Do you agree with Modi's portrayal as a dictator?

Going back to the topic at hand, I wonder how Modi treats athiests. Is he allowing them to claim Indian citizenship as well? If they are tortured and subjugated in Muslim countries, will he stand up for them? Or is that not a large enough voter base for him?
I wish. but he won't.

lol... By condoning Modi's hate speech you are maligning the real world atheists
is there an online Athiests authority we can lodge a complaint with for having an imposter athiest in our midst, spreading propaganda and hate speech against Muslims? I am sure he will be disavowed if he ever was a card carrying member of the atheist society. Shown the door as they say. I am sure they don't condone anybody behaving like a brat sullying their good name.

Lol don't be a hypocrite i will reproduce the text of post 162 for everyone to see who is chickening out and is a hypocrite
yeah. sure. Let me repost your definition of terrorism

"Terrorists are those who enforce their opinions on others"

Isn't that want monotheists do?

Feel free to if you want change your mind about what terrorism is.

I wish. but he won't.
How sad. Maybe we should continue this line of discussion here then. You are free to open a separate thread about your hate of Islam and Muslims. At least have the cojones to be open about it and don't hide behind other discussions. I am sure we will be kind enough to allow you to at least take a few more feeble attempts at justifying your hateful views, before the mods can your thread with a warning.

Lol don't be a hypocrite i will reproduce the text of post 162 for everyone to see who is chickening out and is a hypocrite
so he is openly claiming all monotheist are full of hate and are terrorists? wow.

I wonder why you guys are even condoning his continued participation here.. unless you think its making for a decent enough entertainment for us all? LOL

O so you are finally ready for it.

Below is my definition of terrorist
>>>Terrorists are those who enforce their opinions on others, who kill people aimlessly just to further their powers and those who kick people out of their land for their colonization and just to get their dirty hands over their resources.<<<

And here is yours
>>>terrorist are those who target civilians with violence to further their political cause<<<

As I asked you before but you digressed then. This thread is about Modi. And according to your definition he is a terrorist because he assented to civilian killings in IOK and poor Muslim killings in Gujrat riots and following are the reputable sources to back this claim

====
These include a report stating that the violence in Gujarat showed "all the hallmarks of an ethnic cleansing".[2] The documents also cited police officers who stated that the police were prevented from aiding Muslim rape victims by pressure from the state government, and noted religious bias in how relief funds were distributed.[20] Jack Straw, at the time the UK Foreign Secretary, is depicted saying that there were "serious claims" that Modi was actively restricting the activities of the police, and also "tacitly encouraging the Hindu extremists

@Stewie @HalBass9 guys see who is chickening out and truncating definitions to suit his agenda.

This is @rpant_gabba definition

>>>terrorist are those who target civilians with violence to further their political cause<<<

so he is openly claiming all monotheist are full of hate and are terrorists? wow.

I wonder why you guys are even condoning his continued participation here.. unless you think its making for a decent enough entertainment for us all? LOL
your problem is with @The Bald Eagle. That is by his definition.

by the bald eagle:

Below is my definition of terrorist
>>>Terrorists are those who enforce their opinions on others,

Doesn't monothiesm and monotheists enforce opinion on others?

Sorry but here you are trying to enforce your opinion too upon us. So are you a terrorist too? lol

Also you have changed your definition of terrorism lol.

Its an interesting spot to be in

I point out

a) cows are no more sacred than a goat or chicken or a mouse

b) rama and krishna are not moral characters

I get in trouble with hindus

I point of the issues with "good book" preaching slavery, genocide etc etc

I get in trouble with monothiests

Sorry but here you are trying to enforce your opinion too upon us. So are you a terrorist too? lol

Also you have changed your definition of terrorism lol.
thats just plain weak tea.

did or did you not state this?

Terrorists are those who enforce their opinions on others,
from OBL thread >>>>Yep i can give mine but you can't give yours beside vanishing. Terrorists are those who enforce their opinions on others, who kill people aimlessly just to further their powers and those who kick people out of their land for their colonization and just to get their dirty hands over their resources.<<
The above text is from post 15 OBL thread and on freedom fighter its too simple anyone who fights to liberate their land from invaders, colonizers or imperialist forces

Hopefully now you will tender your definitions too instead of dodging tactics

what did I change? point out the change

@The Bald Eagle eagerly waiting for you to point out what I changed?

is your defintion invalid without the rest?

Doesn't that stand on its own? IMO, it does. I'm agreeing with you
Your earlier definition of terrorist

>>>terrorist are those who target civilians with violence to further their political cause<<

And below one is your new one

Below is my definition of terrorist
>>>Terrorists are those who enforce their opinions on others,
Do you have any comprehension issues? Lol these two definitions are entirely different.

And on definition being invalid. It's just too farcical. Whenever you trim one statement it loses its context and meaning.

For instance Islam says that don't go near prayer when you are intoxicated . But if you say it like "Islam says don't go near prayer". It entirely loses its context and meaning

India antitrust body warns staff over unauthorised media contacts, memo shows

India's antitrust watchdog has warned staff in an internal memo not to share any information with the media when they are not authorized to do so, citing a 60-year-old rule that prohibits such interactions, a document shows.

It has been observed that of late certain information related to the cases (under review) are published/available in the media ... this has been viewed very seriously," the Competition Commission of India (CCI) said in an Aug. 20 memo to all staff, which was seen by Reuters.

CCI chairperson Ravneet Kaur did not respond to queries on the memo.

The CCI is investigating high-profile companies and reviewing deals involving Amazon, Walmart's Flipkart, Reliance, Walt Disney, and liquor maker Pernod Ricard.

On Tuesday, it was reported that the CCI had reached an initial assessment that the $8.5 billion Indian merger of Reliance and Disney media assets harms competition due to their power over cricket broadcast rights, and had been sent a warning notice.

Earlier this month, the CCI took an unusual step of recalling two reports that detailed alleged breaches of competition law by Apple.

The internal CCI staff memo also warned that disciplinary action can be taken for non-compliance with the rules, adding that they also apply to officers even after they leave the CCI.

The memo cited a 1964 government rule that states: "No government servant shall, except in accordance with general or special order, communicate, directly or indirectly, any official document or any part thereof or information.

Modi’s populism after election reversal puts public finances at risk

After reverses in the general election and facing possible losses in state polls this year, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s coalition has stepped up cash handouts, debt waivers and other freebies, although he has previously criticised the policy.

The handouts by state governments and promises by opposition parties trying to match the largesse threaten to upset the fiscal balance in the world’s most populous nation and disrupt spending on urban infrastructure and other development projects, analysts say.

Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lost its parliamentary majority in the April-June national election and has stayed in power with the help of fickle allies.

Opinion polls predict it could lose provincial elections due in Maharashtra, Haryana, and occupied Jammu and Kashmir later this year, while winning in Jharkhand state, which could further dent Modi’s popularity.

India’s richest state and ruled by a BJP coalition, Maharashtra, has raised its fiscal deficit target to 2.6pc of state GDP for the current fiscal year from 2.3pc in an interim budget in February.

Ruling BJP may lose Maharashtra, Haryana provincial elections, opinion polls say
The latest budget has listed cash handouts for women and free electricity for some farmers that could cost it about Rs960bn ($11.45bn) in total this fiscal year, or 2.2pc of state GDP, according to research and investment firm Emkay Global.

Water, gas dues

BJP-ruled Haryana has waived water dues for thousands of farmers, cut prices of cooking gas for millions of poor families and announced allowances for unemployed youth.

Inflation, unemployment and rural distress emerged as key issues in the general election and surveys show these remain uppermost ahead of the state elections.

“Although doles are not a new phenomenon, it is the prevalence of populist promises in this cycle across the political spectrum that is worrying,” said Madhavi Arora, an economist at Emkay.

“The recent wave of populist spending across poll-bound states could upset the fine fiscal balancing act that had been playing out so far.”

Opposition promises include free power to homes and monthly allowances to women.

Very dangerous for uplift

Modi in the past has decried the practice. “This culture of freebies is very dangerous for the development of the country,” he said in 2022.

“The people following this culture will never build new expressways, airports or defence corridors for you. They feel that they can buy the people by distributing freebies to them. Together we have to defeat this approach and remove the freebies culture from the politics of the country.”

Absence of emotive issues

Yashwant Deshmukh, founder of polling agency CVoter, said politicians would increasingly resort to freebies amid widening economic disparity, especially in the absence of emotive issues like tensions with India’s arch enemy Pakistan which helped the BJP in the 2019 national elections.

“The fiscal consequence of this culture is devastating, but there is a big yearning among the masses for such social welfarism,” he said.

‘Right amount of populism’

Other analysts have said BJP’s main plank of Hindu nationalism, aimed at the country’s majority, is not as effective as it has been in the past.

‘Dedication For Maa Bharti Would Inspire Every Generation…’: PM Modi Greets RSS On Its Foundation Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is dedicated to serving the country as he greeted its volunteers on the historic milestone in the organisation’s continuous journey as it enters its hundredth year.

Lauding the outfit, PM Modi, a former RSS pracharak before he was drafted into the BJP, said the organisation’s resolve and dedication for Mother India would inspire the generations and would infuse new energy in realising a goal of a ‘developed India’.

“The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), dedicated to the service of the nation, is entering its 100th year today. My heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the volunteers on this historic milestone of Aviral Yatra. This resolve and dedication for Maa Bharti is going to inspire every generation of the country as well as infuse new energy in realising a ‘developed India’,” PM Modi said in a post on X.

While sharing a link of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s Vijayadashami address, the Prime Minister urged the citizens to listen to the former’s words. Every year on Dussehra, the RSS chief addresses Sangh volunteers during the event held at the Reshimbagh ground in Maharashtra’s Nagpur.

Government won't compromise on even an inch of India's borders: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday celebrated Diwali with Indian soldiers deployed at the India-Pakistan border in Gujarat's Kachchh and said that his government won't compromise on even an inch of India's borders.

"There is such a government in this country that cannot compromise with even an inch of the country's land," PM Modi said during his address to the soldiers.

"Keeping in mind the needs of the twenty-first century, today we are equipping our armies, our security forces, with modern resources. We are putting our Army in the league of the world's most modern military forces. The basis of these efforts of ours is self-reliance in the defence sector," he added.

Stressing on the need for an Integrated Theatre Command mechanism, PM Modi said that India is fast heading towards achieving this target.

Last month, the Indian military held its first Joint Commanders’ Conference, which saw the three services stress on the need for a unified vision to enhance military integration and synergy and a roadmap being set for the creation of Integrated Theatre Commands (ITCs).

The Defence Ministry is considering the establishment of a China-focused Northern Theatre Command in Lucknow, a Pakistan-centric Western Theatre Command in Jaipur and a Maritime Theatre Command in Thiruvananthapuram. If approved, this would mark the biggest military reform in India since independence, aligning with the ‘one border, one force’ concept.

"Today, India is manufacturing its own submarines. Our Tejas fighter plane forms the strength of the Air Force. Earlier, India was known as a country importing weapons. Today, India is exporting defence equipment to many countries of the world", Modi pointed out.

Earlier, PM Modi was seen offering sweets to Indian soldiers as he celebrated the festival of lights with jawans at Lucky Nala near Sir Creek.

Lucky Nala is a part of the creek channel of Sir Creek. It is the starting point of the creek border where there is a marshy area where carrying out patrolling operations is very challenging.

This area is under the surveillance of the Border Security Force (BSF). This is the area through which drug smugglers and terrorists from Pakistan often attempt to infiltrate into India.

However, the vigilant BSF has been able to foil their nefarious designs every single time.

PM Modi heaped praise on BSF soldiers for ensuring that India's border remains safe and secure despite difficulties, sources said.

The Prime Minister enquired the soldiers about the changes they have witnessed in their situation, tried to find out about the problems they were facing and also is any changes were required to be brought about to make their jobs easier, the sources added.

PM Modi also inspected the creek area from close quarters, stayed there for about an hour before leaving for Bhuj.

Sir Creek is the 96-kilometre-long border between India and Pakistan, over which a dispute has been going on for decades. The Crocodile Commandos of the BSF keep a strict vigil at the border to thwart external threats to India.

Prime Minister Modi celebrates Diwali every year with Indian soldiers deployed at various borders and posts. He has been following this practice ever since he assumed power in 2014.
