Actually David warner has stellar record at the Dubai pitch. He has the most sixes on this ground in T20 internationals.

Rizwan has more sixes than MS Shahzad which is surprising because he was a monster . Especially against minnows

I am a Rizwan fan because he has performed for Pakistan and won us many T20I games. He is the best wicketkeeper in the country and the only opening batsman who has proven himself in this format, while others have failed. I support Rizwan because I truly care about Pakistan cricket and I know our team has a much better chance of winning with him than with anyone else in his place.

Back in the day, I supported Rizwan because I believed he would do better than others and he proved me right. He performed for years and even became the T20 player of the year. Yes, he’s had a dip in form recently, but he is still a far better option than any of the current wicketkeepers or opening batsmen. I can guarantee that none of these other players will achieve what Rizwan has, both as a wicketkeeper and as an opener in this format. InshaAllah I’ll be here, and you can remind me of this if you ever find a proper replacement for Rizwan in both roles. The sooner people accept this, the better.

This is exactly what it comes down to. Either people want Pakistan to win by selecting the best players or they are so consumed by their hatred of an individual that they will accept complete mediocrity in his place. Rizwan is the best wicketkeeper batsman in Pakistan right now. It is not even close. Therefore he should play. It's not about supporting individuals. It is about supporting what is best for the team.

No, but you don’t want RizBar back.
No I don't want them back. Frankly I was sick of Rizwan in particular and his high and mighty ways along with ramming everyone with his overt religiosity.

I am all for trying new players and when one has been proven to be a complete hack as is the case with Harris then they need to move on quickly to someone else.

Next please.

This whole thing about me being a diehard Rizwan fan only started because a poster here kept targeting Rizwan and his supporters. From there it turned into back and forth nonsense. Naturally, if someone is unfairly targeting you or a player who performs game after game, you’re going to defend him. Then it became silly banter, with accusations that I support a player but not Pakistan. That’s nonsense. Who would ever want their team to lose? Who enjoys getting thrashed by India and then humiliated further when their players show no sportsmanship and don’t even shake hands? Nobody.

Honestly, I was praying today for Haris to somehow pull off an innings and hit a few out of the park, but deep down I knew he would flop with the technique he plays with. Still, I would love nothing more than to see Pakistan beat India in the next game, even with these weak batters who can’t even handle lower ranked teams. At the end of the day, I just want my team to win. No matter how Rizwan and Babar compare to other top players in the world, they are still the best we have, and we stand a much better chance of winning with them than with this current lot, who don’t look like proper batters for any format.

Spot on brother.

Yes, he may not be ideal for this format, but he’s still the best option we have. Would Pakistan have won today if he and Babar were in the team? Hard to say, there are no guarantees in this game, and India is clearly the stronger side right now. But compared to the current lot, our chances would have been much better.

The value of senior players is that they can absorb the pressure in big games, which allows others to play with more freedom. Against tough oppositions, you need experience and players who have been there and done it before.

Many people downplayed our T20 World Cup win against India a few years ago, saying RizBar only pulled it off because it was “in their range.” But the fact is, they did it without losing a single wicket. And now, with all the players we have, we can’t even manage a hundred runs against them.

Only Azam Khan seems a WK which can bat in middle order with good SR and dominate spinners . Hope he sorts his head and fitness .
Harris is a hit miss player definitely not a number 3 . Number 3 should be solid.

Mike Hesson very rightly pointed out that the biggest obstacle towards him implementing his aggressive attacking cricket vision for the team in the limited overs team will be outside noise. One major defeat against an Indian side which is the best T20 team in the world at the moment and is perhaps India's best ever T20 side and already the critics are demanding Babar and Rizwan back in the team.

Lol at Azam Khan sorting out his fitness, he hasn't done in the last 5 years when he has been active in the T10 & T20 leagues worldwide where they are willing to accept his mediocre fitness, why is he going to do it now?

Just look at his Instagram profile and it's filled with pics, videos of eating out at restaurants, fast food places or hanging out with his family showbiz friends. Azam enrolled in one of top gyms in Karachi with a famous celebrity fitness trainer. You can take a horse to water but you can't force him to drink it. Azam has no real passion or desire to play for Pakistan

That is the sad part . We lost sharjeel also due to such brainless lifestyle

Haris so far hasn't been convincing

If he continues to play like this he has to be dropped

Disagree. If fans want the Pakistani players to follow an aggressive see ball hit ball approach, then they will have to tolerate failures along the way. What Hesson needs to do is to sit down with Harris and counsel him on shot selection and game awareness ie there are times when he has to respect certain bowlers, properly defend the really good deliveries and only go after the really bad ones.

Pakistani fans do not want see ball hit ball approach like Saim or Haris demonstrated., but select ball to hit approach. Atleast play few balls calmly to judge swig, pace , bounce etc, especially when batting first , the pitch would not had dried yet.

What a load of apologist nonsense.

They are not getting bashed for losing. They are getting bashed for showing zero intent vs India.

Had Pakistan scored 170+ and lost, or came out swinging and got all out for 127 in 13 overs, they wouldn’t be getting bashed.

However, Pakistan batted a full 20 overs and scored 127 only.

The reason they scored 127 was because Shaheen was swinging for the fences which he alway does and has nothing to do with the mythical mindset that Agha and Hesson have implemented.

It is very clear that all this talk of a new batting style and new template is nothing but a load of hogwash. It is easy to talk about it in press conferences but it is a different challenge to actually go out there and do it vs top opposition.

The whole narrative around dropping Babar and Rizwan was that they play outdated T20 cricket, so what brand of cricket are we playing right now?

After making big claims about intent and aggression, who bats for 20 overs in 2025 and scores 127 only on the shoulders of a decent tailender swinging his bat? The pitch excuse died a quick death too because India knocked down the total in no time.

After making big claims about intent and aggressive mindset? Who scores 160 vs Oman in a T20 game in 2025?

What was the point of dropping Babar if his replacement is going to score 29 in 29 and 40 in 44?

It is abundantly clear the this whole new template and style of cricket is a myth because our batting has not improved an inch. We have simply replaced Babar and Rizwan with inferior players.

This straw-clutching excuse that please give them time etc. doesn’t work because it has nothing to do with time. It has nothing to do with improvement or results. It has to do with intent.

Showing intent takes no time. It shouldn’t have taken this so-called new modern team any time to score more than 160 and 127 vs Oman and India respectively after batting a full quota of overs.

he seems like a very good keeper. At Rizwan level. But his batting is like a no.11 swinging bat in red ball minefield conditions in tests when all hope is lost. That’s my best description from what I have seen . How is he a better option than Rizwan lol.

But you still need range to tackle various angle, various length. Watch Tilak's 100 in SA. He literally peppered the entire ground with 4s and sixes.

They are doing themselves no favors by going at 5-6 RPO every single game, that too after losing half the side for less than 100 runs.

This is literally what RizBar used to do, so this whole thing about playing modern day cricket is falling flat.

Need to walk the talk or the criticism will always be there for this team.

I concede. You win Major Sahib. @BouncerGuy @Nikhil_cric

He has a couple of weaknesses that need to be worked on.

He still has the highest T20 ceiling amongst all your batsmen.

If he is going to play in the top order, the issue is his inability to counter away movement. Averaging 9 against away swing/seam movement this year.

He generally gets tied up by decent spin bowling as well.

He can destroy fast bowlers off a good length which nobody else can in that lineup including Saim

If he can make a slight adjustment or two to open up the offside , I think he is your best possible top order T20 batsman.

The shock phase is over. Momin has received a software update. I am no longer edgy, angsty or mean.

I am now calm, diplomatic and reasonable. I have taken a deep breathe. Breathe in, breathe out.

Now that I am relaxed 😌, I am here to tell you one thing, Haris Man of The Tournament.

#EndTheJinx , Conceding is not in my nature. Why concede when I have already lost every prediction imaginable. As the saying goes, Try Try Try Again. :vk2

How long will it take to make those adjustments???

How many games he needs??

Also @BouncerGuy @Nikhil_cric

I am now back, im happy to announce that my tv is on and today I will watch and comment on everything.

You better watch out my eyes are peeled and glued to the screen today

Depends. Does your team's analyst know this is how he is being targeted ? Or is he at least smart enough to figure it out himself ?(unlikely)
I don't have a team anymore, software is updated.

I just have one goal #EndTheJinx

If Haris fails my next goal will be Aus vs NZ matches. If that fails, the next one will be India vs WI. If that fails then India vs SA. And if that fails then Ashes where I want both Root and Steve Smith to perform.

No point in predicting the winner as Aus will stomp. But root and smith performing is good enough.

If that fails then 2026 t20 wc, and then 2027 and then wtc 2027.

As Captain Anerica once said, I can do this all day.

This goes for you as well @BouncerGuy .

Man jo Bhi, Haris us not the long race horse, kabhi kabhi chale ga , against minnows and not such crucial games. Either way let him play all the tournament before we hold final verdict on him, but so far so bad with exception of inning or two even those innings he was not entirely secure looking.

Ahhh my next challenger. Welcome and join @BouncerGuy , he needs all the help he can get. Nothing will change Haris Man of the tournament.

Man of the match in one game and India feared him and required their best ever bowler produced all time to get rid of Haris.

That speaks volumes of his ability and fear that he induces within the opposition.

Haris bats worse than a tailender. Honestly, I’m sure even Shaheen and the others can do a better job with the bat than him.

You forgot. He is the best #3 in Pakistan history. He would have scored a 27 ball hundred today if Pakistan played him at his best number.

Haris just scored a fifty at number 3, but let’s be real, it came against a weak, minnow level team. The management themselves know he still can’t be trusted at that position, otherwise they wouldn’t keep moving his batting spot around, even after that knock. Deep down, they realize dropping Rizwan for this clown, who can neither bat nor keep, was a massive mistake.

In press conferences, they just say whatever will fool the fanbase, and sadly it works. Most of our fans don’t actually understand cricket. Instead of learning when someone tries to explain, they argue blindly, cling to their points, and never admit they were wrong.
