He was handed a golden chance today. Probably the only way he can get back into the pak team, is as an opener

Completely fluffs it and selfishly wastes a review which probably has cost Fahkar as well (not to excuse Fahkar’s dumb shot)

You can call it negative rubbish if you wish, but this season is the straw that broke the camel's back as far as I am concerned. Moreover, the fact that people can be delusional enough to find this good quality cricket is even more disheartening.

As far as religion is concerned (it is off-topic, but I would reply out of courtesy), I struggled it for years, but I finally found solace in the fact that a big part of religion is nothing but blind faith, and I think blind faith can be beautiful at times.

There is no logic in religion because it is illogical to begin with. That is why I am bemused to see people proving that their religion is better than someone else's religion, even though the only reason they follow a certain religion is because they were born into it.

If the shoe was on the other foot, they would be defending the religion they are criticizing now. I was confused about religion till the stage of my life where I had not embraced the fact that I - along with billions of people - am guilty of believing that cannot be logically and rationally explained.
 
I feel like this is going to be a thriller. Comedy of errors is the order of the day.
 
Sohail Akhtar is some clean hitter, looking forward to his batting. Hopefully he will win it for Qalandars.
 
Agha will get lbw or bowled with that technique.

forget about the call. just look at the way he was dangerously playing the sweeps from the word go. it's only 120 to chase and you already know your team can collapse. at least he should have sense to play with more straight bat. problem is his off side game has gone non existent in all these years he has been away from the team so he lines up anything bowled by spinners or pacers to the midwicket. perfect sign of sloggers. it's shame because he used to have such a good offside game as well.

Off side game is touch game, because you can't put power of bottom hand, unless it's a cut. Hardly any PAK batsman has offside game because of these wickets in UAE and home.

The point is, you can only enjoy what is there and think positive about it. Problem for PAK is that things don't move and next year we might again see Misbah to bat at 4 & Sami taking new ball, with Tanvir winning a Gold contract. But, there has been positives as well.

I am actually not at all surprised - for last 7 years, I have said that UAE is the worst place for PAK cricket, that wicket is just not for flamboyant free scoring players, neither for fast bowlers or quality spinners. It's just getting worse and PCB won't shift from UAE either, because there is honey for them in UAE. The slogging that you watch in BBL - bring those "hit through the line" batsmen here, most BBL teams will struggle to play out 20 overs. May be they'll slog their way to 130, in 16/17 overs all-out. Batsman's basic instinct is to adjust according to the condition - here you see seasoned players are attempting for big hits, then they are restrained because of the ball not coming & they are not sure about middling it. Top batsmen can bat on any type of wicket - slow, fast, bouncy, turning, low ... as long as it's consistent; but this one is slow in nature, then double paced, uneven and ball is stopping & gripping - in a Test match situation, end of Day 1, score might end up like 180-3, with Azhar Ali & Pujara scoring 256 ball 50 ......

Perhaps not. That is the only way I can justify the stupidity and delusion.

I agree with you that UAE has destroyed our LOI cricket. It is a breeding ground for chuckers, darters and plodders with low back-lift. However, the point that I am making is that these set of players will look poor on flat wickets as well.

The biggest issue with the PSL is not the pitch or the empty seats; the biggest issue is that the quality of cricketers on show is not good enough. If we put a number to it, I would argue that only 10-15% of the cricketers in this league can be considered good enough, and that is a staggeringly low number.

In addition, there is no contemporary world star on show. The closest one is Eoin Morgan, although he has not been a high profile player ever since England learned what white ball cricket is, in spite of the fact that he is the captain.

Asad is a good example that you cited. Indeed he is a wonderful driver of the ball, but he will fail - and does fail - 9/10 times on flat wickets because he is a mental midget with very poor decision making skills. More often than not, he will pick the wrong shot for the wrong ball, and that is another issue with our so-called batsmen. A topic that can be discussed for hours and hours.
 
New and fresh faces like Agha Salman and Sohail Akhtar are the only thing to look forward to in Lahore team.

Sweep was on he just missed. I reckon he gets rid of that belly and he will connect because that extra fat makes him a split second slower.
