Not that easy. I thought it was a shrewd political move when BCCI was open to tour Pak pending GOI approval. Based on the other Indian posters in this forum, it was evident that people don't want to play in Pak. Joshila even claimed that BJP would be scoring an own goal if they permit this. Everything between Ind and Pak is political. Not just sports but also artists, trade etc. The money is imp for the fans because it means better facilities, better players and some of the BCCI cash is even used to fund other sports. Money is also imp for bragging on social media. That's imp too
Man City would be caught dead than brag about their money.
It's only a certain kind of individual who uses money as a bragging tool and only a certain kind of individual who takes the bait.
Pakistan cricket has enough money to put up a decent team. Issues are around legacy mismanagement and crony culture.
Your other point about cricket being political is absolutely spot on. No sub continental government worth its salt will ever not interfere in cricket, knowing it's connected to their vote bank. But there are ways of interfering. The fact that PCB's patron is the Prime Minister is just the extreme form of idiocy one could conjure up to ruin their golden goose.
