And here we go. MOM = Shoaib Malik, 100 plus a wicket of Masakadza...

Got thrashed in Bang LOIs and then the Super 8 T20 cup too. Currently not good enough. But too many injuries for the pacers so all these guys get a chance to show what they have.

Well our fast bowling stocks will become a lot stronger when Junaid, Irfan, Sohail Khan and Aamir come back.

Pakistan's bowling has looked impotent here. Granted its a flat deck but still has been quite an ordinary performance.

I'm dipping in and out of this game. But I do not like the formulaic captaincy. Why is Azhar worried about bowling wahab 3 overs in powerplay and 3 at the death. There should b no death here, as wahab should have been bowling a few overs ago

I was being metaphorical, and no I was raised in England. Never played cricket in Pak.

I've played and that's why, I was talking from experience dude. It's not wise to bend your back on such a track.

who did he drop? was it masakazda; shoaib made up for it won't be too costly now if it was him

Chigumbura, last ball of 32nd over.

31.6 Mohammad Hafeez to Chigumbura, 1 run, dropped by Shafiq. Hafeez keeps spearing the ball flat, Chiggy decided to do something about it and went for a front-foot pick up over midwicket. Didn't get the elevation but got enough power for the ball to burst through the fielder's hands

Nerves for Hammad. Generally pretty safe as a fielder.

Nauman Niaz. In Australia it was Rahat Ali, now it's Hammad Azam!!!

How long are Rahat, Irfan and Sohail out for? We need them back for SL series otherwise we ain't winning a game.

boring match. Zim killed the momentum and the enthu for pak.

If we don't find some quality bowlers, Pakistan cricket will be finished in the next few years.

The wickets in Lahore and Karachi are flatter than anywhere in India. I remeber ganguly saying that they were the best batting tracks he has ever batted on

Sean Williams is a decent player of spin, don't know why he was discarded for their tour of Bangladesh.

Karachi is much flatter than this. This wicket has some seam movement and decent bounce. Bowling hasn't been particularly good from either side in general, barring Wahab.

Shobby legend, another dagger in the hearts of the haters. :malik

Be consistent. I can think of many a player who if they had comeback after such a shockinglay lean spell, u would he the first to he saying "calm down look at the conditions, opponents and match situation" in which this player scored his runs it took his wickets

Lets just hope that Zimbabwe don't win the toss and bat first in the next two matches, otherwise we all know what happens to us when we chase big scores.

Also Malcolm Waller is a brilliant player of spin. But he's not here either.

If Zimbawe quit falling out with their players, pay them properly and select/discard players on merit instead of political reasons they'd have held onto all their key players and would be a fairly good side.

I dunno whether you were watching cricket in 2002 but this match reminds of a match played between these two teams in Harare I think. Pakistan had scored around 300 I think and then Zimbabwe late middle order of Blignaut and Sean Ervine just came back with some relentless hitting and nearly pulled off an improvable victory. Mind you this was a Pakistan with some huge names :O

Our three fast bowlers who bowled well at the WC all injured at the same time. How is that possible? We need them back ASAP. Sami, Anwar aren't good enough.

Anwar Ali has been very unfortunate today. Could have 3 more wickets

Malik is a proven performer at this level who has had a long bad patch. In my view, there is no question over his ability. Now if someone who hasn't proved himself or is a proven failure, then you have to take it with a pinch of salt.

And the worst captain in our history Waqar was at the helm.
