This number 3 delusion will also end in tears and his supporters will die on this hill too.

These “stats” that they are flashing are firstly, based on a small sample of 10 matches only and more importantly, if you exclude that one innings vs Bangladesh, he averages 16 at a SR of 132.

That is a true reflection of his caliber, not the one flash in the pan knock which he isn’t good enough to reproduce at least consistently.

He is simply an awful player regardless of where he is batting and he should be kicked out forever after this Asia Cup.

Worst keeper batsman ever. I wanted him to succeed but it appears that he isn’t cut for international cricket.

Lmao. This reminds me of a big mouth who, when asked in an interview whether Azam should try losing weight to become a better player, answered something like, “He is what he is and can’t change much.” Azam Khan could definitely try shedding a bit, but instead, he’s just getting heavier and heavier. That guy should have never played for Pakistan. It was pure corruption and a forced selection.

If he had 3-4 quality knocks at 3 in those 10 digs, you could make a case that he does well at that number. However, since he has failed pretty much every other time apart from one little cameo vs SA, it is obvious that he struggles at that number too.

He is just an extremely poor batsman and changing his position will not change that. He shouldn’t be playing in international cricket at all.

Saim, Fakhar, Farhan, all have huge sample sizes yet have also proven themsleves ti he flash in pans?

So have Travis Head, Finn Allen and many others. That's how t20 format typically is.

Those that are consistent happen to be the best t20 batters of all time (Warner, Kohli, KP, Gayle) lol.

Haris sample size is much smaller then these guys.

The only players who have proven to be somewhat consistent in t20 atm have been hasan Nawaz and Agha.

The rest have been flash in pans lol. This isn't odi.

Fakhar has a few good knocks in 2021 and 2018 round about 2-3. Farhan has 2 so far, Saim has 2, Haris has 2.
 
Haris is biggest fraud to play international cricket after Sam constas. Both are Gully Cricket Level player :kp

He looks slightly better built than Yuzi chahal lol. Credit to him that he is hitting sixes with that body. Against pace he can use the pace. But against spinners he has to generate the speed. Bat speed can get you only so far.
 
Haris is a curious case. He never merited his place in the team. Not at the U19 level, not as Shaheen’s captain and not currently as the poster boy of brainless cricket trusted by team management at no. 7.

Welp. Looks like Rizwan will be back by the next World T20.

Even if he does come back though , he shouldn't bat in the top order at least.

We should have backed him at no.3. Not saying he’s incredible but if he was playing we could have given him those chances.

The door has now shut after this match. Even seeing how Mohammed Nawaz performed I think Haris is going to be demoted to no.7 permanently.

Has to embrace it. I think that was his last chance for a while up the order. Probably now has to focus on becoming a better keeper and a slogger at the end. He could honestly do that role but he blew a big chance for his career today.

I'm fine with many such comments to a certain extent. It is an Internet forumn and people say things online sometimes out of frustration, when they dont actually mean it and it doesnt reflect their true nature irl, so its okay, I dont judge.

Problem is that comment wasn't made out of frustration, he genuinely wants Haris to die, He should realise wishing death on someone who has never done you any harm( He hasnt even met haris irl) is genuinely considered a crime in virtually every religion on earth, and a crime in general granted in social media era such words aren't moderated.

UAE fielders has saved the Haris career otherwise Today loss ( if they have taken catches) would have end his career :kp
 
To cap his batting perfmances, finishes theatch with missed stumping. Been saying for long time Pakistan are wasting investment on him.

I have said multiple times , Haris does nt have batting skills to succeed at International level. We get to witness that in every match. Yesterday he was promoted up the order. Did nt change anything. Obvious is becoming more obvious. Guy cant play quality Spin

I understand that right batting positions bring best out of Players. But looking at these numbers , its hard to believe that he qualifies as a batsman. Any player who considers himself as batsman or half decent batsman would be ashamed looking at these numbers. Batting position does nt excuse these horrible stats.. Put meek cricketer like Babar Azam at 7 he will limp to better scores than this.. Heck even Naseem Shah would be doing better

Haris just needs to score some 15-20 runs down the order to prove his worth and so far?? He has been pathetic... A senseless player with zero game awareness and no technique.

Should be dropped for the final and then for asia cup also.

Buttler didn’t become a better batsman, he was always good.

His stats were low because he was used mostly as a lower order hitter, just like Haris.

Buttler was then pushed up as an opener and was averaging 40+.

If you’re going to play Haris, he has to play in the top 3.

Butler had all the shots and technique to succeed as an opener. Harris doesn’t.

I called him a hack but I agree that hacks put away the poor deliveries at least. Haris doesn’t even do that.

Some folks have said that a 35 off 30 (a typical Riz innings) hurts the team more than a 2 off 4 (a typical Haris innings).

Some present his stats at no. 3 as proof of his suitability to that and ONLY that role.

Some say he should get a run till end of t20 wc.

Whatever their reasons, folks are willing to give Haris a lot of room to come good.

Haris averages 10.44 in 9 innings as opener with a strike rate of 109.30. That is more than 1/3 of his career

At no.3 10 innings 254 runs 28 runs @161, 5 single digits. One century. Majority of his runs came against Bangladesh on road pitches in Pakistan. At Mirpur he made 4, 0, 5 at no.3 position. This is why you should think twice before comparing weak muscled, short statured hack like Haris with bonafide white ball legend like Buttler.

lol how come a batsman completely become useless if he bats out of his position? i have seen plenty of batters batting at different positions in the order.. none of them looked this bad. The batting position does nt excuse the horrible stats Harris has at number 6.. you would think if a tail Ender played 66 Balls in 11 Matches he would score around 80-90 Runs 😂😂 and this dude is even worse than tail ender at 6

He will get Asia Cup continuance since it is too late to pivot but if he still fails it is time for a change.

Might not be worst idea to bring Shadab back as a specialist batter. It doesn't look like his bowling will ever recover but we know he has capability to play disruptive shots off intl bowlers.

In this day and age any slogger can have a day out. They are hoping he comes off in some important match. Looking at reaction of fans they believe he is the best available wicket keeper batsman in the entire country. So i suppose he will play till world cup.

So, because other batsmen can play in other positions that means Haris should be able to do so as well?

How about we play a batsman in a position where he would have more impact in, we might as well not play him if you’re going to use him as a lower order hitter.

again this is absurd justification

if he is being asked to bat at num 6 , that means he becomes a walking wicket? cant he do bare minimum at 6? a normal batsman who knows how to hold a bat would do bare minimum at any position. would nt he? whats this walking in at 6 and completely looking at sea against spinners? and look worse than tail ender holding a bat. if i knew how to bat , and somebody asked me to bat down the order out of my comfort zones , and i come up as a walking wicket , i would nt call myself a batter

Everyone wants to bat at top trying to take advantage of Fielding restrictions. We disliked babar and Rizwan because of their selfishness they did exactly that.

The highest bat average was 40 by a UAE batsman.

The issue with Babar and Rizwan was that they weren’t making use of the PP. This is based on their performances all around the world.

I will judge Haris the batsman in whatever position he comes in when he plays in SENA.

not everyone struggled. Saim has a fifty.. Fakhar has fifty and good contribution today as well. Farhan gave us good start in first Game. Agha was good in first Game and even in final he managed to hold one end and smash Rashid again for 2 Imp sixes in context of game. Nawaz has a fifty.. Muhammad Nawaz gave imp contributions in every game. So from top 7 almost everyone had match winning knock except harris.. and i talked about him doing bare minimum let alone win it for Pak. If he even did bare minimum i would nt be talking about him like that

He already played in NZ.. you want to see him in other three as well? not lot of players get that luxury of chances in every continent before getting reckoning
 
If a mediocre player like Faheem Ashraf is still in team after 8 years of failure , why not persist with a potential match winner for bit longer and try to fit him in a top order .
