Do you deny our abysmal performances in the era he was captain? 2 chuckers helped him win series in the UAE. He won overseas series with his bowlers, not batsman. Maqsood, U. Akmal being dropped despite averaging 35+ overseas, look at his two biggest investments, Shafiq and Azhar in ODI’s? Zero performance. Making AA ODI captain? How can you defend that?
 
Multan fans losing hope. Getting tougher and tougher for Multan.
 
Asif has somewhat negated the eralier tuk tuk. Still need another 55-60 though to make a match of it.

So wait, first it was 'Misbah damaged the mindset of Pakistani batting youth' and now it's shifted to the national team? Keep your story straight.

Also, rofl at blaming him for dropping Maqsood and Junior Akmal. How are they doing now that they've been freed from the tyranny of Misbah's tuk tuk instructions?
 
I would be very inclined towards trying Asif Ali as opener with Fakhar in T20s. Asif Ali is used to opening

Yet Hussain Talat is the young batsman that has created the biggest hype this season and now people are starting to think about adding Asif Ali to the Pakistan squad. Throw Shadab Khan into the list of youngsters that have come up under Misbah and yeah, talking about the youngsters on the Islamabad squad is perfectly valid.

Don’t act surprised when there are other coaches in the team also. Your love affair with Misbah is well documented. I’m sure if he plays til he is 50, you will find a way to defend him. Get a clue about your geezer. He’s done. How do you know Talat isn’t being coached by Deano? What will the young batsman look up to when they see their captain and national hero being made to look like a tail-ender.

The batting youth was in the national team. Your love for Misbah is damaging your thinking.
You cannot reverse the damage done prior. Akmal doesn’t have a brain but you cannot deny his performances in the beginning. Same with Maqsood, who performed against a prime Steyn but was pushed down the order.

He played with the team that's given to him and did quite well. Batting has always been a problem for Pakistan so it wasn't going to get fixed overnight. Misbah isn't a magician that he'll waive a wand and we'll get world-class batsmen.
Also in hindsight Maqsood and Akmal were bigger failures than Asad and Azhar

Deano is responsible for everything good in the Islamabad Utd team.

Misbah is responsible for everything bad that has happened in Pakistan cricket in the last decade or so.

Why are Maqsood, Shezhad and Umar Akmal not world class players now that they aren't being held back by Misbah?
 
The difference between this match and all the other ISLU matches is that Misbah batted... compulsive match loser :ashwin

I was talking about the ODI format. I mentioned U. Akmal in Tests to show he was dropped unfairly despite performing well.
Yes Misbah did well with the team but to deny he had any influence in the team selected is being naive. A 40 year old Zulfiqar selected for an ENG tour, really?
 
This is exactly why I'm sick of seeing Misbah the glorious captain in this tournament. Same with other oldies. They can play on MERIT, but why also throw them captaincy?

Once again. You fail to understand and take things to an extreme.
I stated that it is impossible for you to know if ONLY Misbah has had influence on Talat's batting.
As I mentioned before about the Akmals and Maqsoods, they were fine young batsman who were not given the right platform to flourish under Misbah. Compare for example, Shehzad against NZ in 09' and Shehzad against NZ in 18'. I Now I'm not saying it's completely Misbah's fault but he having been part of many collapses himself earlier in his career, advised defense over attack.
 
Misbah scored 6 times more runs than Shadab and Talat combined highlighting the importance of experience
 
Ok the reason that Faheem didn’t whack him out of the park is because Usman is a skiddy bowler and this surface is skiddy so it’s hard to hit across the line.

9 times out of 10 Klusener will send a bowler out of the park.

Faheem should have tried to play it straight, he played with the angle of shinwari’s swing
 
It will be hilarious if IU takes out KK for less than 100. It will be the opposite of what happened in last year's edition.

He is pretty strong straight down the ground, he shouldnt have played that cross batted shot unless it was the last over
 
I hear Zafar is handy with the bat - if IU gets 130 it'll be a tough chase

Usman has been God-send for KK. All their bowlers apart from Afridi and Usman have failed to flatter.
