The five-year-old daughter of the Meerut woman, who killed her husband with her lover's help, reportedly told neighbours that her father was inside the drum. The claim was made by the mother of victim, Saurabh Rajput.

The Meerut woman, who allegedly killed her husband with the help of her lover, had sent misleading messages to the victim's family to pretend that he was still alive. Chats accessed by India Today TV revealed that Muskan Rastogi posed as her husband Saurabh Rajput and sent messages to his sister, in which the two talked about going home for Holi and also exchanged greetings for the festival. A few days later Saurabh's sister sensed something mysterious and called her brother several times. However, the calls went unanswered.

Furthermore, Saurabh's mother claimed that her five-year-old granddaughter knew something was wrong as she told neighbours that his father is inside the drum. "Papa drum mein hain (Papa is inside the drum)," the daughter of Saurabh and Muskan told neighbours, as claimed by the victim's mother.

"She (the daughter of Saurabh and Muskan) might be aware of this, as the neighbours told us that she (the daughter of Saurabh and Muskan) said that 'papa has been kept in drum'...She (the daughter) might have seen something, then only she was saying so," Saurabh's mother told news agency ANI.

She also alleged that Muskan's family was aware of the entire incident, and they consulted a lawyer before approaching the police to inform them that their daughter had killed Saurabh.

"They informed the police...As soon as the police came, by the time she (Muskan) reached her mother's house to tell them...Her mother knew everything prior...But to mislead things, she (Muskan's mother) said that she (Muskan) reached them to tell them that she had killed him (Saurabh)...Her (Muskan) mother met some lawyer and reached court. Later, the police came and took the family (of Muskan) with them... They all (the family of Muskan) will be hanged to death along with that boy (Sahil)," Saurabh's mother told ANI.

According to the police, Saurabh was last seen on March 4, the day he was allegedly murdered. On that night, Muskan allegedly mixed sedatives with Saurabh's food, rendering him unconscious. Then, she called her lover, identified as Sahil Shukla, to the house. The duo then stabbed Saurabh in the chest with a butcher's knife before slitting his throat. To make disposing of the body easier, Muskan and Sahil chopped off Saurabh's hands. They bought a large plastic drum, cement and sand from a nearby market the next day, and sealed the victim's body inside the drum, and hid it in Muskan and Saurabh's house.

After committing the gruesome murder, Muskan and Sahil reportedly left for holiday to a hill station. Locals had noticed that she locked the house and told neighbours about going on a trip to Himachal Pradesh with her husband. This is the period when Muskan sent misleading messages from Saurabh's phone to his sister to cover her tracks and avoid suspicion.

The incident came to light after Muskan's mother approached the police, revealing that her daughter had confessed to the crime. Upon questioning, Muskan and Sahil confessed to stabbing Saurabh to death.

Saurabh had recently returned to Meerut from London, where he worked. Police revealed that he told his family he was in the Merchant Navy, but he actually worked in a bakery in the English capital. Saurabh and Muskan had a love marriage in 2016. The couple have been living in a rented house with their five-year-old daughter for the past three years.

Sometimes i really think weird stories like these should be underreported. Sick people out there take inspiration from these stories to do it themselves.

Best thing about this incident has been that the girl’s mother and father seemed to have handed her to the police. Really sick stuff this.

Bhai everything is not about Bharat vs Pakistan. 🤦🏻

And what i said isn’t uncommon. The Western media and agencies follow it. There are research papers on this.

TBH Crime happens in all countries, let alone a country as populated as India. However, only Indian ones gets highlighted here. Are there no crimes in Pakistan? Why I never get to read anything? Last one I read where one guy shot another one in petrol pump due to whatsapp group but people were taking a dig at India in that thread as well.

so what is your issue?
Indian crimes should not be discussed and reported?

Correct. They shouldn't.
interesting. so you dont have an issue with them being comitted, ur issue is with them being reported.

Like there are nationalistic Americans that believe that bad news should not be reported any only the news they want to hear should be reported.

Where is Meerut?

Traumatic and unfortunate, hopefully people develop some empathy in future.

I didn’t say that PP shouldn’t discuss them.
I said the mainstream media shouldn’t go crazy in reporting such matters. One such incident puts these weird ideas in the minds of sick people to repeat it. It’s a worldwide well known and well researched phenomena.

This is true, even in the UK we have awful crimes happening on a daily basis, but some become notorious just because they are so heinous. I guess this would fall under that category. There have been threads here about really disgusting crimes in Pakistan as well, I can remember that one particularly bad one about the guy who had killed so many children and dumped their bodies. I can't remember his name now as I don't live there, but it was trending here for a long while.

You didn't read the OP in that thread and ended up shooting yourself in the foot, just like when you asked for the latest incident in India, and I shared it with you. Just say ‘Thank you’ and don't be a thankless Brit. :inti

This is a crime but far from being henious. Many more henious crimes happen in India and all over the world.

I am still waiting for you to share the well research phenomena. Thanks

I am waiting for the golden days when lovers eloping and neighbors fighting over water tap turns also get reported in Timepass section.

No news should go unreported. :salute
Things like these do happen in India though. :inti

Remember quite a few got inspired by watching Crime Patrol and they did crimes similarly that Crime Patrol was showing

It might not seem heinous to you, but I guess it depends on your tolerance level. We had the story about the couple who ran off to Pakistan after beating their child to death over a long period. There was a thread on it ( Sara Sherif) and you didn't get any whining about why are we posting threads about it.

Another case like this. It's from Jaipur.

A CCTV camera clip showing a man and a woman riding a two-wheeler in Jaipur while holding a large sack has helped police crack the murder of a vegetable vendor and arrest his wife and her partner, officers said Thursday.

The victim was identified as Dhannalal Saini. According to Jaipur police, he had suspected his wife, Gopali Devi, of being in a relationship with one Deendayal and confronted them on March 15.

Police alleged that upon being confronted, Gopali Devi and Deendayal killed Saini.

SHO of Muhana police station, Uday Singh, told The Indian Express, “Gopali Devi was in a love affair with accused Deendayal for the last five years. The victim went to Deendayal’s textile shop in Sanganer on March 15 to find out about his wife. The deceased saw Gopali Devi with Deendayal at the shop.” Subsequently, Saini confronted them.

According to police, Gopali Devi and Deendayal then took Saini to another store above the clothes shop and allegedly hit him on the head with an iron pipe before strangling him with a rope.

To dispose of the body, it was allegedly packed in a plastic bag and taken on Deendayal’s bike to a jungle area, where it was set on fire. According to the SHO, police first got to know about the incident when a person called the 100 number on March 16 to report the finding of a half-burnt body.

Police sent the body for postmortem and in the process of investigation, found the CCTV footage showing the body being carried on a bike. This led police to the accused. Both have been arrested.

Modern day India has become very rabid. Current generations are tarnishing the reputations of their forefathers who were polite, gentle, and hardworking. :inti

This rabidness may cause decline in the long run. :inti
