Century on test debut type situations, one can absolutely understand.
Namaz nahi parh raha ground main and i doubt Allah cares if one finger is pointing towards another direction. The nose is supposed to hit the ground before the forehead
Also the fingers and feet should be pointing in the same direction

Offensive when some players do it but not when others.Unfortunately some of our posters find this offensive
No one asked.Even I did a Sajda after we won today.
No one asked for your opinion either. No one asked.
Your private life shouldn't be for public consumption.
Even I did a Sajda after we won today.
Didn't Babar perform one after his fabulous 50 today?sajda watch in CT 2025
Who'll be the first?
Did he? I missed it.Didn't Babar perform one after his fabulous 50 today?
sajda watch in CT 2025

Everything has a time and a place. What’s wrong with doing a sajda?
Everything has a time and a place.
Ironically a tournament hosted by islamic republick of pakistan is bereft of sajdas.
Celebrations are not forced. Expressions come from within and vary for individuals. You reach a milestone, but you can’t celebrate how you want because some atheist has his knickers in a twist?

It is cruel to subject others to this cookie-cut, inorganic "celebration".
You reckon it's one-off.That’s obviously wrong, no one’s defending Sarfaraz there.
But a one off incident doesn’t mean everyone that does a sajda is being forced to do so.

How do you know what shah thinks or does?Shah in the moment forgot about it ... Shah himself knows
It’s standard how others learn from bigger brothers in the team, or legends of the past. Naseem Shah has done sajda before, am sure. So he knows the drill, but in the moment forgot hence why Sarfraz reminded him. Yes the wordings might have come across differently to you but that’s how Safraz speaks. Btw what’s your issue with thanking God almighty by this such act? Why does it hurt some the non-muslims so much? Really dont get it.How do you know what shah thinks or does?
His relationship with god is private.
Pray tell.
It's a cricket field. It’s standard how others learn from bigger brothers in the team,
Was Jesus Christ an atheist? You reach a milestone, but you can’t celebrate how you want because some atheist has his knickers in a twist?
hallelujah.[hypocrites] love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men
Was Jesus Christ an atheist?
"When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men but when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen.” -
(Matthew 6:5-8)
It's not just atheists even many religious people have issues with prayers because you believe vs prayers just to show off to others.
How do you know what shah thinks or does?

His relationship with God is private. Worship is also a private act. He’s a Muslim. His relationship with God can not be private. Worship is a public act.
Actually it is to an extent. You think doing the sajda for a couple of seconds is praying namaz lol?
He’s a Muslim. His relationship with God can not be private. Worship is a public act.
Wait. What.Yasir Khan bows down in humbleness as he ace his fifty
Then why have so many Prophets including Jesus Christ warned against public display of worship? Does the all knowing God not know your prayers unless you do it in public? He’s a Muslim. His relationship with God can not be private. Worship is a public act.
And that cannot be done in your heart where the all knowing God knows what you are thinking? We all should show gratitudes to God whenever something good happens.
Allahu Akbar.
Truth be told. Then why have so many Prophets including Jesus Christ warned against public display of worship?
You can do what you want and the atheist and everyone else can also comment whatever they want. Or they can't because they will be lynched by the religious guys. You reach a milestone, but you can’t celebrate how you want because some atheist has his knickers in a twist?
The only people who seem to have their knickers in twist seem to be those who cannot justify why the all mighty God who can see in your heart and know your thoughts still needs you to publically do something so he knows you are grateful.
You should come to Scotland and tell all those footballers who cross themselves that they are going against the teachings of Jesus Christ by showing a public display of faith. I mean you won't last long here. Similar things are done all over the world and no one bats an eyelid, yet a Muslim decides to do a sajda and ignorance abounds. Then why have so many Prophets including Jesus Christ warned against public display of worship? Does the all knowing God not know your prayers unless you do it in public?
The only and only reason someone shows public worship is to show to others who devoted they are. It's nothing to do with real prayer to God.
That may be the case. You should come to Scotland and tell all those footballers who cross themselves
Then you agree there is no need to have these public gestures?Who said the almighty needs you to do something publicly so he knows you’re grateful?
The absolute irony of religious people who literally lynch and kill others for doing something they feel is wrong accusing others of "being offended" is both sad and hilarious at the same time.
It's a personal choice whether someone crosses themselves or does a sajda, only losers with nothing else going on in their lives get offended.

The concern is whether it is obligated. By captain. Of islamic republick of pakistan.People are free to do as they wish, is it obligated in Islam, no.
right but in either case whats the problem. Batters look to the sky when they get their tons. Some take out parchis that say thank you to the red army. These things can be said in the heart too. What about Keshav Maharaj who also does some spiritual gesture before bowling or taking wickets. What about Indian batters that touch the ground before entering it. These things can also be done it the heart. But people do what they feel like in the moment. It is the beauty of being human. It does not need any commenary beyond that. And that cannot be done in your heart where the all knowing God knows what you are thinking?
I will repeat, the only and only reason for public display for prayers (and it's with every religion), is to show others who devoted you are.
It's not genuinely to thank God, if you believe in God, then you believe he knows what's in your heart.
