This Narain guy is clearly chucking. Suddenly, some balls he's throwing with speed. I wonder how BCCI is allowing him to bowl in the IPL. ICC should take action against him.

What a great player

This guy didn’t play a single game in the 7 match T20 series against Pakistan, but his aura was as such that he still invoked fear watching from the sidelines!

Kolkata Knight Riders 223/6

Rajasthan Royals (20 ov, T:224) 224/8

RR won by 2 wickets (with 0 balls remaining)

RR needed 70 off 30 balls with 4 wickets remaining

Ashwin and Purel made a big mess of this whilst Butler lost his flow batting with them.

You can’t send these types of players to bat at 5 and 6

How the hell RR win this one? When ever I watching they're losing wicket so i stopped watching and they won lol .

Sending Ashwin was a good move actually (didn't work today but still they won).. they back themselves chasing 80 in last 5 overs with Hetty & Powell..

Rajasthan Royals pulled off the Indian Premier League's biggest run chase to beat Kolkata Knight Riders by two wickets on Tuesday. Asked to bat first, KKR rode on Sunil Narine's 56-ball 109 to post 223/6 in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, RR were in all sorts of trouble at one stage but Jos Buttler blasted his way to an unbeaten 60-ball 107, as the visitors completed the chase in the last ball of the match.

After his team was asked to bat first on a fresh pitch, Narine blazed away to a 49-ball 100 to lead KKR's charge in this top-of-the-table clash at Eden Gardens.

It was a one-man show from KKR as Narine (109 off 56) batted till the 18th over, first stitching 85 runs with Angkrish Raghuvanshi (30) and then adding 51 runs with Andre Russell (13).

However, Buttler had other ideas as he did the job for RR from an extremely difficult position.

Belief of chasing down any total has increased recently. Nothing to do with pitch. Mindset of players have changed. They break down the innings 3 or 4 parts and set mini goals and make sure they reach there. THen they go from there.

Jaiswal massive flop which i don't worry about. He gifted his wicket every time. No problem him failing in IPL.

15th over - 17 Runs
16th over - 17 Runs
17th over - 16 Runs
18th over - 18 Runs
19th over - 19 Runs
20th over - 9 Runs

96 Runs in last 6 Overs

What a fabulous run chase that was by RR.

You should always have a West Indian hitter down the order for a quick act of bringing down the RRR. They play 10 or 15 balls. But they are mighty effective. But real reason they won the match was they were ahead of the rate in the first 8 overs. That is why they could be slow in the middle phase and still catch up.

This is the magnitude of Buttler's achievement

Addressing the media in a pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Delhi Capitals' head coach Ricky Ponting explained the team's approach for the game against the Gujarat Giants:

"We will structure our batting order tomorrow to make sure that we've got the right batsmen against their spinners in those crucial middle overs of the game. The batsmen are well aware of the skill set that they'll need tomorrow to take on this Gujarat side. We are just looking forward to the contest."

"David Warner did have an X-ray after the last game. That X-ray came back all clear. But he's got a lot of swelling around the knuckle on his left hand. We'll give him a fitness test tomorrow morning, and keeping our fingers crossed that he's okay."

Cricket lovers raise alarm over IPL ticket shortage

Cricket lovers who didn’t get tickets for the past two IPL matches held in Hyderabad, have accused local sport body Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRHO administrators and the ticketing agency PayTM of being non-transparent on the sale and distribution of tickets and complimentary passes. There are only five more ‘home’ matches at the Uppal stadium. Desperate cricket lovers, especially youngsters, wonder how tickets get sold out within minutes. According to reliable sources, tickets and complimentary passes are given to celebrities, government officials and influential personalities to shore up their relations or are sold through black market.

M. Pavala Kumar complained that the doors are closed for them but the back doors are always kept open for influential persons. “It seems that getting an IPL ticket is even more difficult than getting a passport,” Pramod Kumar, another cricket lover, said. He said cricket fans are disappointed because neither HCA, SRH or PayTM are addressing the issue. “We lost hope, as we did not get tickets for the past two matches. If the government does not look into the matter immediately, spectators like us and the general public will not get tickets for the next five matches,” Pramod said.

He believed that there was a lack of coordination between HCA and SRH and Paytm, which is the ticket issuing organisation, is taking advantage of internal conflicts at the cost of cricket lovers. According to a former HCA member, HCA and IPL organisers used to disclose the details of the ticket sales but had stopped the practice. Deepak Reddy says online tickets get sold out within 15 to 20 minutes on Paytm.

“Only influential persons get ticket passes delivered. Or else, they enter the ground by warming the hands of officials who issue tickets,” the sources said. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, former HCA secretary Shesh Narayan said, “I met Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, along with MLA G. Vinod. We represented to him about the non-availability of tickets for the general public, and requested the government’s intervention.”

Bhatti said he wuuld discuss the issue with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and resolve the issue, Narayan said. He also demanded that the government stop the sale of bulk tickets by HCA, SRH or PayTM. “The sale of bulk tickets as corporate boxes is leading to a shortage of tickets. So the government should link the sale of tickets to Aadhaar cards,” Shesh Narayan said, adding that he requested the state government to conduct a judicial inquiry into the shortage of tickets. HCA secretary Devraj said, “we have nothing to do with the sale of IPL tickets, it's SRH and PayTM that are involved. SRH gives us 3,900 tickets for every IPL match and we distribute them to the staff, selectors and some others. We do not sell the tickets.”

31/2 vs Rajasthan Royals, 2022

Delhi Capitals secured a comfortable victory over Gujarat Titans in their IPL 2024 encounter in Ahmedabad. Chasing a modest target of 90 runs, DC reached the target in just 8.5 overs with 6 wickets to spare. It was a clinical performance by DC, who opted to field first and restricted the Gujarat Titans to a mere 89 runs.

Gujarat Titans suffered a significant batting collapse, resulting in their lowest-ever IPL total. The former champions struggled throughout their innings, with Rashid Khan being the top-scorer for GT with a 24-ball 31. Apart from him, only Sai Sudharsan (12) and Rahul Tewatia (10) managed to reach double figures. This batting failure surpassed GT's previous lowest IPL score of 125.

Mukesh Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for Delhi Capitals, finishing with figures of 3/14. His impressive bowling performance played a crucial role in restricting Gujarat Titans to a below-par total and setting up an easy chase for DC.

How about a Best Indian XI based on performances so far?

Abhishek can come as opener. Kuldeep can be another spinner and couple of new pacers doing well. Our pacers have been extremely inconsistent in IPL except for Bumrah.

Without Travis Head it is an incomplete team! Proven trophey winner (that is the most important aspect more than anything!) SRH might well win this time just due to this factor! Others in his team have to just do a decent job, he will take care of the rest!

IPL 2024 FIXED? Four Suspected Bookies Arrested From Rajasthan Royals’ Home Stadium And Wankhede

Match fixing in IPL allegations are back as four bookies have been arrested. The bookies – two of were picked up from the luxury boxes at the Sawai Mansingh stadium during Rajasthan Royals game versus Delhi Capitals on March 28 – and the other two were picked up from the Wankhede stadium. All the four suspected bookies have been handed over to the police for questioning. The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) of the Indian cricket board (BCCI) tracked down the four bookies.

The bookies prefer it because they get the access to cut down on time lag that comes from live broadcast, known as pitch-sliding, to make profits through illegal betting. It is strange that betting is illegal in the country, yet it happens to be the biggest market of cricket betting in the world.

This particular incident raises a lot of concerns. First, how are passes being allotted to luxury boxes? It would be interesting to see the findings after the questioning by the police. This is not the first time that bookies have been nabbed. In the 2021 IPL, bookies had reportedly got hold of an accredited cleaner at Delhi’s Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium to do pitch-siding before the ACU apprehended the man.

Spot Fixing in 2023: The league was rocked with the spot-fixing scandal where a few Rajasthan Royals players were found involved in the racket. A few players were also handed bans following the incident. S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan were arrested. Eleven bookies were also arrested at that time.

IPL 2024 continues to be a nightmare for most bowlers, with batters enjoying unprecedented success in the tournament so far. KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir has echoed these comments while speaking on a program on a local Indian media outlet:

"If a manufacturer cannot produce a ball which can last for 50 overs, might as well change the manufacturer. There's nothing wrong with changing the manufacturer. What is this compulsion with only using the Kookaburra?"

Kookaburra has hardly any seam like Duke, SG balls. Those balls allow reverse on aberrated surfaces. This is why Test matches way way harder in India to play compared to Limited over.

Mindless slogger ishan gone :misbah
The ball was there to be pumped for a six. But he hits it straight to the fielder.

Don't understand the hate for Kishan. He may get out cheaply. But he does not waste deliveries and if he plays for 25 balls, you can expect a 50 from him.

People dont fault Ishan for lack of intent, they rightly take issue with his shot selection.

Rishab Pant's S/R is 126 in T20I's.
Sanju Samson is S/R is 133.

The other Keeper Batsmen are not exactly lighting it up in T20I's either.

You have to see how batsmen score when they play anything close to 30 deliveries. More often than not, Kishan lights it up if he plays over 25 deliveries. He is a bit of lottery at the top. When he clicks, he will give rapid starts. Most countries would love to have a keeper batsman like Kishan.
