[PICTURES] Sarfaraz Ahmed squashes rumours of rift with Hasan Ali [Update Post #166]

Yelling at players for midfield is understandable but directing bowlers almost every single ball can be frustrating (for bowlers).

The captain just needs to calm down a little.

But really, watching the video, was that all ?

His side just became number in T20Is!

Even though it is format which requires the least amount of temperament or skill, which is perfect for our volatile side, the rankings, player rankings etc do change every week. So I wouldn't read too much into it. However kudos to them for achieving it abroad and especially in NZ after the disastrous ODI leg.

Yes, that's what this whole fuss is about.

The media has gone a step further and on the basis of this incident, rumours of 'groupings' in the team are spreading. :))

I think all is well between the two. Going by the video, it seems he called everyone after the wicket and gave a pep talk.

Sarfaraz Ahmed squashes rumours of rift with Hasan Ali

Pakistan cricket captain Sarfraz Ahmed has dismissed reports of rift with teammate Hasan Ali during the recently concluded series with the New Zealand.

“The incident that occurred between me and Hasan was sorted out their and then. I went on to talk to him later on, so there is no such rift between us,” Sarfraz said, while talking to the media.

The incident took place during the second T20 against the New Zealand, where Sarfraz walked up to Pakistan’s top bowler Hasan, after the pacer was hit for a boundary as the hosts chased 202, only for the seamer to ignore his captain and continue walking back to his mark.

The incident got caught on camera and invited debate among the cricketing circles.

The skipper and former number one One Day International bowler would now be seen in the upcoming third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), schedule to begin from February 22.

That should be the end of that then. All is well it seems. Although Sarfaraz does need to tone it down. Showing anger after something major like an awful misfield is fine but screaming after just 1 bad ball is too much.

Just hope that Hasan Ali doesnt mention this incident in his book...

There was no rift to begin with. Just a minor disagreement which has been unnecessarily hyped.

The media has overhyped the whole thing beyond proportion. First of all we don't even know whether it was a serious fight to begin with. Second of all, even if it was an angry moment, i doubt it was something that would have lingered on for more than 5 minutes, these sort of things happen between family members, friends and even spouses but that doesn't mean they dont get over it in a couple of hours, days

Seems that Babar v Rauf clash has some precedents also!
