[Pictures and Videos] Sarfaraz Ahmed's behaviour as captain

He didn't bat today, his overall record in PSL 7:

152 runs in 7 innings at an average of 38 and strike-rate of 115.15.

Sarfaraz has failed to take Quetta Gladiators into the play-offs for 3 years in a row now. WHY IS HE STILL THE CAPTAIN?

PSL 5: Quetta ranked # 5
PSL 6: Quetta ranked # 6
PSL 7: Quetta ranked # 5

Nadeem Omar to Ramiz Raja "Sarfaraz kee Bari khidmat gain humari franchise ke liye"

sarfraz used to shout at zahid soo much and zahid used to get under pressure.

Zahid Mehmood is playing for islamabad today and he is bowling at a perfect line and elngth. Different atmosphere

with M Harris around, he should forget about intnl cricket. Captain QG as much as he desires, who cares.

Sarfaraz is finished as a PSL Player also, (as well as international a long time ago) its facts. Lucky that he got that 50 winning score against united has his last celebration innings.

However, realistically, he will still, unfortunately, remain wicketkeeper of Quetta and possibly even captain, despite failing for 3 seasons in a row...

One thing PSL needs to avoid doing is becoming a retirement home for non-performing players who get picked season after season. There are too many such players.

Owners need to be ruthless - don't perform, don't get picked.

The problem is this friendship/loyalty business should not affect selection and how teams are run.

Franchises themselves don't seem interested, nor do they do any kind of marketing for their teams and seem to treat their jobs as part-time.

They can hire someone for £10 an hour who can teach them basic marketing better than they're doing right now. Only Zalmi are semi decent at it and even their team was boring this time.

There’s only one way to make owners more ruthless, and that’s by increasing the cash prize for the tournament.

I believe the current cash prize for tournament winner is $450,000, increase that to $1,000,000 and reduce the 2nd and 3rd place cash prizes then you’ll see the owners taking it a bit more seriously.

The PCB needs to come up with a formula where the PSL annual central pool is distributed in accordance with the PSL points table at the end of every season. That is the only way to force the franchises to make ruthless but merit based decisions

Saj is correct It must be the only league in cricket where there are so many 35plus age players

I mean i can easily name a 15 first teamers without thinking too hard

If this carries on instead of the pakistan super league it ll be known as the pensioners super league

Captaining in place of Babar today, Sarfraz and being very proactive and vocal. He's certainly enjoying his comeback

Pakistanis need to be treated harshly. It's the only way to make players perform and mentally strong. Enough of the cakes and reels. Time for a tough captain to get these guys who are destroying our history and cricket into line. Peasants don't understand nice words.

Safraz’s is a bigger loser than Baba since these 2 have come the likes of NZ Lanka are trampling over Pak in there own conditions !!

We don't need this batameez as our captain again. I still remember how he used to publicly humiliate bowlers, and only the younger bowlers, while not saying a word to the senior bowlers. Not to mention, his racist remarks towards the South African cricketer, which brought a great deal of shame to the Pakistan cricket team.

People have gold fish memories when it comes to Sarfraz. People only remember the champions league trophy triumph but they seem to forget what we did under his captaincy for the next two years. We went into the 2019 world cup with a dozen game losing streak in ODIs. We failed to reach the SF of the 2019 world cup. We also lost test and T20 series at home to the mighty Sri Lanka. Not to mention Sarfraz's own pathetic batting form after the Champions Trophy triumph.

He was rightfully removed as captain and Babar doing poorly as a captain doesn't mean we go back to this 35 year old has-been.

The only people who think he has any chance of being captain are same fools who have convinced themselves that they are 'journalists'.

Our cricket is plagued with too much niceness and comfort. You need someone to shake them up.

All this virtue signalling about “oh boo hoo look how he treats his players”. The players weren’t complaining - according to Mickey he was a very popular captain. They might have needed that.

I don’t even think his critics care about the players. It’s more a reflection of this silly inferiority complex people have about themselves. “Oh how will the rest of the world look at us with someone so brazen is our captain”. Get over it.

I remember the 2006 u19 World Cup final. Sarfraz was shouting at his players, his bowlers were shouting at the fielders. They all WANTED to win. Result, they defended 100 in the final. It was beautiful to watch.

I’d rather have that than the cringe pat on the backs with themselves and even the opposition - blowing kisses. What is this nonsense. Be men

Back to basics.

Quetta Gladiators won the exhibition match against Peshawar Zalmi on Sunday by three runs, but it didn’t end without its share of heated exchange on the field.

During the fourth over of the Zalmi’s innings, when Aimal Khan was hit for a boundary by Mohammad Haris, Sarfaraz can be heard verbally abusing his teammate in the background.

Peshawar had raced to 40-0 in just 3.4 overs, and Sarfaraz was visibly upset with the proceedings.
