What's new

Pakistan vs World XI | 2nd T20I | Gaddafi Stadium | 13 Sep, 2017 | Pakistan Innings

Despite those two boundaries Shezzy sahab is 10 off 12

It might be a unpopular opinion on this forum but I think Shehzad can be a decent player in ODIs and test if he can improve his footwork and strike rotation.

In t20s , I would prefer to give someone else a go.

enough time been given for this.. time to move on

T20 is the worst format to play Shehzad. I would bring in Sahibzada Farhan instead.

Yeah he can if he does but it has been years since he has been playing pro cricket not sure if the adjustments will be made now

Yes because of his poor attitude early in his career it will be difficult to make such adjustments now.

Is shehzad trying to prove that he can rotate strike? by nudging singles in PP of a T20 ..SMH

Ahmed Shehzad has definitely improved his strike rotation. He is able to now tap the ball into gaps and take those quick singles early now. He has to find that boundary hitting ability back in order to play T20. I think he can be good in ODIs with this new ability to rotate strike. He was always a decent Test player.

Bhai Badree ko hatao... he is confirming Shehzad's selection for the next two years

thats what I was afraid of... Badree is way too experienced trapped him. Fakhar needs to learn.. good knock by him but these are the things coach and management needs to work on.

The attitude now has improved still but I just think that it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks given that shehzad been batting same way for a while, not impossible but think its unlikely

It was an ugly swipe across the line because he was frustrated with the dot balls and lack of runs from the other end. Could happen to the best of them.

The more Zaman plays the more team will figure him out. Tbh he is just a hack always trying to hack across the line.

RR was still over 9.No one can defend that ugly hoick

His biggest problem isn't technique - extremely selfish player, who has learned his tricks from Misbah era or maintaining a decent stats through "respectable" defeats. Every young player from that era got filtered out one by one - Umar, Jamshed, Maqsood .... this guy could figure out what was required to dodge the chopping block.

Dont care if he is a hack as long as he scores runs and helps team don't mind. Same reason we ruined Fawad Alam because he has ugly stance, lad scores runs dont matter how.

Ahmed Shehzad is incredibly poor. No way he deserves to play for Pakistan

Whenever Shehzad is playing T20s he becomes a decent player in Tests and ODIs

And when he's playing ODIs he bricked a good players in t20s and tests

When he's playing tests he is a good limited overs format player

:)) Pak fans are hilarious with the criticism directed at Fakhar, owning India and playing gem after gem in the CT didn't get him a long rope from fans it seems. Bring back Imran Farhat yo!

Partially Shahzad has been brought in because of Sherjeel is no longer available for selection.

He isn't improving his game every month like Sharjeel was though but let's hope for the best

In other matches there wasn't even one proper cricketing shot and his sixes were off miscues

Again go back and review the innings and scorecards. If there "wasn't even on proper cricketing shot" then you don't know anything about cricket.

Shehzad playing a good ODI innings. Bobby giving him good company in doing so.

No it won't.

You can keep supporting and forgiving Shehzad who Arthur keeps on playing

Slow start.

Take some risks boys there is plenty of batting.

If a wicket falls now you should bring in Sarfraz.

Shehzad is playing a selfish innings again, if Babar does not accelerate like last match then these two could ensure we don't cross 175

Babar not cut for t20. I still thinks he should stick to only ODIs and tests

His FC & List A scores are far better than hack - may be unconventional, but effective. Most English & Indian batsmen learn batting from proper coaching following MCC Manuel - high elbow, steady head, toe in line, side ways stance....... , but the Aussies & West Indians were far more effective, so were PAK batsmen, when they developed the mental aspect of batting in Counties - unconventional, but put in a tight street fight, there was none better than Javed.

Someone coming from outer world will start thinking that Steve Smith is there for his leg spin - key for batting is balance & foot, hand, eye position at the point of contact; doesn't matter if it looks cramped.

4 runs of Collingwood's over

:salute

Collingwood has always been crazily fit, still plays county cricket for Durham and performs at a good level.

Think he toured Pakistan with England in 2005.

Bobby sahab 4(9)... not a single post of criticism yet.

:salute :salute :salute

Ramiz has the ICC security chief on air and he isn't asking him anything of substance

he just keeps babling his own thoughts / opinions

He's not international level anymore. Well tbf even in his heyday he wasn't a period 10 over bowler

But perhaps at Thishara level

When Sharjeel first came onto the scene he didn't last long, he was gone and then he returned under the current set up where he began to improve as you say. Fakhar on the other hand has his flaws but despite that came into the team and helped his country win the CT, there are flaws but he is hardly a hack and one of the mentally strongest blokes I have ever seen play for pak in recent times amongst the top order. This is a T20 as well, people need to tone down their criticisms given what he has displayed in the recent past, I'd take him as he stands over any opener in pak. But with more experience hopefully he will get even better but folk need to put things into perspective :mv
