Can one of these two gentlemen get out so that Talat gets to bat.


Ideally both get out so that Talat and Shadab bat.
 
Mir Hamza is the definition of mediocre... sub 130kph pace and no movement or anything.
 
When leftie gets out they send Talat and when right gets out they send Shadab. Good strategy by Deano/Misbah. I'm liking this IU side.
 
Don't understand sending Shadab before Talat, send the batting allrounder before the bowling allrounder.

They are certain for a top 2 finish - trying to give batting to everyone. Often dominating team misses out in KO games, because of the middle & late order not getting enough time in middle - my hunch is, it's DJ's call.

Left - Right combos don't matter that much in T20s especially when you are on top. I think they are trying to boost Shadabs confidence with the bat since he hasn't performed that well with the ball.

In that case I think Talat needs more practice as he is a proper batsman and will be key in crunch games. Also Sahibzada should have gotten a go if thats the IU philosophy.
 
Is it just me or has Shadab got a higher back-lift, and crouches down lower as well. Looks quite ugly TBH.

Yes pointed it out in my previous post. This is the modern backlift for ODIs as you can see from Bairstow, Hales, Root etc

Its a nice addition and more than that it shows that Shadab wants to improve

I don't have an issue with you hyping but when it goes to astronomical lengths such as 'Future ATG', 'ATG talent' etc, it comes off as cringeworthy.

I didn't hype him, just stated he's a quality prospect which he is. But Pakistan don't have the coaches to help him.
 
Shadab has some real batting talent, already proved that in NZ but still its been a long time since I hace seen a 19 year old playing so well and looking elegant as well

The only players I hype are Fakhar, Faheem, Shadab and Babar.

Imo they can all be “future ATG”. IDC if you think it’s cringe.

I think, Shahebzada isn't in their plan (neither should - Asif is far better at middle order and IU isn't struggling at the top. Personally, not sure why so much hype). Talat has batted in almost every game, therefore he is in touch, Asif as well, while Misbah probably doesn't want to bat; Shadab is a proper batsman who is been slotted at 8/9 to slog, hence they have given a chance today to build an innings.

Does Shadab really contribute so much that it's worth playing him through injury?
 
It would do a world of good for Talat to guide his side home today...


I just hope Duminy gets out and one of Asif/Amad/Fahim gets a bat and please no Misbah
 
With 6 tams, PSL needs to reduce foreign quota to 3. Too many average cricketers are blocking PAK players. Gohar can easily out do Samit Patel, who I thought was hired as cover for Asela Gunaratne (who was a cover for JP Duminy) - now, both JP & SP are playing and Gohar might end PSL with the best bowling stats .....

No disrespect, but players like Samit has nothing to offer in PSL - Watson, KP, Gayle ... I can understand that youngsters will be inspired, but .... Besides, Patel type spinners are available even in Patron's trophy. It should be top 2/3 players and pay them handsomely not to become home sick. These fixed cap is another rubbish idea - open bid are much better. May be with an individual cap of $0.5mn, and total Cap of $2.0mn max ($1.5mn min) with unused funds allowed to carry forward (that's if a team spends $1.7mn, this year, next year they are allowed to spend up to $2.3mn. That will help to bring TOP names - like this year AB & Kok, Munro, Guptil are busy - so some franchise might unofficially book them, under spend this year, and bring next year. At pen bidding, teams can target players as well - this fixed order draft picking doesn't help building squad.
 
[MENTION=79064]MMHS[/MENTION] did you see ammad butt today.For me the guy has much potential but he has not yet sorted out his action which is depressing.With that height and physique he can be handy in tests?

Bumrah is the best bowler in Asia and far better than anything Pakistan have don't be swayed by poor and embarrassing fluke performances, you are due for a reality check
 
Opening with JP in this PSL was a master stroke by Misbah and Deano. Although I wanted to see Sahibzada Farhan in that position but it was a great move nevertheless.

He'll be playing tmro against KK, so hopefully Arthur will see.

For Test, I actually like the old traditional Aussie formula of 6+4 + the best gloves-man in the country, regardless of batting; with 2 batsmen sharing 25 overs/Test. Aussies did use 5 bowlers sometimes in their history - 6 times to be precise to accommodate 6 cricketers as all-rounder - George Giffen, Monty Noble, Jack Gregory, Keith Miller, AK Davidson & Rechie Benaud. If Amad has that ceiling - indeed a Test option.
For the time being, his target should be 3rd/4th pacer in ODI and No. 8 for the WC team in UK (& AUS 2020)
