A country so proud of fast bowlers and producing the best of them historically, delivering major tournament victories through them is now short of it.

Only Mohammad Amir currently looks like a good one in all formats due to his superior skillset and intelligence.

What about others? Which do you think are good enough to represent Pakistan in near future and the next World Cup.

I for one will get rid of Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Abbas and Faheem Ashraf permanently.

My 5 will be:

Mohammad Amir
Usman Shinwari
Shaheen Afridi
Mohammad Hasnain
Haris Rauf

Yours?

Amir is in his decline. Yes, he is bowling well, but it is of no use if Pakistan isn't winning and his loss of pace is something not to be ignored. Don't think he will last for the 2023 WC. Whereas Pakistan was winning with Hassan's performance. Yes Hassan Ali's form is pathetic at the moment, but it will be foolish to write him off in the future.

BCCI should start experimenting these guys after the world Cup.
Prasidh Krishna
Avesh khan
Navdeep Saini(bowling in RCB)
Khaleel ahmed
Shivam Mavi
Nagarkoti
Rush Kalaria
IShan porel

Haris rauf takes me back a couple of decades to the time i first saw a young raw waqar younis!
BIG ,BIG MISTAKE, NOT SELECTING RAUF FOR THIS WC!

Pacers:
Haris rauf
M. Hasnain
M. Amir
Usman khan shinwari
Are the four pacers i would select in the squad after the wc.
Shaheen(has to get back his form).
Musa and shah are future possiblities.

Spin:
Umer khan, zafar gohar, usama mir and M. asghar should all be tried out, to see if any of them are good enough to play for pak.
Shadab has to improve. He had to spin the ball more and stop giving a boundary delivery every over and if he does he can come back into the team.

I believe Pakistan will attempt to include more spinners in their side. So Umer Khan, zafar gohar, shadab and maybe mohammad nawaz will be good options. Imad will consistently be in the squad, and he will bowl his full quota of overs, more often than not. As far as fast bowling they do not have the best options to chose from. The obvious choice now is mohammad amir. Wahab will also be a good option out of the curretn choices. Shaheen and Hassan Ali have struggled and unless they can prove themselves again, tough to include them in the side. They need to coach up Husnain. I believe he bowls short of a length too often. Usman Shinwari is a good middle overs bowler that can replace Hassan Ali. Haris Rauf has good pace, but is too raw at this point. He will be a project for the future.

I also believe as Pakistan is generally lacking bowling talent, they will need to pick bowlers based on the conditions of the location in which they are playing. For example, maybe Amir is not the best choice in places like the UAE but is a good choice when playing in the UK or Australia.

In an ideal Pakistan side, they need to play 1 full-time spin option; 2 full-time seam options; 2 all-arounders with the ability to bowl spin (e.g., Imad, Harris, Mohammad Nawaz); and 1 all-arounder with the ability to bowl medium pace (what Pakistan attempted with Faheem Ashraf).

Naseem Shah is a MUST. He has that wow factor a Pakistan bowler had

Naseem Shah
Haris Rauf
Mohammad Musa
Mohammad Hasnain
Shaheen Afridi

Spinners -

Ibtisham Sheikh
Umer Khan
Zafar Gohar
Usama Mir
Mohammad Asghar

Naseem Shah is a MUST. He has that wow factor a Pakistan bowler had

Even Shaheen was supposed to have that "wow" factor, and Hasnain as well was overflowing with the "wow" factor. Here is a radical idea, how about we let these toddlers first wow for a bit in domestics and actually learn the art of landing the ball at the same spot twice in two balls.

Shaheen Shah Afridi is the next spearhead for Pakistan.

I hope he gets the right kind of guidance. He can be a 300+ wickets bowler if he fulfills his potential.

Other than that I guess Shinwari should be given more games

Hasan Ali needs to be given a season of FC to sort himself out.

In the meantime give games to Hasnain and Rauf and see if there's promise there. I don't know enough about Rauf but honestly, I don't see a lot in Hasnian.

Nobody should be selected without proving themselves in domestic cricket first. This nonsense of debuting after a half decent PSL must STOP as international cricket is not a finishing school. We've seen how inexperienced kids fast tracked like Shadab and Shaheen have suffered recently.

We must start with that criteria first.

Naseem Shah
Haris Rauf
Mohammad Musa
Mohammad Hasnain
Shaheen Afridi

Spinners -

Ibtisham Sheikh
Umer Khan
Zafar Gohar
Usama Mir
Mohammad Asghar

Good list - but Shadab is better than Usama Mir and Ibtisham Sheikh just needs to add consistency of length

Fast bowling you can add Mir Hamza and M Ilyas as potential new ball bowlers

Naseem Shah
Haris Rauf
Mohammad Musa
Mohammad Hasnain
Shaheen Afridi

Spinners -

Ibtisham Sheikh
Umer Khan
Zafar Gohar
Usama Mir
Mohammad Asghar

This, but I’d like to include Shadab Khan and Muhammad Amir.

We need a little bit of experience too.

Fakhar C
Sharjeel
Babar
M RIzwan WK
Shadab (Must work on his batting and bowling has to be given confidence and devleop as the genuine allrounder for balance of the team)
Iftikhar Ahmed
Khushdil Shah
Zafar Gohar
Haris Rauf
Naseem Shah
M Musa/Mir Hamza/M Ilyas - all can be tried to see who comes out as a good new ball bowler

Naseem shah Haris rauf musa shahen Hasnain all these guys need to play consistent first class cricket

For now stick with Amir wahab shinwari rauf and discard Hasan ali forever

Spin wise: Zafar gohar needs to be given a consistent run

May be Amir Yamin in ARs role until we discover someone better

These should be Pakistan's pacers on a rotation basis :

Amir,
Hasnain,
Musa Khan,
Arshad Iqbal,
Shaheen shah Afridi,
Naseem Shah,
Haris Rauf.

All of them capable of hitting 145Kph regularly (except Amir who can touch it once in a while these days).

Spin wise: Zafar gohar needs to be given a consistent run

May be Amir Yamin in ARs role until we discover someone better

Amir Yamin is a batsman. Take my word for it. He is a mediocre "bowler".

I know that quite well. I think we need a batting Allrounder for Asif Ali’s spot

Yamin gets swing with new ball and he can provide 5 overs up front and 6-7 overs per game
