Lahore, 03 April 2025: The first and unique ‘Sahulat-on-the-Go bazaars’ of its kind will be established in Punjab. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has given in-principle approval to establish ‘Sahulat-on-the-Go bazaars’ project.
The Chief Minister chaired a special meeting in which a briefing about ‘Sahulat-on-the-Go bazaars’ project. She sought a plan for establishing ‘Sahulat-on-the-Go bazaars’pilot project at 14 various locations in Lahore.
The CM has set a target of four months for the establishment of this pilot project. Government land will be used on the sides of the road for establishing ‘Sahulat-on-the-Go bazaars’ project. 816 stalls will be set up in Lahore under the ‘Sahulat-on-the-Go bazaars’ pilot project.
The meeting was informed that the project will be established on the Multan Road, Hanjarwal, Manga Mandi, Raiwind, G-1 Market, Faisal Town, Moon Market and Bedian Road.
Areas comprising E-Millat Road, Gulshan Ravi, Shahdara, Shadman and Singh Pura are also included in the project. In the Sahulat-on-the-Go bazaar, food items and essential edibles will be available at uniform cottage-top shops surrounding the roads.
Special arrangements will be made for a clean environment and security in the ‘Sahulat-on-the-Go bazaars’ project. The meeting agreed to launch ‘Sahulat-on-the-Go bazaars’ project in every tehsil of Punjab.
Chairman of the Punjab Model Bazaar Management Company Muhammad Afzal Khokhar presented a report to the Chief Minister on the model bazaar. She expressed satisfaction over the setting up of model bazaars during the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed satisfaction over the arrangements during her surprise visit to Services Hospital on Wednesday.
The chief minister visited various wards and the emergency department of hospital where she inquired about the treatment of patients.
Maryam Nawaz also interacted with the young patient and prayed for his speedy recovery.
“I am leaving Services Hospital quite satisfied. The actions taken at Mayo and Jinnah Hospitals led to significant improvements in the health sector,” Maryam Nawaz said.
The chief minister said that the medicines were available in huge stock in Services Hospital and she didn’t get any complaint during her visit.
“It is my job to remain active in the field for the betterment of my people,” the chief minister said.
She added that the government is providing free medicines in all the public sector hospitals.
The chief minister urged the patients not to give any money to get medicines in the hospitals.
Earlier, Maryam Nawaz had made a surprise visit to Jinnah Hospital, where citizens voiced their complaints.
In response, she ordered the immediate suspension of Principal Asghar Naqi and Medical Superintendent Dr Kashif.
During her visit, the CM inspected the hospital’s medicine store and expressed anger over patients being deprived of medicines despite their availability.

Punjab launches drive to enforce Rs37,000 wage for workers
The Punjab labour and human resource department has launched a campaign to implement payment of minimum wages of Rs37,000 to (unskilled) workers serving at all kinds of establishments in the province.
The labour department says the department will also approach media organisations and private schools for the payment of minimum wages to all their employees.
“The labour department has registration of some 1.2 million workers but the department’s mandate is to ensure that every employee working in a factory, shop, restaurant, workshops or any other establishment must be given minimum Rs37,000 per month wages,” says labour department secretary Naeem Ghaus.
He said the labour inspectors had been instructed to visit factories, shops, restaurants, workshops and other workplaces and challan the employers, who were found not paying minimum notified wages to their workers, besides ensuring occupational safety, health, hygiene and a conducive environment. “Those found violating the minimum wages orders will be challaned and submitted to courts, which can hand over six months imprisonment or Rs50,000 fine or both,” the secretary said.
Mr Ghaus said it was mandatory for all employers at all workplaces to pay a minimum Rs37,000 per month wages to their employees, even unskilled. He said the department was also working to get employees registered who were not registered with the labour department by their employers. He said the labour department wanted to ensure the payment of minimum wages at media houses, but it lacked capacity issues, including a lack of human resources. He also acknowledged that the department knew that private schools were exploiting employees and not paying even minimum wages to faculty members with graduation and post-graduation degrees.
The secretary said the department would soon present a plan to the chief minister to increase its human resources to fulfill its duties effectively. Citing capacity issues, Mr Ghaus said the department had 20,000 registered organisations to monitor with only 150 labour inspectors in the province. He said the chief minister would be requested to sanction more posts in the labour department to ensure implementation of its policies and government instructions.

Brother, you're going about this the wrong way. When I first posted the thread, I approached it calmly and showed them respect—but they all ganged up on me. It was only when I matched their energy and got aggressive that they started backing off. Now they avoid me from half a mile away.

Kisan Card: Maryam Nawaz approves Rs 15bn for wheat farmers
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved Rs 15 billion for farmers of the province under the wheat support fund under the Kisan Card programme, ARY News reported.
The Wheat farmers will be given direct financial support through Kisan Card. The Punjab government termed the package as the ‘first unique, exemplary and unprecedented’ in the history of the province for the wheat farmers in Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif also announced an exemption from paying irrigation/fixed tax for the wheat farmers during the current year. Under the package, a free storage Electronic Warehouse Receipt (EWR) facility will also be provided for four months to protect wheat from climate change effects and farmers from market pressure.
It has been decided to implement Electronic Warehouse Receipt (EWR) system in the province. The farmers storing wheat under the Electronic Warehouse Receipt (EWR) system will get an electronic receipt. “Within 24 hours, this receipt can be given to the bank to obtain a loan up to 70 percent of the total cost.”
