The other day one of the Shehzadi (female fan of Shehzad) tagged me on twitter with an image full ofcaptions all over it telling how great the Legend is and his records and blah blah and guess what instead of Lahore "Lion" they mentioned Lahore Lines as his team in FBT20 these fans of shehzad hardly have any idea of real cricket.

But I do feel more for Shehzad here, he's seems an easy punching bag. Ever since that blow on the head against NZ he doesn't seem the same player he was (no doubt has flaws which have never been rectified).

I do think though he doesn't do himself any favours with his social media antics. Needs to give that up and work really hard on his game.

Unfortunate incident that has blown out of proportion in the heat of the game, should never have got physical and ideally should be warned and heavily fined.

Before that blow he was still averaging under 35 at a strike rate of 75 in ODIs. Even then he was a very inconsistent player and in his glorious one year in 2013-14 he didn't cross the 40 average mark.

Can't rotate the strike to save his life and plays a litany of dot balls upon dot balls all contributing to minimal contribution and hurting Pakistan cricket.

It's funny how this head injury excuse has been brought up by Shehzads crew in the last couple of months when even the most blind Shehzad fan could no longer sing his praises with a straight face and as his position in the international side became untenable by the day to the point where even Afridi couldn't save his place. The claim is not based on any fact whatsoever. In fact Shehzad scored a century in one of his first games back from the injury in an ODI against New Zealand in December 2014. His record before and after the injury has remained largely similar and so has his inconsistency and flaws in batting.

I knew it, you couldn't answer which batsman was setting the Pak team alight yet you remember Shehzads failings but seem to forget his good knocks including a number of centuries. That clearly shows your bias against him.

He may have limited shots but please tell me which Pak batsman currently has an an array of shots ?? The point again that Pak domestic cricket is not producing anything substantial. A worse hack like Khuram Manzoor gets selected.

Please don't try to insult my intelligence that the blow to Shezhads head is an excuse to hide his failings. I have watched the game over 2 decades and I know that a blow to the head the damgage it may do. It's just a theory, never said it was certain but just a feel because his timing is not as it once was, especially offside shots.

Whatever his technical failings nearly every Pak batsman has them because domestic cricket is in dire straits. Tell me the day something substantial is being produced (Babar Azzam is decent but still far too early) because there are too many hacks with rubbish footwork. Too many Shehzad haters. This thing started with Nawaz incident then on twitter Shehzad liked a picture against Wahab. And Wahab clearly said few things to Shehzad when he got him out which made Shehzad say things back and showed his bat then from different video angle Wahab actually put his head on Shehzad first and seemed like a headbutt then Shehzad put his hand forward and gave a little push and Wahab pushed him with both hands.
Had so much respect for Wahab but his attitude in this PSL been appalling. He thinks he is untouchable.
He gets hit by young players and can't accept it and goes to their face and starts shouting expecting them to just respect his bowling.
He got hit by New zealand henry and Mclegan last month they are tailenders and they hit him sixes and he said nothing.
Where was aggression when Chigumbara smashed him in last over few games back. Just picking on easy targets.

Hope Wahab and Shezhad both get a ban for today you cannot go physical on cricket pitch. Words are fine but physical is too much.

Either of them can be fatal if used in a physical fight.

On the Wahab and Shehzad incident, I think it was a really good piece of cricket from Wahab. Held his nerve, usually his go to ball under pressure is thumping it down half way, opens up a lot places to be hit or edged. Instead he bowled a slower one. A few days ago, I was questioning this very aspect of Wahab's bowling.

Shehzad wasn't in control at any level.

As for the 'jhagra', think it's good for the ratings. Maybe it was suggested somewhere ... In a lot of other leagues, a lot of this kind of stuff looks 'staged' to me.

Its a good sign if a young batsman is stat conscious, shows he's an intelligent human being who probably uses stats to figure his and opposition bowlers game out. Hafeez is the biggest stats man in the team.

Just saw the video in the OP. This looked ugly, worse than Kohli-gambhir fight at Bengaluru few seasons back.

Whatever the reason may be, it wasn't right of Wahab to physically provoke (a case of manhandling?) Shehzad. Shehzad seemed a tragic figure (with everything that's happening in his professional life) out there and honestly felt bad for him.
