Does Fizz go play meaningless series against Zimbabwe now? BCB useless cricket board.
Yea. He is representing one of the most famous franchise in the IPL history where he has to bowl death overs against batting beasts in a noisy cauldron. There is no better preparation than that. MSD has speical interest in him and Pathirana.

Pathirana has been very good this year with 147-150K yorkers.

Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad missed his second successive IPL century by a whisker, while pacers Tushar Deshpande and Matheesha Pathirana decimated the Sunrisers Hyderabad batting as Chennai Super Kings won their IPL home game by 78 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday.

After Gaikwad scored a 54-ball 98 and shared a 107-run partnership with Daryl Mitchell (52) to give CSK a healthy 212/3, Deshpande (4/27) and Sri Lankan Pathirana (2/17) came up with match-winning bowling figures to dismiss SRH for 134 in 18.5 overs.

Deshpande took the wickets of opener Travis Head (13) and Anmolpreet Singh (0) in his first over before getting rid of Abhishek Sharma (15) and captain Pat Cummins (5), while Pathirana got the dangerous Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen to demolish SRH.

Delhi Capitals (Playing XI): Prithvi Shaw, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Abishek Porel, Shai Hope, Rishabh Pant(w/c), Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Rasikh Dar Salam, Lizaad Williams, Khaleel Ahmed

Kolkata Knight Riders (Playing XI): Philip Salt(w), Sunil Narine, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer(c), Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Mitchell Starc, Vaibhav Arora, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakaravarthy

DC needs to kick out both this Porel guy and Shai Hope.

Porel is a total hack and Hope is hopeless.

They don't have a good squad to begin with.
I am sure there are better batsmen in domestics. Porel is brainless. Tries too much and looks like a clown before getting out.

I have never seen Hope any impactful T20 innings. He is too slow for this format to begin with. On top of that he does not have the range of shots to succeed.

Delhi Capitals 153/9

Kolkata Knight Riders (16.3/20 overs) 157/3

KKR won by 7 wickets (with 21 balls remaining)

Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bat against Kolkata Knight Riders in their IPL 2024 match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Another failure for Captain Rohit. Other than that 1 century in losing cause, Rohit has flopped miserably in this IPL. One of the primary reasons for MI's miseries.

Why umpire gives that wide lol.. there's big noise and big spike as well.. poor umpiring..

Another failure for SKY too. If their form continues to T20 WC, India will exit pretty quickly.

Lol look like mayank might not get to boel today . And he's my captain of my fantasy xi

Batsman didn't play that delivery and the ball deflected on hemet and take a leg bye.. is that run allowed?

MI, what a pathetic team.

Rohit and his fans has single handedly destroyed the entire team with their child like antics at the beginning of the tournament. They are on a downward spiral and they cannot recover from it.

First time crr over 6 after 3 overs (86 in 14.1 overs).. now again crr under 6..

Harshit Rana Fined 100 Per Cent of His Match Fees and Suspended for One Game for Breaching IPL Code of Conduct

Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Harshit Rana has been fined 100 per cent of his match fees and suspended for one match for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct for his actions during the Indian Premier League (IPL) clasha against Delhi Capitals at the Eden Gardens.

“Rana committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” IPL said in a statement.

“The player was earlier penalised under the same level and article of the IPL Code of Conduct,” the statement added.

Rana was earlier fined 60 per cent of his match fees after he gave a flying-kiss send-off to Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Mayank Agarwal in KKR’s first home game.

On Tuesday, Rana outfoxed Abhishek Porel with a full-length delivery, rattling his stumps and proceeded to almost offer another flying-kiss send-off but gestured his hand towards the dugout.

Rana will now miss KKR’s next match against Mumbai Indians in an away game on Friday.

PBKS triumphed by 7 wickets against CSK

Jonny Bairstow (46) and Rilee Rossouw (43) guide Punjab Kings to a clinical 7-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings. The two batters made the chase a cakewalk for Punjab. Meanwhile, Shashank Singh and Sam Curran took the team over the line with two overs to spare. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a fighting 62-run knock to help Chennai Super Kings post a challenging 162/7 in 20 overs. Rahul Chahar (2/16) and Harpreet Brar (2/17) spun their web to trouble Chennai Super Kings batters in the middle overs.

Chennai Super Kings returned to winning ways in their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad after two successive losses to Lucknow Super Giants; on Wednesday, they prepare for another tough test, as they meet the unpredictable Punjab Kings in a crucial encounter. With both teams eyeing a crucial win to propel them up the points table, the stage is set for a thrilling showdown at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

CSK will be up & down in league matches, but once they get into knockout stage they will turn into beast mode (Just like Australia, Brazil.... The yellow connection!) So better to put them out in league stages itself! This same Punjab team (chicken team like RCB) will be bowled out for less than 100 runs in a knockout game against CSK...

This is the only year supported CSK. They about to be out in league stage. Hope to see Chahar, Despande, Fizz, Pathirana in knockout games tho.

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals, 50th Match

Sunrisers Hyderabad opt to bat

Rajasthan Royals (Playing XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson(w/c), Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Rovman Powell, Shimron Hetmyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal, Sandeep Sharma

Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Anmolpreet Singh, Heinrich Klaasen(w), Nitish Reddy, Abdul Samad, Shahbaz Ahmed, Marco Jansen, Pat Cummins(c), Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan

SRH's spin bowling coach Muttiah Muralitharan hailed his side's power-packed batting approach. The legendary cricketer compared SRH's style to Sri Lanka's 1996 World Cup-winning approach. Speaking to the IPL's social media team:

"I think we did it in 1996 when Sanath Jayasuriya and Kaluwitharana won the World Cup. So that kind of a brand they played, it is open to everyone. Now when we started, everyone has started."

That's an excellent (his) 2nd over from Ashwin.. both openers lucky to survive that over..

Avesh Khan gets a wicket in first ball.. Abhishek Sharma gone.. big wicket..

Nitish Reddy playing a gem here. He can bat in Top 3 and can open the bowling too. A genuine all rounder.
