Our bowlers are shockingly bad. This is a good pitch for bowling and you've got quite ordinary batsmen in front of you.

The amount of times he's been hit on the pads and has fished outside off, he's looked quite poor

He was brilliant in WIN as well. PAK plays more Test than Mughabe's ZIM, Alhamdulillah .... hence guy played about 15 Tests in 3 years ..... otherwise, he could have retired now with 150 wickets in 35 Tests, averaging around 23 - that's among very best in history. PCB is forced by ICC to play 5-6 Tests per year, which doesn't help players - more so if players are picked in their late 20s, having born as 5-6 years old.
 
Why is Shaheen Shah Afridi bowling over 140 consistently
He will be exhausted
Should bowl slower
Naseem can be used for short burst

If the stadium was this bad, why did they play here? Couldn’t they have played somewhere else?

Both Waqar and Misbah are failure of coaches. Bring Bradman, Kohli, Ponting, Walsh, Lilee, Akram, Mcgrath we will still loose
 
Good to see Shaheen bringing the ball back into the right handed batsman. Good sign for the future. He has been impressive.
 
Even our bails are rock hard bro lol Shinwari is the best swing bowler in Pakistan he should have been given the first over

If PAK played 2-3 4/5 Tests series every year (average 35 Tests in 3 years cycle), players in good form can cash on that - for example, had that ENG-PAK series been 5 Testers, Abbas could have earned 35 wickets at 19 in one summer. Also, Test cricket itself is a learning school - I can safely say, with this 1-2 Tests mickey mouse tour, Banar won't take his career average over 45.

Not having practice matches for Pakistan tours is a big disadvantage for the visitors. I hope for the next tour, there is a practice match too.
 
Nothing improvement under Waqar. This guy is there for money only.
 
I think, SRL also misread the wicket - they are playing 3 pacers here, with Dilruhan. Every team should play a SLAO spinner against PAK in any format. I believe, Herath was called for the 2012 T20 WC SF against PAK only and he picked couple of crucial wickets........... no wonder, Arthur is their coach now.
 
I am expecting a huge win of Srilanka. After a long wait I was expecting return of Fawad, my favorite batsman. But again peculiar decision from Pak think tank. They have retained out of form Haris, and all time failure Asad. Srilanka should thrash this side.
 
Dam misbah for not picking fawad...
Hope hope his ttfs fail as usual. Unreal the injustice with fawad. Misbah should be removed fif their pacer attack. Joke selections

To be honest when Haris returned from his trauma of “seeing” a jin which perhaps injured him for quite sometime, he didn’t play any domestic cricket and walked straight into the team.
 
Abbas is pathetic. We have better women's fast bowlers. Why do we persist with such embarrassments?
 
We cannot even get a wicket against Sl in 16 overs. Our bowling is so poor

I have seen most of PAK's Tests in last 3 decades - can't recall a better display of absolute pathetic new ball bowling by PAK pacers. In 16 overs, honestly speaking I can't recall 2 balls that could be said unplayable!!!!

They might & should come back with old ball (Otherwise Lankans are going to repeat 589/3d!!!!), but on broader perspectives, I don't think it's helping. If you play 4 pacers and than have to drag the game back from 0 or 1 wicket by lunch may be .... something isn't right there.

Abbas has lost a good 4kph and ever since the Australian test his action, which used to be quite rhythmic, has looked out of sorts. He looked quite bad in the practice videos as well. Why are they playing him?

He's lost at least two yards after that injury in SA. He's bowling at Ganguly pace these days. Misbah is only playing him because of his age.
 
We would have 3 wickets down by now.
Repeat of Australia test. Karunaratne will play like Warner
 
Abbas is only playing because the last time he was dropped, people went nuts

Lol. Anything to support Misbah. You were the one talking about fast bowling stocks being non existent and castigating Mickey for playing only 1 spinner but now that Misbah has discarded spinners altogether you are loving it :srini

Karaunaratne should have been out. The bails not moving at such fast pace is shocking to say the least.
 
That was nasty. All of Naseems short balls have troubled the batsmen so far. Time for some short ball field sets.
 
Why did Naseem start celebrating after that bouncer? :))
