PSL 2018 Match 28: Islamabad United clinch top spot with comprehensive win over Quetta Gladiators

Who are these players :danish

I only know 3: Stokes, Pandya and Faheem

Stokes
Faheem

Daylight

Pandya

Lol are you going by pure potential here for Faheem or is there an innings or two from him that I'm not aware of that puts him second?

I think the first goal Faheem (and Pandya for that matter) should set himself is to be as good as Holder. Holder is just couple of years older (a genuine 26) and already has 1000 runs in both format, 100s in Test, 99 in ODI along with 6 fifties. He also has 53 test wickets at 38 in tests and 101 wickets at 31 in ODI. I am sure Pakistan will take it. As an Indian fan I know i will take that from Pandya if he can do it in next two years..

Indeed, and he has won a Test (At UAE) with ball. Paying for a disengaged WI side, otherwise borj Holder & Russell were fantastic all-rounders for WI.

Amin's timing is out of this world, but guy is so heartless......

YSarfaraz needs to stay till the end to give QG any chance of posting a decent total.

Ammad has the classical mixed action. Not properly side nor properly front on. Not only does this make him injury prone it means he is losing out on 5-10 kph of pace with the same effort. Do we have proper bio-mechanical engineers and equipment in the NCA to help the fast bowlers with their actions?

If QG wins, both of them make the 1st qualifier (both on 12 points, KK can't reach them). Therefore, it's a choice of IU - whom they want in qualifier. Considering that 3 of the 4 foreigners almost certain not to tour PAK, facing QG in 1st qualifier could be better than KK.

If I were in charge of IU, I would have dropped today's game and rest key players against KK in next game.

Russell is a geninue ATG material, lost to T20s and God knows what (doping?). Everytime he moves on the field you know he is a natural athelete and everything comes naturally to him. All he needed was a good mentor few years back along with Okayish WI team. If he were in India, Aus or Eng he would have been the MVP in those teams..

Holder is a geninue trier.. He may not be as talented as Russell but the amount of commitment and effort he puts in everything he does is commendable. If Faheem and Pandya pick up just his attitude along with polishing their skills they will do well

LOL at posters who think Faheem is the second best Pace all rounder.. He is currently nobody in International cricket.. He might have lots of talent but unless he showcases that in Intl cricket he will remain nobody. Currently the best is Stokes followed by Woakes, Perara, Marsh, Holder and Pandya.. Stokes and Marsh are good in Tests too. This is my opinion based on actual performance and not on mythical talent and potential, which everyone and their dogs seems to have

The Qualifier is in Dubai. So if Quetta do make it their foreign players will play that. The two eliminators and the final are in Pakistan.

Anwar Ali is so bad man.

Faheem now the leading wicket taker in the PSL? Impressive.

Rana sahab the leading wicket taker now of the tournament now. Pandya can dream of achieving such a feat :srini:

I see, it's 3 games in PAK.

QG is bigger threat than KK in KO for sure - if they slot Amin 2 spot lower and send Roy, Watto, Rossouw, KP at 1-4; it'll be difficult to beat QG.

Anwar Ali is :(

Anwar out, Nawaz in. Rana Faheem Klusener Ashraf quietly becomes leading wicket taker of the tournament. Very Vell done boy :faheem

Do you really believe that? Because if this was the case than Asad would still be playing. I think the management is averse to taking risks and they believe (wrongly) that Raja and Amin are safer bets.

What's your love affair with Amin? This guy has NO chance of succeeding in international cricket.

With his first stroke you can tell Hasan is miles better then Anwar but he's young so needs to bat at 9.

Hassan should be batting higher up in this line up. Better than trash like Nawaz and Anwar.

Nawaz should focus on bowling more - this route isn't helping much. He can be a decent bowling all-rounder. Now, he is heading to become a nothing cricketer.

Faheem’s words of wisdom on Twitter seem to have translated into success. What a beast. Rana is improving day by day.

Quetta gonna regret leaving their biggest weapon until it's too late :rahat

MMHS has come too far to turn back now. :))

It's about the type of player. He came with the potential of Talat; but now I guess ship has sailed away with FZ, Talat. I am sure, if we are active, 5 years later you'll tag me for the same with Saud replacing Amin.

Don't worry Quetta fans, the power of friendship is miraculous and will save the day again for our favourite purple clad heroes :saif2

If it's an easy chase, instead of a pampering a privileged batsman, Fahim should be MoM today.

But oh no. Forgot there are fake friends :kp

I completely agree. With Amin, it was always about the mental side of things and his recent domestic performances over the past year or so had given me high hopes for this PSL, but as usual he has been a massive disappointment. As you said, the ship has sailed.

Interesting to see you mention Saud, do you really think he has the natural talent that Amin had? I haven't seen much of him but have heard good things.

Hassan is 10 times the batsman than Anwar or Nawaz but he has been batting below both of them throughout this PSL. QG think tank needs to press the reset button....

He was probably better in 2014 U19 WC, so you can understand. In couple of years time, you know ...... MoHa/Malik is costing PAK cricket in 4 dimensions.

Hopefully Hussain Talat replaces at least one of them with Malk being the prime candidate to be dropped. But indeed these two have set Pakistan back by at least 5 years.

I hope Duminy, Hales and Ronchi get out early so that our local boys get a chance.

Would have Zafar in the team but he probably won't be picked by Inzi. So Imad gets in over Nawaz for me.

Amir, Hasan, JK/RR/UKS, Imad, Faheem and Shadab is a good bowling lineup and lower batting order.

The phenom raising the Isloo hopes before he crushes them :rahat

Last air benderrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :rahat

Phenommmmmmmmmmmm :rahat

I get that rahat gets raosted here by almost everyone but he is really very talented and has been very good this PSL.
