Salman Akram Raja saying he will submit new documents related to Hussain in the evening. WTH is going on i mean why these documents were not submitted in last 8 months or in 60 days of JIT.

Something new coming up?

N' s strategy elongate it as long as you can new documents will be forged one again

Court should have ordered to file forgery cases against NS & co.

Looks like Judges are playing into the hands of NS

and thn you are given the chance to be spokesman of party on media within a day!

It would be nice to analyse the general ratings. I know generally the top two are Ary and Geo in Pakistan.

The ratings are interchangeable between the top 6 channels. Certain shows have higher ratings than others but the ratings fluctuate throughout the day from 1-6 between Ary, Geo, Aaj, Express, Dunya, and Samaa. Some have better talks shows, others better current affairs shows, and few have better news bulletins than the rest.

Where did funds for properties in KSA, London, and Dubai come from: SC judges ask PM's lawyer

A day after the Supreme Court (SC) pointedly inquired about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's money trail, the premier's counsel reiterated that his client had presented details of all his assets to the joint investigation team (JIT) that was mandated to probe allegations of money laundering against the Sharif family.

Senior counsel Khawaja Harris on Wednesday told the three-member apex bench, headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal and comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Ahsan, that the prime minister had provided details of all assets and sources of income in the form of tax returns.

“We will take a decision after looking at all the evidence,” Justice Ejaz Afzal told Harris as he completed his arguments before the bench. “Bring the [money trail] record and the discussion on the documents will end.”

Ishaq Dar’s lawyer begins arguments
“Have you also brought a Qatari letter with you?” Justice Azmat Saeed asked Finance Minister Ishaq Dar's lawyer, Tariq Hasan, as he began his arguments before the bench.

The lawyer's defence bore similarities to the arguments presented by Harris, as he told the court that the JIT had exceeded its mandate. An objection to the JIT’s report was included in the documents submitted to the apex court on Dar’s behalf on Monday.

“If you have so many objections, you should go to the trial court,” Justice Azmat Saeed remarked.

Hasan alleged that Dar had been "dragged" into the case by the JIT and did not actually have any direct involvement, to which Justice Ijazul Ahsan replied, “I can tell you Ishaq Dar’s connection to this case.” The name of the finance minister's nephew is included in the transactions relating to the Gulf Steel Mills, the judge elaborated, adding that money from the Hill Metal Establishment was transferred to the minister’s son, Ali Dar.

The judges quizzed the lawyer on his statement that the JIT had been “dishonest” in its investigations and hadn’t reviewed the submitted documents. “You had said that you did not submit any documents, yet you’re giving these statements,” said Justice Ijazul Ahsan, asking the lawyer to submit further documents at the next hearing (Thursday).

Dar's confession in Hudaibiya Paper Mills reference
Echoing the objection by the PM's lawyer, Hasan said that the JIT did not have the mandate to recommend reopening cases.

Referring to the Hudaibiya Paper Mills reference, Justice Azmat Saeed pointed out that Ishaq Dar had refused to accept his confessional statement in the reference that was recorded before a district magistrate in Lahore on April 25, 2000, as his own. In the statement, Dar had reportedly admitted to money laundering of $14.86 million, and opening two bank accounts under the names of Sikandar Masood Qazi and Talat Masood Qazi for Nawaz Sharif's brother.

During the initial Panamagate case hearing, Dar and his lawyers had maintained that the statement was “written under duress.” Speaking to the media after his appearance before the JIT, Dar had said that the statement was not written by him.

“If the confessional statement is deemed false, than the pardon [in the case] will also be unacceptable,” said the judge.

Sharif family's foreign properties
During his arguments on Wednesday morning, Harris said that according to the laws of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), "an individual cannot be held accountable for the properties and assets that are in the name of his wife and children." He added that the PM's relatives had also not concealed any assets.

In reference to the judges' observation that the PM had remained evasive in answering the questions put forward by the JIT, Harris responded that the team had not inquired about any other properties, maintaining that his client had not concealed any assets, nor did he own any benami properties.

“The real question is where did the money for [the Sharif family’s] properties in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and London come from?”Justice Ijazul Ahsan remarked. “We have not yet received an answer to this fundamental question.”

The judges told the lawyer that Chapter Four (Gulf Steel Mills/Gifts) of the JIT’s report contains “dangerous” documents and talks about the trust deed of the four Avenfield flats in London’s Park Lane neighbourhood, executed between Maryam Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz in February 2006, which was declared false by the JIT in its report over.

Harris told the bench that the PM, when asked about the trust deed by the JIT, had acknowledged that he was aware of the settlement, but did not know the details. He added that his client can only be held accountable for the properties under his name, maintaining that the PM has no connection to the London flats.

“Are there any records available with Hassan and Hussain Nawaz that can prove that the PM does not have any connection with the London flats?” asked Justice Ejaz Afzal.

If Hussain is the beneficial owner of the flats, then proof for the same should be provided, he remarked, noting that in the documents received by the court, Maryam Nawaz is shown as the beneficial owner.

“The connection between the PM and the London flats is based on speculation. There are no documents available to prove this,” the lawyer said.

“Why do you keep insisting that all the records are available?” Justice Ijazul Ahsan asked the lawyer, directing him to show the documents relating to the agreement signed with Minerva Financial Services Limited ─ the holding company for Nescoll Limited and Nielson Enterprises Limited, the owners of the four London flats ─ to ascertain who signed them.

"Where is the money trail?"
During Tuesday's hearing, the apex bench had asked about the PM's money trail, saying, "We've been waiting for it since day one." The prime minister and his family members had remained evasive in answering the questions put forward by the JIT, added the judges.

The bench had reminded the PM's lawyer that the onus of establishing a money trail after claiming ownership of the Avenfield flats was on the Sharif family, adding that the money trail of the flats "remained shrouded in mystery — even to this day."

The apex bench had also asked the counsel point-blank whether the judges should form their own opinion over the concealment of facts by his client or refer the matter to an accountability court.

Harris had argued that the JIT had exceeded its mandate by recommending the SC to reopen 15 cases against his client. He also questioned the authenticity of the documents obtained from the UK and the UAE that were included in the JIT's report.

The bench had resumed the Panamagate case on Monday, nearly three months after ordering the formation of a JIT to investigate the allegations of money laundering against the Sharif family.

Presenting his statement before the bench on Monday, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's (PTI) lead counsel Naeem Bokhari had requested that PM Nawaz Sharif should be asked to come to the court for questioning. During his arguments, Bokhari highlighted several findings of the JIT report that he said "incriminate" the Sharif family.

How many more chances will SC give these guys to present money trail? This is getting irritating now.

Deal has been struck.

Pakistani adaliyaa ko ikhees toppon ki salaami

:salute :salute :salute

Long live corruption.

The SC is just wasting everyone's time and wants to put the burden of the case on someone else's shoulders. The SC lacks the guts to give a decision against the Sharif Family. It seems to me a deal has been reached.

Itne chances kabhi kisi ghareeb ko kyun nae deti humaari courts :13:

This isn't justice and news of a deal is surfacing!

Horrible society and only a revolution can save Pakistan. Imran should get back on the streets

Him getting back on street isn't going work yeh soi hui qaum he abhi bera time lagega jaagne main inko so last hope is SC finally delivering something this time instead of another nazrya-e-zaruret.

From the body language of Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif, looks like a deal has been struck.

Sad reality. What are the supreme court justices trying to prove by giving so many chances to "provide" a money trail?

Another part of me is saying that the justices are giving ample time to the Sharifs to present whatever "evidence" they can present and then bring down the hammer. They want to make sure that the Sharif family doesn't have any room for excuses afterwards.

Imrans body language looks fine, Nawaz has always been shameless so wouldn't really focus on his body language.

I think the judges are purposely letting Nawaz and co dig deeper graves for themselves. People keep complaining that judges did this or that like make the jit etc but that resulted on a large portion of gunda leagues corruption out in the open. By the end of this process the Judges hopefully bury these guys so deep that forget Maryam Nawaz her grand children wont come into politics.

Geo Jang campaign already started that SC is sending the ref to NAB instead of any conviction or disqualification.

Must be the only country where you can just change political sides in matter of minutes. No one seems to have any vision.

thats why I cannot support Imran Khan and PTI. They are same like PML-N and PPP.

Question: How do we know if these letters were not submitted to SC?

Because Sharifs are saying they submitted it to JIT. So where were these letters during 126 days hearing of the case until 20 April?

Can you please list all the corrupt folks around Imran and what is the extent of their corruption. I'm eagerly waiting for your response.

Aleem Khan and Gondal are 2 of the biggest corrupts ever in Pakistan and both are close to Imran Khan

I'm a sheep for stating imran khan's stance against corruption? The man should be given a chance on the basis of his corruption free politics alone

If Imran Khan is so much against corruption then why he includes corrupt people in his party and be close with them? Imran Khan will be judged by his actions and not by his words. And he has failed that test.

I think Sharifs are saying they submitted these letters to JIT but JIT did not report them to SC? This will question the integrity and honesty of JIT.

You're telling other people to stop being sheep but it is pretty obvious that you're the actual sheep here. Not to mention the joke that is your argument. 'He killed someone so I should be allowed to kill someone too'!. Pathetic.

You have no answer to my arguments as expected. Nobody can justify the inclusion of corrupt people in Imran Khan's party. Not even Imran Khan himself.

lol alrighty keep on living in lala land.

then try to justify the inclusion of corrupt people in Imran Khan's party. Come on take a shot.

LOL! Why don't you take them to court and prove it? Right now there's only one party and person that's being investigated and proven guilty! You know who that is! Too bad NS doesn't have the dignity or self respect to step down and let go of the country from his clutches.

thats why I cannot support Imran Khan and PTI. They are same like PML-N and PPP.

What is your solution or suggestion to this dilemma of having to choose between one corrupt over another?

Do you even have any intention to help solve the issue and make Pakistan a better place or do you just prefer to observe the happenings from a safe distance?

who is corrupt in pti and what are the charges against them????

What is your solution or suggestion to this dilemma of having to choose between one corrupt over another?

Remember PTI gained popularity on the promise that it is against corruption and is different from the other 2 main parties PPP and PML-N who were accused of supporting corruption.

It was Imran Khan's responsibility to make sure that his party remains true to its reason of creation i.e. fight against corruption. But Imran Khan instead included more and more corrupt people in his party and give them higher levels while he sidelines honest people in his party; as a result some honest people left his party while some other honest people are hoping against hope that Imran Khan will go back to the party's roots and kick out the corrupt people. But the reality is now PTI has lot more corrupt people at higher levels.

If you guys were supporting PTI because it was against corruption then you guys should question the double standards of Imran Khan and tell him to act what he says. If you guys were supporting PTI because you are fan of Imran Khan then continue to be sheep.

Please read the reports coming out now and pictures. The new documents are even worst forgeries :))

Maryam spelt wrong, the word 'notary' spelt wrong on a notarised document/stamp, 90% of the 'new' documents are simply originals of the one already submitted to JIT (who have given those copies to SC in their annexures)

Its more of a farce to drag this thing.

if SC only refer the case to NAB but did not disqualify Nawaz Sharif then it would be consider death of justice

Because Sharifs are saying they submitted it to JIT. So where were these letters during 126 days hearing of the case until 20 April?

but this was also in media that they submitted more or less the same docs to JIT what they did to SC.

From your answer specific to these letters, its like speculation on your part. which is fine.

I do not know if children (Hassan/Hussain/Maryam) fooling dad, or dad is using his children.

Dad is using his children, the children had flats in their name worth millions when they were kids. Unless they knew how to earn vasts amount of money its safe to assume that daddy bought the flats but to escape any attention named it after his kids, its a very common money laundering tactic. This is not me saying it, this is from Nawaz himself. Talking about PP he once said ''whoever does corruption never names anything in his name, he uses his kids or friends''. The same guy who is dancing on his father's grave by pointing everything to him.

With all of this ill-gotten wealth, they could've had the best forgers money could buy. Yet it looks like they've gone for rank amateurs.

Either that, or whoever they've hired is one of those people. If you've ever had the misfortune of having a banner or signboard made in Pakistan, you'll know who those people are. Whatever their other skills, they aren't too well-versed in English, and try to correct what they think are mistakes on your part. I've seen signs boldly proclaiming "Self-Reliance Through Indigestion," because the painter decided that Indigenization wasn't a word and was a typo by the organization that commissioned the sign.

The thing is none of the people like almost everyone in the Pakistan political set-up has not been proven to being corrupted. Yes, I have read in the news that Aleem Khan is a bad guy and many others but its not proven. Now under PTI and Imran Khan if these guys do any hanky panky, Imran Khan has to ensure there are measures in place that they are caught in the act and there should be accountability. Until then I will reserve my judgement.

Its a small example, I have a small business and I often tender for jobs. I have alhamdulillah never bribed anyone to get a contract. There was one instance when one of my clients called me and asked why I had stopped doing business with them and I told them that we had some issue with a new procurement manager. They investigated the procurement manager and found out he was taking commissions.

After that I had a changed view of the world thinking if I blow the whistle on such people I would be able to gain more business. A few days later a procurement executive of another company asked for a commission. I decided to call up their GM and tell him of the situation. The executive called me back after a few hours and said "Boss, what are you doing, even the GM has a cut in this".

The whole point is such things come from the top, from the leadership. A stern hand like Imran can control the "cronies". He is trying to change a system within a system. Its not ideal but this is politics.

People think corruption is only in governments but fact is it is prevalent in most corporate institutions at some form or another.

I am also against many things about Imran Khan, i.e his soft stances against some religious groups but his fight against corruption is commendable.

IK or whoever becomes the leader cannot eliminate corruption becomes it has become deeply embedded in the national psyche but he can make a huge difference. For a start he cannot be blackmailed as his flaws in his personal life have been documented and as far his financial dealings are concerned, he is clean as we are likely to get in PK. A good honest leader can galvanise a country whereas a crook can never be taken seriously. Just ask yourself, If NS asked PK to pay tax, what will most be thinking?

Dad is using his children, the children had flats in their name worth millions when they were kids. Unless they knew how to earn vasts amount of money its safe to assume that daddy bought the flats but to escape any attention named it after his kids, its a very common money laundering tactic. This is not me saying it, this is from Nawaz himself. Talking about PP he once said ''whoever does corruption never names anything in his name, he uses his kids or friends''. The same guy who is dancing on his father's grave by pointing everything to him.
Then

Q: Why would NS require 10k salary and leave a clear document trail?
It does not make sense unless children fooled the dad.

You could have been an excellent help in this case as you are proficient in English, Urdu and Arabic.

Stupidity.

For the same reason he is forging documents, some of them are so obvious me and you can spot them, never mind proper investigators.

IK is equally corrupt, there are so many active cases against him in Courts.
Couple of days back, court ordered to sell his (and TUQ's) properties.

IK cannot afford to even think against establishment, as he knows very well about his role in this puppet show.

NS actually warned IK about it today.

You do a good job at pointing out what's wrong but so far you haven't provided an alternative solution. It's easy to point out what's wrong with something but it's another thing to come up with better alternatives.

You did not address my clear question.

I am not arguing for or against PTI. I am interested in what you suggest the course of action should be for the future years to come. I am interested in your views on who you wish to see in power in the coming years and why.

So let's start with my views to make it easy. I am not a supporter of PTI. I don't even follow PTI or anyother particular political party in Pakistan. I don't watch Imran Khan's interviews on a daily basis, not even on monthly basis. I don't actively watch Pakistani talk shows or TV programs and only once in a while when prompted by friends.

Admittingly this does expose my lack of insight on the topic and the reason behind it is that currently I don't have the time and nerves to follow all the political parties but most importantly I don't see any of them fit enough to solve the nation's problem. I don't see any of them with the right vision and insight. Whenever I listen to a political talk show none of the representatives of the different parties inspire or motivate me to dig deeper and look what their party is all about.

Fittingly I also don't talk much on these political issues. But I do know which party my parents support or which party my grandparents used to support or which party my extended family supports. I am aware which party the people of my village have been supporting and on what basis and merits. Hence I am aware of the blind support and chest thumping which goes on. I am aware of the lack of critical thinking and honest scrutiny. I am aware of how little thought process goes through when a vote is casted and how emotionally invested people are in the party they and their elders have been supporting for ages. I am aware of the herd mentality. I am aware how people take the vote casting as a mean to show off.

But I am tired of all this mindless game playing. I am tired of ego fights and loud chest thumpings. I am tired of hearing the emotional slogans and sarcastic banter. I am tired of seeing the same old incompetent people at power and then seeing their children and grandchildren trying to have a piece of the cake too. I am tired of the Sharifs, the Bhuttos, the Zardaris. I am tired of the Chaohdrys and the military men. I am tired of knowing that no child in Pakistan could ever dream of becoming an independent politician with influence let alone the nation's president unless it's born in a handful of influential families with corruption and thuggery as their means.

Despite all this I don't wish to distance myself from this nation of fools even though I easily could. I hope to remain optimistic despite the failures of generations before us. Because :

پھر بھی گھر تو آخر اپنا ہےـ

Home is home.

So for now no matter how foolish it might seem If you were to ask me who I wish to see holding the power in the near future I'd answer PTI without knowing all the facts. For the sole reason that at the very least the face at the very front is someone new. For the reason that at least we have tried out a new option and have it behind us. So that after their tenure is over at least all the cards are open and one can move on.

This simplistic reasoning might be foolish, insane and irrational but given the option to me it's the most sane and rational choice. Even if 99% of the PTI are the same old recycled and corrupt people at least the remaining 1% is new and has potential. It's better to take 99% same old and corrupt over 100% same old and corrupt.

Hence as a mean to educate myself my question to you and anyone who wishes to chime in still stands:

What is your solution or suggestion to this dilemma of having to choose between one corrupt over another?

Do you even have any intention to help solve the issue and make Pakistan a better place or do you just prefer to observe the happenings from a safe distance?

Don't take my question as an attempt to mess with you or make a case for any political party.

Stupidity.

For the same reason he is forging documents, some of them are so obvious me and you can spot them, never mind proper investigators.

Forgeries are also being carried out by his children.

If 10K salaries were being deposited by son in dubai and then withdrawn also by son, then dad is out of the loop.
