We have a Test series before that Australia one, so we can debut him there. I don't think anyone can eat him alive, he might knock over some Aussies though.
Mohammad Amir was very new when he toured Australia for the first time and took a 5fer in that series at the age of 18 against one of the strongest Australian batting lineups, he is still playing in our team.
Mohammad Amir had been performing superbly for 6+ months leading up to that Australia series. You can't compare Hasnain to Amir at that time who was seen as the second coming of Wasim by so many at that point. I'm sure you have forgotten what happened the last time in Australia Warner and Smith beat down on our bowling attack Sohail Khan and Imran Khan haven't been seen since and even Wahab has barely played since then. It would be immature to select a bowler due to their pace and only pace against Australia. It's not like they struggle against pace.
Plus that 5fer your talking about against Australia was largley due to the fact Australia was way ahead in the game and they were looking to accelerate. Amir went 0-100+ in the first innings. Further that was Australia of 1998-2003 that was the greatest team of all time. In 2010 their best and most in form player was Watson. Simon Katich, Nathan Hauritz, Brad Haddin, Micheal Clarke (at that time) were no world beaters. And even Ponting at the end of his career was in horrid form from 2009 onward. So that leaves Hussey and Watson only two guys who were in good form. Don't know how you can call that one of the strongest Aussie batting line-ups ever. Even Aussies would laugh at that statement.
Plus pitches even in 2010 were still ok for bowling in Australia at times you'd get pitches like the the green wicket in Sydney. Amir was selected for his ability to swing the bowl and his control. He had the ability to crank it up 145+ at the time but that's not the reason he was selected. Like I said you'd be foolish to select an 18 year this early in his career against Australia in Australia against guys like Warner and Smith.
Plus your out here talking about Hasnain like he's Shoaib Akthar give the kid some time to develop instead of throwing him under the bus right away against Australia. I'll take Wahab 140 with Reverse Swing and experience in Australia any day over a young raw pacer who can bowl phast bowls at 150 for a couple overs. Further you don't even know how long Hasnain can bowl 145+ for his average speed hasn't been different to Wahab in ODI's bowling 150 in a T20 and and Test match are much different. The average speed of Wahab wouldn't be much different too Hasnain in Tests. Even Wahab can crank it up above 150 if he's bowling a few overs.
