq doing
I think Mohammad Abbas has done enough to show that he belongs in the test team. The lack of pace is a disadvantage but he is contributing enough. More than Amir certainly.
He's probably the best catcher in our test team...Shafiq is a totally useless player. Can't bat or catch

'Lack of pace is a disadvantage for Abbas' makes no more sense than 'bad technique is a disadvantage for Steven Smith.' If someone is putting up the numbers they are putting up the numbers. Abbas has been been superb, bowling on the flattest of pitches in the Windies and UAE. Deserves a long run. And to no surprise he was overdue for selection, held back, inter alia, by those strapping pacers Rahat Ali and Wahab Riaz. The ease with which the PCB continues to disregard actual performance continues to do untold damage to Pakistani cricket.
I agree but i still think lack of pace is a bit of a disadvantage. Just imagine him bowling at 140kp or even late 130s. Most certainly would have had more venom. But his bowling style is working for him and he has earned his place.
Just imagine Tendulkar having the blasting power of Viv Richards. Was "lack of muscles" a disadvantage for Sachin? Yes who wouldnt want a bowler as fast as Akthar, as wily as Asif, as relentless as McGrath. But.
Maybe bring Abass back for an over or two..?
