I will give him 3 games. cannot be selecting a player who was the top wicket taker in domestic cup after comeback and just discard him after 1 game.
 
Has there been a bigger disappointment then this era of pacers “ Shaheen, Naseem. Hasnain and Rauf” all four had immense raw talent but had the heart of a mouse no desire to focus and improve their skills and fitness and longing to earn easy pay cheques in low quality leagues.

I hope the next generation of Ali Raza, Awais Anwar, Jahandad and others can be better managed and show more desire to play and excel in red ball cricket .

He won’t perform lol 😆 he ain’t international player. Just a domestic player who can always perform in small leagues. Suits his style ???? What happened in 1st Odi I didn’t see anything suiting his style. He was easy to be picked for 6 if you watch his wrist lol

Bouncer on bouncy pitches can actually help him get some wicket.
 
you gotta like him bowling today. He bowled a good channel so far. Some freebies but he did well.

Got wicket of smith as well.

He was alright. Getting the big wicket of Smith was significant especially after the pasting Smith gave him.

I would still prefer Aamer Jamal in the ODI side over him.

I don't know it's odd with speed in Australia. I think everywhere in the world speed are slightly different because of pitch, ground and speed gun calibrations.

But in Australia even Cummins was hardly bowling at 140s and Starc never really getting that 145+. Bowlers speed were not consistently high except for Rauf in his fiery spells maybe. Even Shaheen's speed in the first spell in the Australian Test tour and this ODI tour has been around 133KPH. In Pakistan it was more around 135KPH

I would rest Nasim or Shaheen for last game and play Aamer Jamal while still playing Hasnain. I am not in favor of playing 4 bowlers in white ball format makes tail very long. In sub continent once fully recovered Mohmmed Wasim would be a good option also with reverse swing he gets.
 
Detecting whether a fast bowler is chucking doesn’t need to be overly complex and can actually be quite straightforward with the right visual cues. If a bowler's arm rotates smoothly from about the 5 o’clock position until the point of release, it should remain fully straight. However, if there’s even a slight bend at around a 60-degree angle and you notice a distinct jerk from that position until release, it’s a strong indicator that the bowler is chucking. In Hasnain’s case, his right arm isn’t heavily built, which can sometimes make it appear bent on screen even if it isn’t. Examining his action in slow motion should make it easier to determine whether he’s genuinely bending his arm or if it’s just an illusion caused by camera angles and his arm structure.

While it's encouraging to see Hasnain attending a speed camp in August 2024, Pakistani fans must ask the following questions:
  1. Why did the video from the camp emphasize that Hasnain has a “unique” bowling action that only appears to look like chucking? If his action was cleared two years ago, why does it need this much explanation?
  2. Why did the fast bowling academy focus so heavily on explaining his muscle mechanics in a way that seems to suggest something might still be wrong with his action?
  3. The video also mentioned that Hasnain’s run-up was slowed down to address previous issues where his fast approach disrupted his steps at the crease. So why did he struggle with his run-up in the first ODI against Australia, an issue that even the commentators noticed?
  4. If there are issues with his action or run-up, shouldn’t these be resolved fully before he returns to international cricket for Pakistan?
In previous matches, Hasnain used to hit around 145 kph from his first over, but in the first ODI against Australia, he started slower and only gradually built up his speed, which hurt his line and length. Although he bowled better in the second ODI, something still seemed off. While we hope his action is sound, if it isn’t, Pakistan cricket can’t afford to invest in another bowler at risk of a ban over his action.
 
How well is this guy bowling today. 5 overs 17 runs and 1 wicket.

He got his revenge against Stoinis for that allegation in BBL of chucking...

You are right everyone is 3-4 km slower especially the Pakistanis. Either it's to do with the hardness of the grounds or the guns are not calibrated the same
 
Bowled better in last two games but the zip is not there for both him and Naseem . Naseem was better today but against a better batting side both will get exposed

His chapter needs to be closed now. He wasnt great when he was bowling 145 clicks. Now he has lost pace and is still erratic.

he is not an international level bowler.... giving him chances again and again wont make him Pat Cummins.
 
Sydney Thunders has announced their 14-member squad for the upcoming game against Hobart hurricanes in BBL 2025 and Hasnain has been among those names.

I think Stoinis will be unhappy seeing him again in BBL...LOL

Mohammad Hasnain is in action for Sydney Thunder in match 37 of the BBL 2025 against Sydney Sixers.

His team is batting atm but let's see how he performs with the ball when the time comes.

Just like zahid mehmood I am convinced Husnain is playing on sindh quota. This should be the last of him.
 
He is in the league of his own uselessness
He should simply stick to t20 leagues

A bowler who ho gets unsettled very easily. Unfortunately, it seems to be a personality issue. Doesn’t come across as a strong nerved individual.

I don’t see any chance of him having a career of note. Just doesn’t seem to have what it takes
 
Hasnain is a Mohd Sami part two. Easily wilts under the slightest bit of pressure. PCB and Pakistan Cricket have invested 5-6 years in the guy and very little return. Other bowlers in domestic cricket would have easily solidified their spots in the team by now.

He doesn't even have 10% of the talent sami had. Husnain is pretty rubbish.
 
His release needs to change. He would be well advised to look at what happened to the great Kepil Devs wrist in the gather. At no point does the ball get hidden and the batsman can follow from the gather to release

He's worked with a top notch bowling coach in the UK. If he cannot improve further then no one can help him.

Send him to me. I will sort him out. I don't know if anyone understood what I meant by the Kepil Wrist at the point of gather but he needs it.

That's no excuse to be bowling full tosses or not knowing where your next delivery will go. A bowler should be able to land 6 balls on the same spot. This is not just a Hasnain problem but a problem with all our bowlers who are T-20 mercanaries and don't play enough 4 day, first class cricket and that has hurt our Test match/ODI bowling standards. The bowlers just search for that glory ball and when the pitch offers nothing, they don't know what to do to restrict the run flow.
 
This has been the story of his career, he will have one good match but then he will follow up with 5-6 performances where he looks very ordinary and frankly speaking a school level operator. This is what happens when you decide to focus only on T-20 Cricket and don't bother getting sufficient first class experience under your belt.
 
Gotta feel for him.. he's only given the ball when there's no other option. The pressure can't be too good for his confidence. Give him a role i.e. first change, death bowling and give him plans. Can't just give him the ball and hope he delivers
 
Can someone please share a clip of that no ball he bowled.

That has to be the ball of the millennium. Cricket was created for such deliveries!
 
He needs to get his money back from that "speed camp". I couldn't believe my eyes seeing that he was bowling as low as 133 kph.

When he first came onto the scene he was bowling around 150-155kph. After the ban, he was still hovering around 140-145kph.

This is disappointing and sad to see.
 
Husnain has exhausted all the chances given to him, has shown no improvement in years, should be sidelined for good and new bowlers should be tried, cannot be worst than him. Hope Akib Javed will replace him on Saturday.

Husnain is playing on Zardari quota , Faheem is in for Nawaz Sharif quota , Chacha is out being on KPK quota.
