Indian fans have been crying for the last 15 years for BCCI to boycott a game and what not.

And guess what, today PCB is the one that will not only boycott but pull out of the tournament, not caring about elimination.

Well done PCB, they walked the talk.

Pakistan nay hee boycott kerdia???

I think boycott is justified. This tournament has been a farce anyway. India had 3-4 days of gap between games; other countries had shorter gaps. Also, groupings have been comical. They always put PAK and IND in same group and BD, SL, and AFG is another group. Why can't they mix it up? These groupings should be done randomly.

Pycroft acted like an Indian agent. I think ICC should remove him for not being neutral. Then again, ICC is BCCICC now. So, that is unlikely.

Good job by PCB, should have boycotted the first match as well, cannot play cricket with a country like India who promotes terrorism, wants to destroy our country and kill there own people. Well done PCB.

Bangladesh should also boycott, then. 🤡

“Only if Pakistan had beaten India earlier… oh boy, can you imagine the scenes right now? This is exactly why they say: focus on your own performance first, and everything else will eventually fall into place.”

The right call.

Leave the low IQ hyper nationalists at the alter, let fans of said low iq hyper nationalists cry their tears through their keyboards.

Dignity comes first.

Haar me bhi jeet dhoondte huye desperate Pakistani fans :yk

The fact of the matter is, as I said a couple of days ago - PCB has shot itself in the foot with this fake show of bravery.

After being badly beaten on the field on sunday, instead of focusing on improving their cricket, they started whining about silly things like handshakes and post-match comments.

If they really had guts, they would have demanded the removal of Surya Kumar Yadav or even Team India from the tournament. But what did they do? They went after the softest possible target — Andy Pycroft. They assumed ICC would cave in and remove the match referee, letting them parade their “bravery” in front of the local media.

Now reality has slapped them. ICC has made it clear that the referee will not be changed. PCB’s ego is hurt so badly that they even cancelled the pre-match press conference last night. They sent yet another letter demanding Pycroft’s removal, and ICC rejected it again.

With nowhere to hide, the Pakistan team is now refusing to even leave the hotel for their match against UAE.

Meanwhile, the Indian team and supporters are laughing in the corner.

:rp :klopp

This isn’t a boycott. This is a surrender.

PCB knows Pakistan cannot beat India, and therefore, the embarrassment will continue.

It is better to run away after one hammering rather than two or three. This is just a face-saving exercise.

PCB deserves this humiliation. Next step is for Mohsin Naqvi, Hesson and Agha to resign.

Brillant by Pakistan- they are boycott king from now on.

Next tournamant to boycott - WT20 2026

Full support from Indian fans in their future boycott endeavour.

From what I understand, the low iq hyper nationalist fans have boycotted watching the tournament and are up in arms at the bcci going ahead. Excellent curveball from the PCB. Extreme cope from low iq hyper nationalists now trying to recover from being left at the alter.

A nonsense post.

Why would they resign? and who would you appoint instead?

This is a boycott against Pycroft for featuring in todays game.
PCB made a request to remove him which was denied

I agree.

Cricket is just a game. India made things very political and dramatic. This is no longer about cricket.

Also, Asia Cup has been a big farce. Just check the schedulings and groupings. India received so many blatant perks.

PCB has surrender infront of ICC and BCCI. They are really scared of team india phianta so nice decison to runs away .

Now wait for penalty. Hahahahah

You are right...we initially planned to boycott. However, didnt realize Sura Kumar Yadav will launch another Operation Sindoor on Pakistan.

Hoping someone can bump the ‘things are bad when…’ thread.

This act by PCB is unnecessary and imprudent. Boycotters are usually left with eggs on their faces.

What Ind players did was petty and should have been highlighted for that. PCB saying hold our water let us do something even more absurd.

Let's hope ICC/ACC takes a tough stand on this immaturity displayed by the PCB.

Financial penalty likely?
Werent you barking for BCCI to do this.

Now someone does it, you want ICC to take action.

Irony died there

I would have accepted the penalty as well. I think financial penalties are reasonable for such reckless actions.

A few millions atleast, in dollars, not PKR.

Pehle tournament ko India se bahar nikala :D have not seen more dramatic tournament

South Asia is unfortunately a land of small, weak man. Petty from India not to shake hands.

Now Naqvi and PCB trying to one up that and trying to make it even worse.

If Pakistan boycotts Asia cup, ACC will reduce the revenue for PCB.

Meaning Moshin Naqvi will not give money to Moshin Naqvi

PCB chief ne PCB chief pe hi hamla karna shuru kar diya

:klopp

Lets see how Modis low iq hyper nationalist base take this news. Pakistan doing the very thing theyve been asking the BCCI to do from the start. LOL

I think a few pakistanis here dont understand the match referee issue.

If a match referee is not going to act neutral, than PCB is well within its rights to ask for his removal. The referee is the ICC rep at the ground, if he is being influenced by others and making decisions that affects the neutrality of the game, than PCB did the right thing to ask for his removal.

If ICC doesnt want to remove him, than we wont play simple.

This is your issue, money money money.

No one gives a damn about revenue, will revenue bring your rafales or your dignity back? NO.

Both cricket boards are a joke.

But its probably a good thing ,as tempers could have escalated. the last thing we wanted to see is Ghambir being thrown around in the air like a doll.

They should resign because of producing an embarrassing performance vs India which was the trigger point for everything that followed.

No one had any problem when Agha and Surya went sideways during the toss and neither of them made an attempt to shake hands.

Not shaking hands with them after the match wouldn’t have been a problem either, but it’s just that Pakistan got humiliated very badly on the pitch and started crying.

This is why Agha and the team hid in the dressing room like cowards too. They couldn’t develop the courage of going to the post match presentation after what happened on the pitch.

The situation would have been completely different if Pakistan had beaten India or if it was a hard fought defeat like the Asia Cup 2022 match 1, WT20 2022 and WT20 2024.

This was an absolutely terrible time for Pakistan to fold over the way they did. It was the most one-sided T20 encounter between the two countries in years because Pakistan pushed India all the way at least in this format in the last few years.

Given the political tension and hatred between the two countries right now, there was huge pressure and expectation on Pakistan to deliver on the pitch.

There is absolutely no excuse for their pathetic cowardly performance especially after they spent months blowing their own trumpet about how they have removed outdated players and have adopted a modern and aggressive template.

Naqvi, Hesson and Agha have let the nation down big time and caused Pakistan a humiliation for the ages. If they have any shame, they will resign.

FUnny thing is, alot of Indians are crying here.

LOL ...why should we cry...infact we are enjoying the show with a full bowl of popcorn.

Very well done, PCB. Beautiful. What entertainment, better than actual cricket match.

If Pakistan had a problem with India, they would had boycotted the next game. THe issue here is why the ICC rep asked our captain to shut his mic and not shake hands. How can an ICC rep make such demands, thats the issue.

If the match referee was Ritchie Richardson, the match would had went on.

Come out of delulu. You mean same way like Indian legends surrendered after 6-0?:ashwin
Pakistan have decided to boycott Asia Cup 2025 saying if the matches are telecasted live we'll not participate.
PCB Chairman says "Stop telecasting the games and we'll play and claim victories irrespective of the results"

That's how Pakistan claimed fake victory 🤣🤣🤣

:klopp :kp

If the boycott was done pre-tournament, it would have been lauded.

To get their ass handed to them on field and then have the dressing room door closed on them with no handshakes and with those press conferences.

Boycott now looks pathetic.

Ican only imagine the memes in India after this.. I can see some glimpses in my insta feed even before it's official

The performance on the pitch wasnt great but the rest of your post is just assumptions based on your subjective view. Being disrespected and treated like second class citizens isnt something one whould normalise, hence the reaction of agha and co were justified.

Also its no secret that the indians are a better side than us at present, in every facet. Until we professionalise our setup and stop appointing low iq types like asad shafiq into senior posts, the results will stay inconsistent.

When you perform like that, you deserve to be disrespected. If you have a problem with what Surya said, well then you should have beaten him so that he would have been the one hiding in the dressing room.

Do you think Pakistan would have acted like saints and “respected” India had we won? Absolutely not. The media trolling and the 7-0 and team India down like Rafales etc. jibes would have broken the internet.

Let’s stop playing victim here. We are no better than them and they are no better than us. We have the same mentality, but it’s just that we are rubbish on the pitch so we don’t have a leg to stand on.

We were not aware of your game Jay Shah Bapu 🙏🤣

Make Pakistan themselves boycott and we still make whatever $$$. Masterstroke 🔥🔥🔥

None of the major sites are reporting a boycott yet but if true, this is absurd.

If you're going to boycott and forfeit a tournament, make it for something big. Not over a petty issue like the Match referee who's basically powerless.

While Surya did make a political statement many Pak cricketers have done the same in past. E.g. Malik and Afridi. PCT took this as an opportunity to avoid further embarrassment after a one-sided match. It’s T20, and there’s always a chance for an upset. In my opinion, PCT should have carried on and played without fear. Who knows, they could have even upset India. But instead, they chickened out. I’d be livid if my team did something like this.

It wasnt so much what he said, it was the match referee following instructions from a foreign govt on what can and cant take place on a cricket pitch. Its verging on an apartheid system, sometimes you need to take a stand.

Everything I say is independent of what actually happened on the field of play. I dont think for one second most of the indian players would behave in such a manner unless pressurised to do so by a govt trying to save face.

Pretty illogical stuff from Pakistan. We did your guys dirty, Ill admit. Just play and beat India, and that would have embarrassed us in front of the world. It's T20, not impossible whatsoever

Now, they have basically walked away because of our shenanigans. That too after a pounding on the field. You think Indian fans will care a bit about this "incredible" show of pride from Pakistan?? How does this even make sense?

PCB is playing victim and crying only because Pakistan got humiliated on the pitch.

Would Pakistan have boycotted if they had won the match? Absolutely not. They would not have made a big issue out of the action of the referee.

Sure, they would have lodged a complaint but they wouldn’t have ran away from the tournament because they would have backed themselves to shut up India and ACC by beating India again and winning the tournament.

Pakistan got beaten so badly by India that they looked for an escape route and found one.

Real statement would have been beating India and then walking out of the tournament. That is a boss move.

What PCB did now is a cowardly move. They will sell the boycott narrative and our gullible fan will lap it up to cover their embarrassment but the reality is there for everyone to see.

Its not about surya, its about the interference of a match referee under the influence of a foreign govt.
