But that should give him more time to catch the ones he has caught.Just a little criticism that I had since the England tour in 2020, he stands too far back. This has a duel impact- some catches don't carry and it deflates the bowler

I don't believe his ODI career is lackluster. He's performing admirably across all formats. Just take a look at his statistics which clearly speak for his achievements.Another unlucky dismissal today. That's 4 out of his last 4.
He is batting sublimely but when will he capitalise on this form?
So far his ODI career has been underwhelming and these returns should actually be pretty disappointing for him.
What about the ones that don't reach him because he is too far backBut that should give him more time to catch the ones he has caught.
I don’t think his ODI career is great and he can do better. But the guys advocating for Sarfraz, Kamran etc., Rizwan has better batting stats despite underperforming and far better keeping. We were told as a fan base to accept worse keeping for their batting. Now the keeping is way better, and we don’t accept the better keeping for similar (or better) batting? Doesn’t make sense.I don't believe his ODI career is lackluster. He's performing admirably across all formats. Just take a look at his statistics which clearly speak for his achievements.
He proberly standing that far back due to what pace the pakistan bowlers are bowling at.I haven't seen many catches drop short unless you have ?What about the ones that don't reach him because he is too far back
I have seen a few and in England it was obvious and I think some of the commies have realised thisHe proberly standing that far back due to what pace the pakistan bowlers are bowling at.I haven't seen many catches drop short unless you have ?
Without a helmet batsmen feel slightly unsafe and the same happened with Rizwan while running as he was trying to avoid getting hit by the ball.
none of them suitable to open an inning.. i will go with Abdullah Shafique along with Imam...Fakhar vs rizwan for opening![]()
Babar won't change his winning 11 until that winning 11 losesnone of them suitable to open an inning.. i will go with Abdullah Shafique along with Imam...
Mornie Morkel on bowling to Rizwan in the nets in today's press conference:
"Rizwan asked me to to bowl a couple of balls with a tape tennis ball to him for that extra bit of swing and that's a way that I can serve the team; I think for me it's always important to bring your knowledge to the fast-bowlers but also what can I do to make this team go a little bit better, how can I help them to prepare slightly better and if that means that you know I have to bowl a little bit in the nets it's good fun for me, it's good fitness and then there's a couple of Legend Leagues also around the corner so I can maybe get a gig there!"

@mominsaigol seems like quite a knowledgeable poster so I have no idea how he can make such an outlandish statement
Oh, this was my first post, I wanted to see reactions and opinions from others. I don't believe he's the worlds best, I wanted to see what posters thought since Ik many believe Kohli is below Babar and Rizwan truly is no 1 and an ATG.@mominsaigol seems like quite a knowledgeable poster so I have no idea how he can make such an outlandish statement
Here's the thing as well. Anytime I have analysed something, 90% of the time I am proven right.@mominsaigol seems like quite a knowledgeable poster so I have no idea how he can make such an outlandish statement
He ain't the best but he is mighty effective and his innings today against Sri Lanka is a prove of this.Seriously? Rizwan best batsman in the world? What world would that be?
He did well, tbf the pitch became easier to bat on but that doesn't discredit his performance today. He ain't the best but he is mighty effective and his innings today against Sri Lanka is a prove of this.
Massively underrated?I feel that Rizwan went from being overrated by Pakistani fans to massively underrated.
He’s a good wicket keeper. He has incredible bat speed, solid reflexes, and grit. His game certainly has some technical deficiencies which become really evident when he’s trying to score quickly near the end of innings but he’s the best we have. And he’s the best wicket keeper batsmen we have had in a long time.
For last 2 years or so, I will say Jos ButtlerMassively underrated?
Who are the top 10 keeper bats in the world in total honesty?
So right now, Rizwan is number 2?For last 2 years or so, I will say Jos Buttler
Rizwan
De kock
rishab pant I guess should be in the list as well.
Yes for me he the there in the top 3. He has been brilliant in whiteball format in recent times. I will keep him on my list for sure. What do you have in mind?So right now, Rizwan is number 2?
Isn’t that overrating him?
You’ve seen mines. It’s pretty honestYes for me he the there in the top 3. He has been brilliant in whiteball format in recent times. I will keep him on my list for sure. What do you have in mind?
Top 5 include which players? You’ve seen mines. It’s pretty honest
He doesn’t make the top 5
He for sure isn’t a better keeper+batsman than Butler, DeQock, KL, Conway, KlaasenTop 5 include which players?
Honestly considering his stunts he pulls regarding drama bazi with faking injuries, running between the wickets like a suicidal monkey, and always having issues with the side screen, he will make one hell of a bollywood actor.
How?In ODI he still needs to prove his worth but in T20Is, he stands out as one of the top batsmen.
But currently he holds a higher ranking than all those other 50+ batsmen in the T20I rankings. How?
I could name you 50, if not 100+ better T20 batsman than him across the globe
He's in excellent form and perhaps in this World Cup he could score more runs due to the pitches being highly suitable to his batting style.Cricketing talent around the world needs to go down to its absolute nadir before someone like Rizwan becomes the best batsman.
He is a good batsman, nothing more.
In ODI's this is his first good year and here too he didn't have much impact.
I think he has definitely improved in odis considering he used to avg in 20s last year, he has had a good year but mostly faced second string attacks, failed in Asia cup which was the most important tourney of this year till now. He's in excellent form and perhaps in this World Cup he could score more runs due to the pitches being highly suitable to his batting style.
But you acknowledge that skill and ability wiseBut currently he holds a higher ranking than all those other 50+ batsmen in the T20I rankings.
Skill and ability matter when you perform ‘when it really matters’Skill and ability will only matter when you perform consistently. If a player is performing consistently but has an unorthodox style then I will prefer that player over that player who has the skills and stylish shots but is never consistent.
Impact & Imam don't go hand to handI think he has definitely improved in odis considering he used to avg in 20s last year, he has had a good year but mostly faced second string attacks, failed in Asia cup which was the most important tourney of this year till now.
I dont think he will be a big factor this world cup, Fakhar,Imam and Babar are the threee batsman whoch I think will make the most impact, Chacha might play a couple of impact knocks too
How many times more they need to be exposed? Three back to back tournaments aren't enough?InshaAllah there will be an even balance between bat and ball
And the frauds exposed in this year’s World Cup
He fancies NZ bowlers tbfWell We'll see how rizwan performs in the warmup game tmr again 1st string NZ
As many times as it takes. Those who will not see the light, will never see it. But the truth needs to keep manifesting, and justice will InshaAllah prevailHow many times more they need to be exposed? Three back to back tournaments aren't enough?
Theirs a whole world cup to be played, a match against Australia warm up is also coming up. To be completly honest I'll be sad if babar stick to the formula In a game where stat padding isn't applicable and all 15 players can play.He fancies NZ bowlers tbf
It’s the others that expose him
Ik this is a late reply, but when rizwan use to bat at 6 or 7 he was a complete and total failure. If Rizwan tameez se batted at 6 or 7 I wouldn’t have a problem with him. We need a better no4. A proper batsman, not a glorified late order hack
For last 2 years or so, I will say Jos Buttler
Rizwan

Nearly all countries have 2 or more keepers better than RizwanThere are at least 5 WK batsmen better than Rizwan in India alone.
Not just in India but Pakistan too. Sarfraz, Haseebullah, Azam Khan and Haris are all superior to him with the bat by some distance too. In fact I'll go off a limb and say that if Rizwan Hussain, Zeeshan Ashraf and Mohammad Akhlaq all got the backing Rizwan did than they would end up being superior to himThere are at least 5 WK batsmen better than Rizwan in India alone.
Those 3 teams you mentionedIF he is AS good as his supporters claim, should be easy to prove in this World Cup when it matters.
Truth is Babar and Rizwan are so used to feasting on 2nd string attacks that they might actually struggle in this World Cup.
Obviously Netherlands, Bangladesh, Afghanistan might offer them a chance to stat it up.
Only disagree with Carey, the rest I agree with though.Nearly all countries have 2 or more keepers better than Rizwan
England: Butler, Bairstow, Salt,
South Africa: DeQock, Klaasen
Australia: Carey, Wade
New Zealand: Conway, Phillips, Siefert
Bangladesh: Mushfiq, Liton Das
Sri Lanka: Mendis, Kusal Perera
India: Rahul, Pant, Samson, Kishan
I am 100% convinced all of these guys are better than Rizwan in the art of Keeper/Batsman
Don’t anyone try tell me they are not and Rizwan is actually one of the best in the world!
Carey is perfect for his role and won’t cry to the media to bat in Smith or Labushagne’s positionOnly disagree with Carey, the rest I agree with though.
If you're talking about roles then that's fine. But in terms of batting he's clearly the weak link of the Australian batting line up.Carey is perfect for his role and won’t cry to the media to bat in Smith or Labushagne’s position
A guy who knows his role and shuts his mouth
That’s not trueI
If you're talking about roles then that's fine. But in terms of batting he's clearly the weak link of the Australian batting line up.
Not sure about BD & Afg. BD has quality pace with Shakib, Afg has an army of spinners who will come for blood. Considering their recent showing against these two attack I wouldn't be too confident of a top notch knock from either of the guys. Apart from Ned, there's simply little to no room for these two to feast & statpad.IF he is AS good as his supporters claim, should be easy to prove in this World Cup when it matters.
