PM Imran Khan's letter to Muslim leaders to collectively counter Islamophobia in non-Muslim states

You should pray that China does depict abusive cartoons of the Prophet PBUH, then the Muslim leaders around the world bluff will be called. As it is, already there will be questions being asked in Muslim countries why it is Iran, Pakistan and Turkey who have objected and all the gulf Arab countries who have strong trade ties with France are relatively mute.

There is no bluff to call really. Most of the Muslim leaders don’t care and mind their own business.

That is why Imran has been snubbed time and time again over Kashmir.

The likes of Erdogan are nothing but hypocrites who have committed worse crimes against Muslims than someone like Macron, and Imran is a fake defender of the ummah who does not have the courage to call China out.

Seems you prefer Macron as a leader over Imran Khan and presumably you would agree with his stance on projecting obscene images of the Prophet PBUH on govt buildings as well. I acknowledge your stance and there is not much more to say really. Have a nice day.

Pakistan condemns Nice attack

Pakistan’s foreign minister has condemned the killing of three people in the Nice knife attack.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi addressed reporters Thursday after leading a rally in Multan to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad.

He said that Pakistan is “against any such incidents and we condemn violence wherever it happens.”
Qureshi congratulated about 1,000 rallygoers for peacefully expressing their love for the prophet.

Anti-French protests took place in Pakistan this week after Emmanuel Macron defended the sharing of images of the founder of Islam.

It's highly unfortunate that Imran Khan couldn't utter a word of condemnation and condolence over the killing of a teacher by someone who saw himself as a Muslim and was inspired by Islamic history and fanaticism. I could not find any such on his twitter account, which he so regularly uses. If he did so on another platform please do share it.

Just like the meddling of western powers in the affairs of Muslim countries has caused the rise of violent Islamist ideology and groups, likewise the repeated act of violence on European grounds by people proclaiming to be followers of Islam has led to this "Islamophobia" Imran is concerned about.

Western leaders are not willing to acknowledge the greater damage done by their constant interventionist policies.
Islamic leaders are not willing to acknowledge the role Islamist fanaticism plays in the rise of "Islamophobia".

Before Imran Khan thinks about reaching out to the Western world, he should consider reaching out to those who are fueling the Islamist fanaticism and sitting in his very own backyard.

He should also reach out to the "sizeable Muslim population" in Europe and explain how by living in a secular and non-Islamic country, the local value systems has priority over their personal value system.

Also, tell us how long we ignore such incidents?
What are you gonna do about it? Millions of Sanghis showered abuse against Arman Nawabi when he came with caricature of Kaali. And what happened then? He came up with more. Religions would be ridiculed in this internet era and you can’t do nothing about it other than ignoring it

Any responses from Muslim states to Imran's letter? Could someone please collate them together in this thread?

Mehdi just burned Imran

Imran won't even know who he is, let alone give him the time of day. Mehdi is the one chasing Imran around with his "Look at China! Look at China!" swerve. He's become the Uncle Tom of Islamic spokesmen.

Imran does not have to know him. I dont think he was ever a spokesmen for anyone. He is right there though.

To pretend to stand for human rights and then ignore the ones in your own backyard and to ignore a genocide across your border.... Better to just stay silent.

No, its not better to stay silent.

Did you ask modi to keep quiet when he supported freedom of speech in France in his tweet when in his own country there is no such thing?

I would even vote for imran khan, as the other choices are horrendous . However he is wrong on this particular issue.

I am pakistani , not indian

Okay. But the point remains. Why cant a person speak about one particular issue if he isnt speaking about the other? Do you know how many issues are there in the world? Must we talk about every single one whenever we decide to speak?

Not every single issue, but the two issues are of the same nature

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Sunday urged the nation to stand united to thwart the designs of enemy forces that were bent upon creating unrest and instability in the country.

Addressing the concluding session of three-day 708th Urs of Hazrat Shah Rukan-e-Alam here, the foreign minister said anti-Pakistan elements were trying to create economic stagnation in the country through their geostrategic agenda.

Qureshi said, "Many forces don't want to see prosperity in Pakistan." He urged the masses to defeat the nefarious designs of the enemy by forging unity among themselves, adding that the growing trend of Islamophobia was dangerous and poisonous for peace and declared that unity was the need of the hour.

Qureshi maintained that Pakistan had a very important geostrategic position in the region. He said many forces were persecuting innocent Muslims in Kashmir and Palestine.

Qureshi said the neighbouring country Afghanistan was facing a difficult situation, adding that sustainable peace in Afghanistan was not only a desire but a top priority for sake of regional peace. He said stability and peace in Afghanistan would mean stability and prosperity of Pakistan.

He said Pakistan has invited foreign ministers of Muslim countries for holding a comprehensive discussion on Afghanistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan for the prosperity and lasting peace in Afghanistan.

FM Qureshi said, "We have relaxed visa policy for India." India had banned visa for Zaireen and deprived thousands of pilgrims from Rajasthan of an opportunity to join Urs ceremonies this year too. He said everyone should follow teachings of Sufis to live a successful life.

Qureshi said coronavirus had not only affected the economy of Pakistan but the whole world, adding that people had to stop performing Hajj and Umrah due to the deadly virus and consequent restrictions.

He prayed that may Allah Almighty grant the world a quick relief from the coronavirus. He lauded the district administration for making exemplary arrangements during the Urs.

This whole PTI government is hellbent on nurturing illiteracy, ignorance and backwardness among the masses by promoting Sufis and spirituality at the expense of science.

SMQ says if we follows Sufis, we would be successful. This is pathetic! What have Sufis given us apart from fairytales of bringing people back to life, teleportation, diving into the graves of their followers and talking with angels and conducting miracles. Sufism is fake, disgusting and anti-science.

While the rest of the world is marching towards outer space and experimenting with nanotechnology and robots, Pakistan is reversing full throttle into the dark ages!
