The ill-focus on this activity could've been better served instead.

Daari nahi to khilari nahin.

What a hogwash!

When you take a fifer and become the first Pakistan offspinner to take a five-for at home since Saqlain Mushtaq in 2000.

The nose is supposed to hit the ground before the forehead
Also the fingers and feet should be pointing in the same direction
Namaz nahi parh raha ground main and i doubt Allah cares if one finger is pointing towards another direction.
Typical mindset.

Noman after taking a fifer against England. INDEED SAJDA IS THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY TO THANKS ALLAH.

Pakistan have earned the right to do as many sajdas as they want for the rest of the year.

You reach a milestone, but you can’t celebrate how you want because some atheist has his knickers in a twist?
Celebrations are not forced. Expressions come from within and vary for individuals.

It is cruel to subject others to this cookie-cut, inorganic "celebration".

That’s obviously wrong, no one’s defending Sarfaraz there.

But a one off incident doesn’t mean everyone that does a sajda is being forced to do so.

A high profile tournament in islamic republic of pakistan.

In holy month of ramzan.

And not one sajda? Surely uncalled for.

Safaraz just reminded him. That’s normal. Shah in the moment forgot about it, after taking a 5fer. Shah himself knows what sajda is and thanking Almighty above is essential after any goodness as such. Humans can forget. So I wouldn’t think otherwise.

How do you know what shah thinks or does?

His relationship with god is private.

Pray tell.
It’s standard how others learn from bigger brothers in the team, or legends of the past. Naseem Shah has done sajda before, am sure. So he knows the drill, but in the moment forgot hence why Sarfraz reminded him. Yes the wordings might have come across differently to you but that’s how Safraz speaks. Btw what’s your issue with thanking God almighty by this such act? Why does it hurt some the non-muslims so much? Really dont get it.

It’s standard how others learn from bigger brothers in the team,
It's a cricket field.

No one has the right to order others how/when to pray to god. It's an intimate relationship.

You just don't force it on anyone. None of your business. Period.

Was Jesus Christ an atheist?

"When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men but when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen.” -
(Matthew 6:5-8)

It's not just atheists even many religious people have issues with prayers because you believe vs prayers just to show off to others.

You think doing the sajda for a couple of seconds is praying namaz lol?

Actually it is to an extent.

Like prayers there are stipulations in place. It is rendered meaningless otherwise.

The person should say Allahu Akbar and go into sajdah. When saying Allahu Akbar the hands should not be raised. While in sajdah, he should say the follow Arabic phase:
“Subhana rabbiyal a'la”. Translation: “Glory is to my Lord, the Most High”.
Muslims can recite “Subhana rabbiyal a'la” at least three times in one sajdah as saying it three times is also the sunnah of Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H). Although there is no restriction and so Muslim can say this 3 times or 5 times or 7 times also in one Sajdah.

He’s a Muslim. His relationship with God can not be private. Worship is a public act.

Dont want to steer this thread so this is my final response.

Privacy in matters of charity and helping people. Prayers and all other acts of worship ( declaration of faith, prayers, pilgrimage & fasting) are public acts.
