So off we go into a format which based on our PSL exploits should be one our guys will be able to dominate - or will they?

India just beat a stronger Eng team with our 125kph trundler Bhuvi so I expect the 150kph Hasnain and Shaheen to absolutely bury this weak English team.
Only if you are a no-hoper like Varun Aaron. Any half-wit should be able to bowl to a decent standard if he has the pace that the Pakistani pacers are claimed to be bowling at.The faster you bowl, faster it gets dispatched to the boundary in T20.

“We are in close contact with Yorkshire regarding today’s abandoned fixture. The club are doing everything possible to ensure that the upcoming IT20 match against Pakistan can go ahead and based on current information we are confident that it will be able to take place.”
My concern is a 6-0 series defeat across the 2 formats.
I hope it doesn't happen, but the way Pakistan are playing, this is a possibility.
If Sharjeel and Fakhar open, 3-0 Pak
Did you not watch England B team whitewash us?
Pakistan lose when they’re expected to win, Pakistan wins when they’re expected to lose.
Also, we’re much better in T20’s than we are in ODI’s, the shorter the format the better we are.
When was the last time Pak whitewashed any of the SENA countries? They were white washed by SL C team though a year ago. Lost a match to Zim and struggled to victory against SA B sides.
2016 vs England
So you consider a victory in a one-off t20 as a whitewash. Fine, if that makes you happier. Though I was asking a minimum of 3 match series as you predicted 3-0.
2018/19 - 3-0 vs Australia
2018/19 - 3-0 vs New Zealand
Now what? Minimum 4 T20’s?
Well then lets root for a 3-0 then and forget the recent struggles against SL, ZIM and SA-B.
1 down 2 to go.

Well the bubble has been bursted. Looks like England may win this 2-1.
Old Trafford is Pakistan’s den, we beat them last time thanks to Sharjeel and Khalid Latif, hopefully Sharjeel gets an opportunity.

There are many issues that need to be addressed:
1) Usman needs to replace either Shadab or Imad. even replacing Haris will not be a bad option.
2) Fakhar needs to open as he can take advantage of powerplay. By doing so Rizwan can come in middle order and take on the spinners.
3) Fakhar and Sharjeel opening would be ideal but knowing Misbah it will never happen.
As for beating them at old trafford last year sometimes results can be misleading. In that team there was no Jason Roy, Buttler, Livingstone (Stokes too but Stokes isn't available this time too so lets no discount him). The batting lineup this time is much stronger as compared to then.
In the last match played at Old Trafford in 2020 Haider Ali played a good knock who isn't available this time and Hafeez played a blinder but he has been woefully out of form since PSL.
So going by past records is misleading.
Both imad and shadab play as 2 all rounders.qadir is a better spinner than both but he doesn't have the batting ability.
2-1 England. Pakistan to sneak one on a track that slows.
Imad and Shadab are just handy with the bat and not match winners. If they come to the crease with 50 runs required they will more often than not fail. Add to that the amount of runs they would leak. If pakistan depend on them to finish the game then they will lose. But qadir can be a wicket taking option.
The ideal XI for pak is this in my opinion:
Sharjeel
Fakhar
Babar
Rizwan
Hafeez
Maqsood/Azam Khan
imad
Nawaz/Qadir
Arshad iqbal
Hasnain
shaheen
Sharjeel and fakhar opening combo can be as dangerous as Jason Roy & Buttler if not better. Even if one of them tees of they will take the match away. hafeez and maqsood/azam khan can act as the finishers. If the openers fail babar and Rizwan can both consolidate as well as carry forward the momentum.
Since its a decider I dont think this Pak team has the mental ability to handle the pressure. More importantly Misbah and co are so averse to changes and will play Shadab and rauf. Unless they play out of their skins this is England's match to lose.
